Poor experience in overall service, communication and repairs…read more Service Manager was non-responsive when I brought the car back after paying $2k to fix the engine warning light. They had put in new fuel pump and fuel pump control module. The warning light came on repeatedly after I got it back (same day!. I brought it back and after looking at it again, they texted me it'd cost $2k to fix the same problem I reported the first time, this time by replacing the fan assembly. After I declined that repair (through the text # I'd been using with them), I couldn't get a response about getting my car back. This was 3:30 on a weekday. I called multiple numbers until someone finally told me my rep had to leave for a medical issue. When I went in to pick up the car, I told the dept service manager that I hoped the rep would be okay. He looked at me funny and told me he had a dental appt. So they made no arrangements to have any one cover his customers and answer their calls/texts and release their cars. This was the second time I brought a car there for repair and had to bring it back for another fix. Never again.

After calling around and looking for a company that could detail my car during these crazy COVID times....I was referred to Nick and Gilbert! They both were very professional and courteous upon arrival. I loved that they were mobile and could drive to me at my workplace. My car was gifted to me with a weird scent. Nick and Gilbert assured me that it wasn't going to be a problem. After 3-4 hours that they spent baked in the sun, detailing my car (interior, exterior, and my engine compartment) it was ready for pick up. When I walked out to look at my car, I couldn't believe how great my car looked! It looked like I had just driven it out of a dealer lot. They had done some paint correction from the previous owners' scratching it up. The interior was shiny and felt smooth, none of that quarter car wash feel and look. I called late on a Saturday night. Left a message. I was real suprised when the shop owner promptly called me back. I was also suprised at the level of humility and customer friendlyness. The owner was plesant and courtious thur my million question battery. After a lot of questions I was confident, this was the place to buy my rebuilt 4R100 transmission. Side note. Allstar dyno test every rebuild they ship. That means it dont leave the shop unless it works. This was a huge selling point for me. I installed my F-350 auto tranny. I had a few issues on my end that were solved with a quick call to one of Allstars several experienced transmission builders. With the transmission in and working. I just want to say thanks to the guys at Allstar, for making my first experience a pleasant one. Not often do you get pampered when purchasing goods now days. And it was an awesome experience. I got an online offer from this group and when I went in person they totally low balled me. Offered me significantly lower than the online offer and carmax, carvana, and autonation. Ended up selling for $1k more elsewhere. The sales guys were nice upfront but had a bit of an attitude through the text chain the trying to negotiate.

A) that is a long time to have a car so they must be doing something right & b) I am the worst driver so that is a really long time to have a car. The car keeps running because I have the best Porsche mechanics ever. Eisenbud's is honest shop with high quality work at bargain (it is a Porsche, mind you!) prices. Yes, if you are impatient... this is not the place for you. It can take awhile to get an appointment (which I don't mind) but I find the wait worth it.

I found out he was fiddling with my air/fuel mix. My car drove perfect before I brought it to him (with the exception of the boost issue). The CIS system is finicky to begin with and still is not right even after multiple visits back to Eisenbud as well as to another shop to figure out what the cranky old guy did to my car.
