As luck would have it, we got to have Perrett's twice today. We were driving through on our way home to Michigan and ordered a pizza to go... thin crust amazing. As I was picking up the pizza I noticed a lot of people eating pasta and it looked good. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we blew a tire on our camper, put the spare on and it was flat...ugh. So we had to come back to Riverton for a replacement... (side note RTO tire is the Bomb for getting us in at 5:30 on a Friday night). So we got to enjoy Perrett's for dinner also. We both had pasta and both truly enjoyed it. If we ever find ourselves in Riverton again... I know where I'm stopping! Nice enough food, meh ambiance. Perrett's is a little hole-in-the-wall Italian eatery in central Wyoming. Not exactly an Italian mecca. Seating is pretty limited and they were rather busy for 5 pm on a wet, snowy weekday evening. Still, service was nice and quick. It's painted up to look like a hokey stereotypical bistro, which they don't quite manage, but it's a nice try. The hanging television set was tuned to Fox News, which hampered my appetite quite a bit. I realize that this is rural Wyoming, but you could at least tune it to something a bit less...politically charged...while people eat. How about ESPN? My chicken pasta plate was decent, but nothing spectacular, while and my companion's calzone was proclaimed to be "good". I liked the thick piece of homemade garlic toast included with my dish. read more

Service was fast. Food was good. We had the chicken, bacon, jalapeño pizza and meatball sub. Both were more than enough food. Pizza crust was perfect and bread was fresh in the sub. Great lunch. read more

Traveled up to Riverton, WY for work and stopped by again at Perrett's to try something different. I loved the pesto last time and asked the waitress for a favorite and she recommended the Rigatoni tossed with Tomato, Garlic, Sausage, Hint of Vodka and topped with Mozzarella. Lightning struck twice! I spent two years living in Italy so I am very picky about pasta and this was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was delicious! Good pasta, below average calzones, amazing chicken green chili soup. My calzone was a bit smaller than other Italian restaurants and tasted a little... off. Best Italian in Riverton, however! We come here at least 2-3 times a month and never disappointed. The prices are reasonable because evrything is made fresh on location. Last time I got the bread bowl with the salad - definitely must try it! It is a bowl of bread filled with the soup of the day and a good sized salad. The pizzas are good and the bread is fresh. The pasta is so delicious. I also recommend the spinach artichoke dip - to die for!!! Comes warm with a flat bread. Even if you are picky, they have lots of good food. read more

So yeah. You're in rural Wyoming. You really can't expect much out of the dining options here, can you? Or...can you? We saw this place driving up and down the "strip" when we were looking for a place to eat that wasn't fast food. We spotted this lil' Italian restaurant. Now, I'm not a big fan of Italian food -- not that I don't like it -- it's just typically too heavy for my tastes. We thought, "Why not?!", parked the car and went in. The restaurant is tiny, but again, this is Bumfuck Wyoming. They don't need restaurants with acres of seating in them. It's not fancy -- it looks more like a diner than an Italian bistro, and they only have one bathroom for each gender. We both ordered Calzones and let me tell you, they were AMAZING. So good, that we ended up coming back here FOUR TIMES while in town! EXCELLENT value for the money (read: Cheap AND delish). I have yet to find an Italian restaurant that matches up to Perrets yet. These guys have great food in a well established location. The value for the dollar is right on. The downside is the limited seating. They do have outdoor seating in good weather. If they would expand into a bigger place Perrett's could be a five star place IMHO. read more

Working out of town in Riverton, we decided to look for Italian. Yelp suggested this place. All I can say is WOW. A bit of a hole in the wall, but very nice and clean. They had a wide range of food on the menu, from pasta, to pizza and calzones. I chose the sausage rigatoni and a cesar salad. It came with 2 very large pieces of garlic toast. It was probably some of the best rigatoni I have ever had. The wait staff were very pleasant and prompt. I highly recommend this place and if I am ever thru this town again I will be stopping in for seconds. read more

Best Barbecue Chicken Pizza I've ever had. Perrett's is a local restaurant with incredible food, friendly service, and friendly prices. I've dined there twice and now consider it a destination restaurant if I travel to Riverton. Everybody in our party of five had great food. Our son had the Italian sausage spaghetti. Couldn't believe how much meat was in the dish. I just wish Perrett's wasn't 700 miles away so I could go there more often. read more

Loved it. Stopped in on our way to Thermopolis. We ordered: a side salad, a Perrett salad, kid's spaghetti, lasagne and a Thai pizza. It was all great! Note that the marinara sauce is very chunky; almost like a bruschetta topping or a salsa. I wanted a glass of Cab but didn't order one. I'm no wine snob but, I wanted to know if the bottle had been opened TODAY (hey, I like freshly opened wine, lol) and our server couldn't verify if it had been opened today so no wine for me...wah. I inquired about just buying a bottle but I knew I wasn't going to drink an ENTIRE bottle of wine & I wouldn't be allowed to take the bottle with me. I wish she would've offered to open a fresh bottle and chances are I would've had two glasses, meaning more money for the restaurant. Oh well. read more

I lived here ten years ago and loved this place! Came back to show my family and was very disappointed. On a Wednesday night at 7:30, we walked in without any acknowledgment from anyone. Waited a half an hour to be seated and while waiting, listened to the waitress complain about how busy it was and how annoyed she was with customers and the cook staff. By the time we got our food it was 8:40. It was good but the service was so slow, that I just didn't enjoy it..... Be prepared for interesting service. read more

I had a great meal here. I had the lasagna and it was hot and cheesy. I loved the crispy cheese along the edge of the hot plate. I've been stuck eating terrible food in Lewistown, MT all week so this was a real treat on my way back home. I haven't eaten anywhere else in Riverton, but I'm sure this is the best choice! We always eat here when we are in town on business. The hotel recommended it and we have never looked back. Always fresh and homemade deliciousness. Three Cheese Manicotti, pizza, Mac n cheese, it's all great! You know if the hometown people like it, it's good food. read more

My husband and I are in Riverton after seeing Yellowstone NP. We saw good reviews here and decided to give it a shot. The value for your money is blatantly obvious.
