Terrible pressing job on my tuxedo

The worst cleaning experience I have ever had! Long story short: I dropped off my expensive tuxedo to get cleaned and after 2 re-dos, over a dozen calls, and now 7 weeks later, I'm left with a terribly pressed jacket and still no pants. 12/2/2021 - I dropped off my tuxedo to get cleaned after someone spilled some margarita on it leaving some dried white sugar stains on the jacket sleeve, front, and a little on the pants. The stains are easy to see against the black fabric and shouldn't be difficult to remove. When I pick up the tux two days later, I pay and don't check the work closely as I've had this tux cleaned at Super Dry twice without any issue. (I only decided to try S&L this time because they had a better rating than my usual cleaner) But as I'm hanging the tux in my car, I can see through the plastic that the white stains on the jacket are still there. It looks as if no cleaning has been done. I bring the tux back and point out the stains. The clerk says they will take care of it. The 2nd time picking up my tux, I inspect the items more closely. I am expecting a satisfactory job given this is a redo but I find that the jacket is horribly over-pressed with wrinkles in several areas and the sugar stain on the pants is still present. At this point, I have lost faith in their ability to properly clean and press my tuxedo. I push for a refund so I can take my tux to my usual cleaner but the clerk working the desk says he cannot give a refund without the approval of the factory and we should send it back again. Reluctantly, I let them try to re-press the jacket and re-clean the pants. The 3rd time picking up my tux, the jacket pressing still looks terrible (see attached pics) and the pants are not there. The clerk says the factory is probably behind and the pants should show up later today or tomorrow. I am suspicious that they have lost or damaged the pants as they have already had 4 days to do the work. I tell him this but he insists this is not the case so I give him the benefit of the doubt. He offers to send back the tux jacket a 4th time for re-pressing but I tell him that I want my pants back and a refund. He says okay and I keep calling every couple of days but still no pants. 12/23 - After many calls (most go unanswered) and 3 weeks after my initial visit, they finally admit to losing my tux pants and offer me a measly $40 compensation. Since my tux is a Hugo Boss (black label) which retails for $800 and I spent $100 on alterations to make it fit perfectly, I cannot accept that. I know new pants will cost $200-300 depending on if there is a sale plus alterations and finding one that matches in color (not all blacks are the same) and weave will be difficult. He finally says they will buy me replacement pants. I give him the brand and waist size and he says he has seen a Hugo Boss store in Southlake. I inform him there's a closer store at NorthPark Mall and he says he'll check there. I agree and ask him to call me back within 2-3 days with what he finds so I can come in and check whether they match my jacket. He never calls so I begin trying to call him and finally I am able to make contact after 4 more days (this is now 4 weeks after my initial visit). He still has not gone to look for replacement pants and says he called someone who used to work in retail that hasn't gotten back to him (I have no idea how this person is supposed to help). I ask him to follow up and make sure to call me back with an update within the next 2-3 days. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't gotten a call. 1/10/2022 - The clerk finally calls me (the first and only time that I have gotten call from the cleaner) and leaves a voicemail stating they have not found my tux pants and to wait 2-3 more days so he can see what they can do. I wait 3 days and call back. The clerk now says they are not willing to replace the pants they lost and says they can give me $50. I explain to him that the amount isn't enough because these are tux pants that have only been worn a few times and are still like new, and replacement will cost $200-300 plus alterations. Tux pants don't have belt loops so must fit exactly. He says he'll speak to the owners again. 1/17/2022 - I drive to S&L cleaners to talk to him face to face and he offers me nothing more. 1-star for repeatedly failing to clean and press my tuxedo properly and losing my pants. I feel like they could have been more proactive in looking for the pants right when they did not show up on time. The man working the store seems friendly and I have been nothing but courteous and patient but it's been too long and I don't have any resolution in sight. I will update my review if I ever get a resolution.

Amazing service and staff. 2 locations one in Plano and another in Richardson. They make sure they can do the job and the price is reasonable. The owner kim seems very dedicated and consistent which I appreciate. Most owners will leave it to less experienced staff or reject a difficult task. They resized a heavy gown within two days. Thanks!

Last time I…read morewalked into their shop, I brought in a garment that needed a simple stitch repair along with a pair of pants which needed the length brought up. I handed the woman my repair alteration before stepping into the fitting room to put the pants on so they could mark them. I fully expected to leave the repair alteration with them for a few days along with the pants, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped back out of the fitting room area because the woman handed me back my garment with the stitch repair completed & did not charge me for it. I've also had more complicated alterations done to a wool coat & trust them with my garments. I also appreciate their follow up to make sure that their tailoring was done to my satisfaction after I've taken them home.

**UPDATE** After…read morethis review posted, Red Carpet Tailor reached out to me which WAS NOT expected! He was so kind and took the time to hear me out. Let me tell you something, A LOT of the time, business owners/managers see reviews and NEVER respond to them. This reach out speaks VOLUMES to the integrity of this business. That means alot to me! The next time I need an alteration, I WILL give Red Carpet Tailor ago! I walked into Red Carpet Tailor on Douglas Monday morning needing a simple side slit extension. The lady behind the counter was very nice. However, I am very shocked at the price tag for this alteration. Literally, extending an already existing slit in a Chef coat by 3" on each side should not cost $50.16! I could understand if I was needing same day service, but I asked to pick it up in 4 days. To add insult to injury, the coat wasn't even steamed for the price paid. Disappointed
