My 1991 Mustang 5.0 LX Vert
    Richard A.

Better late than never,...Jose at Performance Mustangs is one of few that knows Foxbody Mustangs. My 1991 Mustang 5.0 convertible LX is my 3rd Stang (2nd FoxBody) so I recognize knowledge. So last month, I had Jose replace my shocks and struts on my Foxbody and has been honest with his estimate and overview. Jose has been very honest for my first visit and I have no doubt he will continue to be for my next visit. So go check out others, check out the Ford Service Dept and then check out Performance Mustangs. That's what I did.

I'm looking into buying a Borla ATAK Cat-Back Exhaust for my 2002 GT Mustang and was wondering if you guys are able to install it?

Hello. Yes, we are able to install it. Give us a call in the afternoon M-F to go over pricing and your availability. Thanks.

I have a 4 cylinder and want to engine swap it, you guys do that?

Hello. We do not offer that type of service. It might be cheaper for you to purchase an original v8 Mustang instead of doing a swap.

Do you install new heads? Currently I have stock heads in my foxbody 5.0 and want to switch to either trick flow heads or edelbrock heads, if so how much for the install?

Hello. Give us a call at 714-981-7563 to go over an estimate with you. Thanks.

Do you install aem gauges on a 2017 mustang Ecoboost?

    No, we do not.

Do you fix spark plug blow out thread repair. If so what is your price? The car is 2002 mustang gt

    What kind of car?

Downey Car Care Center was going to charge an additional $289.47 for a brake caliper that was not needed and an additional $152.10 for a brake fluid service had we replaced the caliper. While Downey Car Care Center highly recommended the caliper, Alex's Auto Repair stated they did not want us to waste a lot of money if the calipers were not the problem. Truly grateful for Alex's Auto Repair prompt responses and amazing customer service. They verified the caliper did not need to be replaced. They simply lubricated our caliper. We were able to save over $400 and we are grateful. Thank you for your ethics, honesty, and time. It truly makes a difference. I had already purchased an OEM replacement handle from an authorized Honda parts dealer, and initially planned to have the dealership install it. However, the dealership quoted me a very high labor cost and required me to leave my car overnight due to their busy schedule. After doing some research, I found Action Auto in Cypress and spoke with Mark. From the very first phone call, Mark was friendly, professional, and transparent. Best of all, his quote was about half the price of what the dealership wanted to charge. The convenience was a huge bonus. They told me I could bring my car in anytime between 8am-5pm (and even Sundays 8am-3pm). I dropped off my car at 8:30am, and it was ready by lunchtime the same day. On top of that, they even offered a complimentary shuttle ride home--something the dealership no longer provides. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Mark's customer service was outstanding both over the phone and in person. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, and I noticed several repeat customers while I was there, which says a lot about their reputation. Most importantly, my door handle works perfectly now--just like when I first bought the car. I'll definitely be coming back to Action Auto for future repairs. Thank you, Mark, for making this such an easy and positive experience!

No upselling, no runaround, no "don't call us, we'll call you" and disappear. Just straight-up honest work and clear communication. I came in today to get a quote for a check engine light related to an O2 sensor. Before coming in, I had already priced the part so I could confirm exactly what was needed. Prior to agreeing to the $200 diagnostic, I asked Brian whether any of that fee would be credited toward the repair if I moved forward. He told me that **half** would be credited, meaning $100, which I felt was fair. Based on that, I expected something close to the following: * Diagnostic: $200 ($100 credited) * Labor: $200 (install time is .9 hrs + 1 hr diagnostic) * O2 Sensor: $179 (the same OEM part costs $59.98 at any auto parts store) Brian then quoted me **$579 total**. When I asked about the previously mentioned diagnostic credit, he declined to honor it. I also asked if I could bring in my own part. That's when things really went downhill--and honestly, I wouldn't have posted this review if it weren't for what he said next. In a very belittling tone, Brian responded, *"Do you bring your own lunch to a restaurant?"* He then continued by saying the building costs $10K a month and that they're expensive because they can be. That may be true, but I'll never know--because I would never, under any circumstances, do business with someone who treats customers that way. Thanks for all your "help," Brian.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!
