I recently lost a substantial amount of weight and wanted a few of my suits to be fitted. I hadn't been to a tailor before and I was nervous because you don't know what you are going to pay and if the quality will live up to the price paid. Well I am extremely happy! I had 3 suits taken in. This awesome gray suit I bought 3 years ago. The pants were way too loose on the legs/hip area. The jacket needing work on the chest/arms/waist area as well. I asked if she could do it within 2 days, the tailor said yes! I came back, tried the suit on and wow! It was like a brand new fitted suit. Even the tailor was impresssed! I originally bought the suit on sale for $110. The alterations on the pants were about $20-$25 and the jacket was about $50. Amazing deal to have a perfectly fitted suit. I had so many compliments at the weddings attended about how well my suit fit. The other 2 suits were completed quickly as well and excellent quality. Generally, she is in a great mood and makes you laugh. Even when she is quieter, the work is high quality - fast and to the point. After that awful woman at Hong Kong Tailor screwed up my wedding dress three days before my wedding I made an emergency dash over to Sinh and she fixed my dress overnight and I had complicated alterations. I was in tears when I arrived and she calmed me down and told me she would make me a beautiful bride and to trust her. I did and she did not let me down. I have had better tailors who actually u derstand my needs. These people take the clothing and do what you ask and don't even measure it to you. I expect my tailor to be the expert on the piece I bring in. If I just needed a hook sewn on I would've got my grandma to do it or you tube it. I took it here because I thought you'd be more helpful and explain. What should be done. Besides that's what I'm paying a professional service for. Don't do it! read more

I usually go to Kim A. Tailor in Richardson, but decided to try Sinh Tailor one day just because the location is a little more convenient for me. While the work done was good, the turn-around time was extremely slow compared to what I'm used to (took a week, whereas Kim does same-day every time I go to her). The price was also a few dollars more than what I would have paid at Kim's. Bottom line: If you can make it out to Richardson, go to Kim's! read more

Been going to Sinh for years with suits, pants and sport coat alterations. Usually have the jackets taken in in the back to get the slack out of the waist which seems kind of complicated. She'll do the basics well but anything specific and advanced is spotty. She was very hesitant and negative at some of things I asked for. She takes a long time as well. About two weeks to get slimmed and shortened sleeves and slimmed waist. You can also haggle her down if you think items appropriate. read more

Wowwwww!!! I had read all the reviews for Sinh Tailor and decided to take my new pair of jeans there to be hemmed. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they would be overseas for a month or so. However, a lady inside saw me, asked how many garments I had and what they needed. When I told her one pair of jeans, hemmed, she said "Come on in and wait. I'm leaving tomorrow, but I can fix them now." Sure enough, in about 10 minutes she had them finished perfectly and I was on my way! Talk about customer service! I will definitely be back!!! read more

I love this place. I have taken everything from bridesmaid dresses, to sample sale dresses with broken zippers, to my husbands expensive suits here and Sinh gets it right every single time. At a very fair price. Her turn-around is usually a week. She is quiet and a little hard to understand, but if you try on what you need altered and point out what you want, she'll get it right. If she recommends doing something else in addition to what I asked for, I always let her do that too because she's got a great eye. She did an entire overhaul of my husband's suit that was too large (took in pants at waist and legs, hemmed pants, tailored jacket in the body, and hemmed the arms) and it looks like a brand new custom suit and was only around $80 for all of it. I will continue to trust her with all of our tailoring needs! read more

I recently moved away from the area and one of the things I miss most is my talented Tailor Sinh! I first found Sinh at another tailor shop in West Village then followed her to her own place on Greenville. I am petite so everything I buy off the rack needs to be altered so a good tailor is a necessity. Sinh is the BEST! not only is she the sweetest person you'll ever meet she can do anything. From blazers, to dresses she can tailor anything to perfection! Her prices are very reasonable too. The owner, Sinh, did an amazing quality job on my jeans, pants, and suit. She took care of all requests, including keeping the washed hem of jeans when shorten them. The store was clean, bright and spacious. The price was very affordable also. I did not mind waiting 5 days to get my expensive work clothes altered correctly. Highly recommend this tailor. Btw, in case you didn't know this... Sinh used to be the main tailor at Cho Tailor in West Village a few years ago. If you ever had quality alteration done at Cho Tailor during 2012 time frame, and was happy with the quality of the alteration, chances were your clothes was tailored by Siinh. I was so glad and relieved to be able to track her down to this shop after she left Cho Tailor. It's kinda like your favorite barber left the salon and you happen to find him/her again at another location. If you never had your clothes tailored by Sinh, give it a try. read more
