I used to come here on occasion for a decade. They did a major engine repair: took five weeks, inclusive of head shop, partial rebuild, and timing belt. Within a week of pickup , car performed perhaps better than before (except fan buzz/vibration). They'd suggested a new check-engine light was due to failed NOx sensor, sure it would be covered by VW's emission warranty. This turned out to not be the case, and although they had a way to verify that (VIN + phone), they winged it, telling me it would be free with dealer, or "about $500" with Euro-Tech. I appreciated that until I learned, after hours on the phone with 3 dealers and VW USA twice, that this replacement would not be covered (VIN settles this). Euro-Tech front office rep Becky, who seemed to gate-keep against talking with owner or mechanics during the main job, took a tense, ominous tone to calls about every 10 days, such that it made me nervous (I felt there was something they weren't telling me). I eventually got to speak with owner's son, who thankfully knows how to speak with a customer well. When it was time to go pick up the car after work near the end of their 5pm close, office rep Becky was curt, hustling me to inform me that "we don't have a bunch of time to stand around and chat." Quite a thing to shovel at a customer who was paying nearly $5k and waiting over 5 weeks for the job to finish. Days later, problems related to the check-engine light and apparently-related AdBlue warning came to a head: NOx sensor they assured me would be warranty-covered (which if they weren't sure about, shouldn't have asserted covered) led to a warning the engine would not start within 200 miles. I'd updated Euro-Tech's front office rep a few times as I learned more between dealerships and VW USA directly, and landing at a dealership that instead treated me with complete professionalism at each step there forward. This Euro-Tech office rep Becky said she called some other dealership, concluding they said that this repair would be "covered" (without diagnosis, and apparently without VIN check: manual transmission model mattered, which VW cut out of the warranty Euro-Tech was so sure would provide coverage, which basic/reasonable due diligence would have revealed), but this was likely made up. I asked her to instead call the dealership I chose (McDonald), which would be bound by terms all other dealerships have to obey. In her alleged conversation with McDonald VW's service lead, there was apparent confusion about whether I had accepted any sort of "payment," which I had not, but she asserted "you took the money" (was not even offered, as has been confirmed, but she oddly chose to assert this). VW dealer service manager then quickly/shortly verified everything with VW, learning what a basic and proper investigation trail would have discovered (manual model not covered). Oops (confirmed Becky was making stuff up). Not a problem that she was mistaken, but her generally defensive and brutal attitude towards a customer that was actually still considering them for another job was a problem. I chose dealership to fix that for a similar out-the-door price, and I concluded, as long as office rep Becky is at Euro Tech, I'll not return. Had they preferred to get it right, they'd have $700+ more, and 5 stars instead of 1 (would be a 2 for the engine job, but this office problem is big enough to justify this reprise at 1).. Material facts above are all verifiable, and a few years later, I'm happy I've kept my European cars away from this shop. They may try to make snotty retaliatory comments again here too, but I know readers who've been burned by shops here and elsewhere will know to weigh this comment soberly among others like it and positive ones just the same. read more

Brought in for service on a couple things and asked for a quote on a broken seat mechanism that was already diagnosed. They took a 10 second look at the cable I told them was broke, and then I end up with a $175 "diagnostic" on our bill, an hour of their shop rate. Then quotes on that and other things had the parts obscenely marked up from OEM pricing from the dealership (25%-100% dependent upon the part). Despite their positive reviews, just another scumbag shop. Steer clear. read more

Another great experience and really good deal here today. The Q3 seemed to be running rough and needed an oil change also, and I expected with diagnostics and the oil, at least $250.00 if not more, before any actual work was done. Instead, they not only ran diags but also test drove it, found no real issues and charged just for the oil change at about $100. Besides the fact that about any other shop would have tagged us for diags and test drive, others would have come up with something to fix and bill for, in my experience. They did make some good recommendations but, honest place that it is, that's all. As others have said here, you just won't find a better shop. And you'll see some very nice cars in their lot for service, BMW, MB, Audi, etc all the time. Highly recommend! read more

