The quality of the sewing was far below standard and my brand new coat looks like it was altered by an amateur. I took my sleeveless dress to get the arm holes a little bigger. They said it will be $22. When I went to pick up my dress, it looked terrible and the area above my breast had a big puffy and lose area. Trying to come up with a solution to fix it, we decided to add a little pick on each side and I had to wait another week. Today when I went to pick up my dress, he said the cost was $45. I told him you had quoted me $22. He said it's another $23 for adding the picks. I told him that first of all he was fixing what he had messed up in the first place and second of all, he didn't tell me that there was going to be an additional charge of $23 for adding two little stitches and I was not going to pay the additional charge. He charged me $22 and after I paid, he took my dress and took the picks out, removed the stitches and gave it back to me. Which means this dress is not useable. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have never seen such rudeness and bad service in my whole life. This place charges way too much for what they do and the quality is not that good and they have terrible service. I will not ever go back to this business and will tell all my friends to avoid going there as well. read more

Amazing service! I bought a wedding dress online about 9 months ago. I had gained some weight since then and the dress no longer fit. I brought it to Long's with some fear of what would be possible as my wedding was 1.5 months away. They took one look at the dress and said all I needed was to bring in some fabric and they could fix it up and have the alterations done by the next week for me to try on again. I came in the following week and it looked amazing and the fit was great! I cannot express the amount of relief I felt trying on the dress and it being able to button up the back. I was also pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the pricing was. I'm sending everyone I know to go to Long's now for anything they need tailored. read more

I walked in, didn't have to wait a long time. I took them a forest green corduroy suit, and they nailed it. It fit in the right places. the suit was ready by the time they promised. The price point was pretty normal, and worth it. To hear "You look good" in a suit that was tailored is the ultimate satisfaction. I will be back. I had several dress shirts that I wanted tapered in to fit me just a little bit better. I took in about five shirts, they measured me up and about four days later, I got my dress shirts back and they fit a little more snuggly! If you can't afford to have shirts custom-made, buying them off the rack and then having them custom fit is the way to go. This was the first time that I had shirts tailored for me and the prices seemed reasonable. I have been going for years and always had a great experience. A couple months ago I had a simple dress hemmed and it cost me $17. Today I went back to pick up a simple cotton dress (no lining) and he charged me almost $50!!! It was more than the cost of the dress. When I questioned him, he told me I could go elsewhere. This place has gone WAY DOWN since Mr. Kim retired. I brought in 7 pairs of jeans, tried them all on for them and EVERY pair came out too long. I brought them back in to be redone along with 2 new pairs of jeans. The redos are still too long (i honestly don't think they touched them) and 1 of the new pairs were untouched. They had no problem taking my money but couldn't be bothered to provide the service. They used to be great, but my advice is to find another place. You will get home and the pants will be 2 inches longer than you asked for them to be. Why have us try them on if you are just going to guess the length anyway!?!? read more

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN A NEGATIVE STAR, I WOULD. I took my wedding dress to be altered (taken in on the sides). After going in twice, it still was not correct. On the third visit, the aline had a pucker on the side and the lace was frayed. When I pointed it out, Mr. Long and his assistance just stared and would not say anything. Finally, I just decided to take my dress and leave. As I was paying, I noticed several burn marks on the lace. I told them about it, and he said, "I did it". Since he had it, how could I have done anything to it? After taking it to another tailor, Unique Tailor, they discovered the pucker was due to a rip in the lace they were trying to hide by sewing it into the seam (this was the frayed section of my dress). The job was done so terribly, that Unique Tailor asked if this was a home job. I told them were I had gone, and they were shocked that it was "professionally" done. I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO GO TO LONG TAILOR! read more
