They did such a great job on my white party dress! I picked it up the day before we left which was risky but everything was PERFECT!

Brought a bridesmaid dress to be made shorter and add a patch to cover some cleavage. I could tell that she didn't love my idea to use the excess material from the bottom of the dress to use to cover my cleavage. But she did it bc I asked her too-she wanted to do a good job and wasn't sure it'd be enough material! In the end, I was very happy with the outcome. Only thing I didn't love was the price-$40 for the patch and $80 to tailor the dress shorter. She was able to get it done in 1 week, which I was thankful for. read more

Very kind service. Accidentally un-hemmed my dress slacks and asked if they can assist me. On the spot the lady had me remove them, hemmed them, and wouldn't take anything for her time although I insisted. She has been in business 6 yrs and deserves any opportunity to earn your business. Will be coming to her moving forward. Thank you read more

I rarely use a tailor but I have a wedding coming up and I bought a tuxedo from a firm out of state and it needs alterations. I viewed the reviews of Perfect Fit on various sites on the internet and all of them had very high reviews so I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed, they were very professional, knew their business, promised my tuxedo on the date needed. The most important issue of all is the vest that went with the tuxedo was about 2 inches from fitting and not enough extra material in the vest to expand, so I thought what am I going to do? No problem for Perfect Fit, they are just going to add material to the back of the vest, so close to the same type that you will not be able to tell the difference and now I have a complete Tuxedo !!!!!! I will recommend Perfect Fit to anyone that asks ??????? read more

I had a bridesmaid dress altered here, had them shorten a strap less than a week away from the wedding & when I came in & tried it on it fit like a glove!! Definitely going to be using Perfect Fit in the future.. thank you!! read more

I needed a wide-skirt, bridal shower dress for a girl altered at the hemline. The cost for the alteration was under $30, which is very reasonable, and the task took only three days for completion. The store hours are good and allowed for pick up right after work. The hemline was very well done with double stitching. read more

Miss Lou as I call her is amazing!! She is so nice! The first time I ever went to Perfect Fit was for my wedding dress alteration. I purchased the dress at DB but they were charging an arm and leg to alter. I'm a tiny gal I knew it would be work taking this dress in. The top of my dress was all beaded COMPLETELY. I had a lot of anxiety when I first took it in but Miss Lou assured me she could fix it. 6 months later I went to try my dress on and it was too tight! I was mortified! I had not thought I put on any weight. Again, I took my dress to miss lou and again she fixed it for me! She is amazing with her hands! Not only that 5 years later I went back to her to bring some pants of my husbands and she remembered me and also did amazing work on his pants! 10 's up! read more

Highly recommend! I brought a few dresses here to be altered in order to save money rather than buying a different size. She did an amazing job and they fit great!! I'll be bringing my jeans to her in the fall since she said she can save the original hems! What a great hidden gem! read more

I have a wedding dress that didn't zip up all the way. So I found this place! A nice lady made me try it on in a private room. Then she put some pins in where it would need to be altered. The next week I went to pick it up without hesitation because I know she did a good job. And I tried it on today. YES! It fits!! read more

Perfect Fit - This suit was altered a hundred different ways in order to fit and Perfect Fit was awesome! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Garland, Texas

The shirt I initially brought in to be slimmed at the sides came out ok. It looked good when she pinned it at the initial fitting and it looked good when I tried it on before paying, but I didn't realize how tight she actually made it because it only fits when I'm standing with my arms at my sides. I don't wear it anymore because it is too restraining when I sit or move my arms. This is partially my fault but I feel like she should have known to make it less slim. I also took in a peacoat recently to have the sleeves shortened. she did a fair job on that too. I think it's half an inch too short but there's nothing I can do about it now. I really wish it was that tiny bit longer. It was also kind of expensive ($34), which she claimed to be due to the straps around the wrists that had to be moved up. read more

The staffs are nice and helpful. I have been here four times and the outcome is always as expected. They get their job done quickly. The price for hemming the sleeves is about 9$ or 10$. read more

I had 6 pair of pants altered in the waist at this location. They did an awesome job and they pressed each pair. I will be back.

I had a fleece sweatshirt and a formal dress altered. Turned out great. Quick turnaround. I think they have a new owner Sunny. She was very friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices. Would use them again. read more

I love this tailor. As someone who is very short and not skinny, I am constantly in need of alterations. I used to go all the way into Dallas when I needed clothes tailored, but it turned out to be such a hassle that I started to look closer to me. I love coming here, because the tailor is very honest about what can and can't be done and she is very honest about timelines. As someone who is always looking for quick turnarounds, I really appreciate the honesty. She's been able to do incredible work same-day as well as less rushed, take-your-time alterations. I get so many compliments on my clothes and most people can't tell my clothes were altered! I definitely recommend her! read more

I came to Perfect Fit because I had an expensive pair of jeans that were way too big. Instead of buying another pair, I went to Perfect Fit. They literally fit me like a glove now. It doesn't even look like I got the jeans tailored...it looks like they were made for me. I'm so impressed by the quality of their work for such an affordable price. Great and quality service. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely love this business! I needed my tuxedo shirt altered the week of my wedding. I'm on the thinner side and the "small" shirt looked like it could be used as a hot air balloon. They brought in the sleeves and the torso part of the shirt and I looked the part on my wedding day. They have earned my continued business! read more

I took in my daughter's formal dress to see if it was possible to let out on the sides. It is a very intricate dress, and I was certain that I was going to be told no, but my daughter really wanted to wear this dress for her event. The owner said to leave it with her and she would see what she could do. Amazingly, she was able to take the dress apart (!) and let it out perfectly!! I could not tell at all where the mending was done until she pointed it out to me! We were so pleased!! The cost was so extremely modest that I ended up giving her a significant tip because I know that the time that she took to alter this dress was a lot. Her kindness is so appreciated, and we will certainly visit again! Thank you! read more