We called ahead of time and asked Becky if they could look at our car. She specifically told us they could look at it today and had time to look at it. We did not expect service today, but we were clearly told they had time to look at it and assess signals. I arrived with the car, and now Becky has changed her mind and said they can't look at it anymore unless I leave it here overnight. I said I could not leave it here overnight. we were told they could look at it today. I said I could come back tomorrow morning for the service, if it is looked at now. then Becky proceeded to get argumentative and asked me THREE MORE TIMES for me to leave it there overnight. I said I could not leave it overnight. It was a waste of my time and also unnecessary dealing with Becky's poor attitude and lack of basic respect and decency. I just experienced the BEST car-related interaction I have ever had in my life. I came in fully expecting to need my brake rotors replaced (overheated my brakes going down I70!) . Instead, they took time out of their day to do a quick check of the rotors and brake pads and told me everything was fine and gave me tips to keep my brakes in better shape going forward. My BMW 328 had a check engine light on a week-long trip from Chicago to Lakewood, CO. I called Euro-Tech to see if they could fit me in. Despite being booked up, they let me bring the car in for a check knowing I was on a road trip. The fault was due to the O2 sensor and they were able to make the repair quickly. I'll say that I am generally skeptical of a business that has all five star reviews... We have a vehicle that needed brakes; front and back. A neighbor helped with the front, but was stumped with the sensors. I called several competitors and even the dealer about pricing. I received no call backs, even logged a request on a competitor site and when I called to follow up (they promised to return call) my enquiry was in front of him-but they had done nothing about it. I could not get anyone to give me an idea (yes I understand that I am not a mechanic) of what it might cost. LOVE THIS PLACE, as everyone knows you never know what you're going to get with a mechanic. Our Q5 TDI shutdown, as in dead in the water, 80 miles W of Denver. Had it towed to Euro-Tech after reading the many positive reviews. Becky, their office manager, worked us into their very busy schedule and Tyler (auto technician)quickly identified and resolved the problem. I thought we were probably looking at a new alternator and battery($1800). Instead, Tyler discovered incorrect trailer light wiring installed by a technician in Salt Lake City. Needed help with my aging Audi A4. Didn't want to spend a lot as the vehicles residual value is low. They got me in and diagnosed the issue. They walked me through the pros and cons of replacing certain items. In the end I am happy to have gone to see them. My experiences with the Audi dealer and 303 motors are that they always seem to have something expensive I need to replace. I will be retiring to Eurotech. It's friendly and honest. The first time they not only discovered a major mistake made by the previous mechanic but Tyler also personally contacted him so that there would be no dispute about the issue. Went to them after my previous mechanic failed to fix my car multiple times, the car worked great for about a week, before one of my sparkplug's wiring went bad, after they had just fixed a different sparkplug right next to it. Surprised they did not catch this, and upon going back, after saying they wouldn't charge me to take a look, charged me another 80$ and denied having said they wouldn't. They also took a piece off my dashboard and kept it, whether intentionally or not, but it was missing after I realized it that same week. After getting that spark plug fixed and my car back, THIS time my driver-side door was very heavy and did not open smoothly and still doesn't, despite it being fine before going back. When I asked if they would correct their mistake, they refused, and proceeded to lecture me about "how nothing in the world is free" and " they would fix it if it was their mistake". My car does work, although, for the price, it should be working a lot better than it currently is. read more

Becky really helped me out and saved me from an expensive repair. I had brought my car to Euro-Tech in 2016/17 for oil changes. They were always very accommodating, reasonably priced, and pleasant to deal with. Recently my VW broke down and I called them for an estimate after the initial diagnosis/estimate from VW ($740). While I gave several mechanics my info only Becky at Euro-Tech offered to double check this repair to make sure it was not under warranty. The repairs actually were 100% covered under my powertrain warranty. I would like to reiterate the car was at a VW dealership! VW will be fixing my car for free thanks to Becky's due diligence. The Euro-Tech team went that extra step to solve a known but unique electrical double lock out problem with my 1991 BMW. I had tried all the dealerships, BMWUSA and fifteen repair shops to find the solution. Then I met Ernie, the owner on the phone. He talked with me after hours on a Friday evaluating everything I had heard and done. He even got out the wiring diagram and walked me though the relevant circuits over the phone! Ultimately, I scheduled a shop visit and met the rest of the team. Everyone knew about my car before I got there and welcomed me. If you're looking for an honest BMW mechanic, look no further. I came in with a series of lights blinking on the dashboard of my 2006 325i. I cringed when I handed over my keys because I almost KNEW that I would be out several thousand dollars. Ernie was really nice and helpful and provided me with a loaner while they diagnosed the car. Imagine my surprise (and delight) to hear that a lot of the items that need to be done are not urgent. There was absolutely NO pressure to complete everything at once - and I was given an honest and helpful assessment for each issue. Most impressive to me was the fact that when I went in my airbag light was on. After some work, the folks at Euro Tech suspected that the problem was either in the airbag sensor or the airbag itself. They ordered both parts and performed the repairs. However, after installing the new part, Ernie reinstalled the old part to make sure there was a difference (ie: that the light would be on when the old airbag was installed, but off with the new airbag). When this was not the case (the light remained off even with the old bag re-installed), Ernie figured out that it was likely an electrical or wiring issue. So, rather than charge me upward of $1K for the airbag repair (which I, none the wiser, would have paid), he charged only for his time. Awesome. There is NO WAY a dealership would have handled this so honestly. I was pretty ready to get rid of my car when I headed in - but, now that I've found an honest mechanic, I just might keep it after all. HIGHLY recommend. read more

This is a little late but never forgotten this shop saved me in so many ways! I am a travel nurse and was traveling to Boston from LA and in the bad snow storm the beginning of February and LA put the wrong windshield wiper fluid in my car. My fluid froze about a 100 miles out of Denver and I managed to make it there in a snow storm and was snowed in that night. I thankfully googled this shop which was close to me and they said bring it right over. They went on a mission to help me by taking apart my whole windshield wiper system defrosted it then put it back together and put the correct fluid in. They also had the parts called in just incase something cracked. This may seem very small to some people but for a Florida girl who doesn't know anything about snow and only had days to get to Boston for my next contract it was everything! Horrible customer service. They put a new radiator in my car it started leaking less than a year after I bought it. Asked was it under warranty said they would call me back never did. When I called them back used every excuse why it was not under warranty including calling me a Liar. Stay away from this business HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