Have been going here for years. They've fit many suits for me over the years and I have never had an issue. I highly recommend this place for their fast and reliable service. The suits I've had altered have always fit perfect. read more

Very nice old lady took my measurements for 4 pair of dress pants that needed to be taken in at the waist. I was maybe there for only 10 minutes so she could measure me. I've been to some places that take it in too much and their too tight however she did a phenomenal job on all four. Plus the bill came out lower than quoted so can't be mad at that (about $15 each)! I will definitely be back for any alterations in the future! Thank you!! read more

This wonderful tailor has expanded my closet by altering and updating skirts, pants, tops and even shortened my mother of the groom evening dress to cocktail length so I can wear it again. She is very experienced and creative and extremely well priced. She even sewed our very heavy duty outdoor drapes for our patio. I highly recommend you give Perfect Fit tailor a try. read more

this is an awesome place. Sang has been doing my tailoring for many years. she is amazing. I am very pleased with her work.

Absolutely the best! I had a bridesmaid dress (bought from Macys for $25) that needed to be five inches wider. I bought a second dress to use for the extra fabric. I went to four different seamstresses and they all chastised me and the bride for getting too small a dress and either said they do not do that kind of work or that it would cost "a lot of money"- one lady quoted me $150, then lowered it down to $130 as a "favor". That was still waaay more than I budgeted. It was a lot of work to be done since the dress was lined, had ruffles and needed to be seamless where the extra fabric went- all this was alot of work just for 5" of added fabric down the whole dress. I am so lucky I kept looking. This lady at Perfect Fit was AWESOME! She has really good English, very nice and an absolute expert! She gave me no problems about my dress, assured me it could be done (other ladies made it seem questionable), and priced the work for $55. Done in less than two week and it fit perfectly. She did such an awesome job extending the dress and lining- you couldnt even tell where the extra fabric was. I loved the work she did so much that I gave her an extra tip. I've used others seamstresses before, but I've never had such a great experience till I went here. Absolutely the best! read more

I took a mother of the bride dress over to Perfect for my daughter's wedding. I ordered it online, so sizing was questionable. I only had a week till the wedding and the dress was WAAY TOO SMALL. I was mortified and didn't know what I was going to do. I needed 4 inches more to fit in the dress and another 2" to move around in the dress. First, the tailor tried to pull fabric from the seams, but 4" is quite a bit. She was so wonderful, she had some similar material and she actually duplicated the ruffled pattern and created side panels..... It was a ''PERFECT FIT" (no pun intended), but it was PERFECT!!! I couldn't believe she was able to do this and so quickly too. I truly recommend PERFECT FIT TAILOR; she can make anything fit. read more

They're miracle workers!!! I have a formal wedding to attend out of town this weekend and my dress came in late and was too small. In less than 4 days (I had to pay extra but am so relieved I don't care) they were able to fix it. Miss Lou worked with me to come up with a creative solution to a rather complex problem and it looks beautiful. I'm so thankful and couldn't be happier. I can't wait to show it off this weekend! read more

Because of our size and physique, my son and I both cannot wear off the rack clothes. Consequently, we have been coming to Perfect Fit for years to have our clothing tailored to our dimensions. Although we have always been very satisfied, our most recent visit exceeded our expectations. We had a suit, a sports jacket, two wool shirts and three pairs of pants that needed to be virtually re-made, almost like making them from scratch. Our clothes were ready in three days, and the price for all this work was very, very reasonable. Best of all, the fit was perfect. We are completely pleased and would recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I am very unhappy with this business. Typically, I do not provide such feedback, but I feel it is important under these circumstances. I took in a pair of men's blue jeans, summer 2014, to repair the zipper for only $10.00. The repair was completed on-time and I left this business very happy. Within 3 months, the zipper broke again. Once again, because I had received good service @ this business before, I had the lady repair the zipper a 2nd time, $12.00. Again, the repair was completed on-time. Last month, the zipper broke a 3rd time and I returned to this business with a concern (were the zippers used to fix my problem defective? Was something wrong? Would I have to pay for a 3rd repair for the same problem?). The same woman (owner? -- I assume so), suddenly changed her attitude and indicated that it was something I must have done to break the zipper again and, yes, I would have to pay, again, for the 3rd time, $14.00 (notice, the same zipper was repaired for $10, then $12, lastly $14). I asked her to be honest with me and let me know if she would prefer not to "TRY" to fix the zipper (trying to be courteous and relieve the tension); She again had a very nasty attitude, raised her voice at me and did all she could to embarrass me in front of another customer that had just walked in. She said she would fix the zipper again and that in the future I needed to be careful zipping/unzipping and that I should try to just pull these jeans down and not use the zipper at all (the other customer became amused). She slammed the jeans down on the counter and wrote me a receipt for my up-front cash (they only take cash; who does that in 2015?) payment and gave me a date to pick them up. When I picked them up, she did not speak except to tell me she knew who I was when I offered an explanation of the item I was picking up. Summary, I have now paid for 3 zippers, received no apology and had to deal with false accusations and embarrassment. As you will certainly understand, I will not return a 4th time and I suggest that if you are in the market for a tailor to evaluate other options. Maybe I should just buy a new pair of jeans (LOL). I am very disappointed in the quality of repair and the bad attitude of the business. Why would a business owner blame the customer for the mistakes made? Did she honestly expect me to pull my pants down and not use the zipper? read more
