This is the second time I've come here and felt nickel and dimed, so felt I should write a review. I had a very simple request (to properly sew in a bra pad that was currently upside down). It was almost as if she asked me when I needed it by just to tell me that it would take a week longer than that, and she could only get it done in time if she charged me extra $ - totaling $25. Felt like she was taking advantage... I left and went to Red Carpet Tailor in Lakewood instead - they offered to have it done same day and basically at no charge because it was such a simple request. I had another tailor but they were closed and thank God they were because she is so much better! Pricing is fair and the work done is nice. I can't even tell that it didn't come like that. I'm typically not in a rush to get my items, but she seems very accommodating if you are in a rush. This is now my go to spot when I need anything hemmed or altered. read more

They are great at what they do and very kind. Downside wait time is longer than I'm Used to and I'm used to paying up front. However they are the only Taylor's I've used since I moved to Dallas. So I would definitely recommend them. read more

I took two dresses to be altered for weddings that I was in. The dresses were taken in to perfection and looked amazing. The whole process took only a couple of weeks and the woman was very sweet. THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF! I am so upset. I got a dress hemmed for a wedding. At unique tailor on mockingbird they charge $27 for a bridesmaid dress to be hemmed. I have taken everything here- pants, jeans, dresses, tops, swimsuits, and even an old quilt. Everything comes back in perfect condition. I love having jeans hemmed and faded so you can't even tell they're hemmed. I love this tailor. They are pricey tho... But one thing I've learned in Dallas is your money goes a long way. Prices are outrageous regardless of skill set. I got a basic alteration and the job was done poorly. I could've done a better job by hand at home. I got an inch removed on straps and it cost nearly $30! What's more ridiculous is that she folded the sleeves and sewed it closed, so now my "little black dress" has little black lumps lol. On top of the poor service, her turn around time is 1 week minimum. Save yourself time and money. Take it to Sunshine Cleaners. Their service is good, a third of the cost and turn around time is 48 hours. Thank me later... it's worth the drive. read more

I will never go back to this place. Brought in a dress that cost $70 total. All it needed was a half inch cut off the bottom. Go to pick it up and she charged me $50. Make sure to ask their pricing before leaving your clothes there. read more

I got my wedding clothes altered from her. My wedding clothes are Indian, needless to say it's heavy, really really expensive a lot of reign stones all over the dress. royal tailors did the most amazing job I have ever seen. I had taken one of my dresses to an Indian tailor in Irving and was so disappointed I thought I could never it, which later I took it to royal tailors and she did her magic on that dress. I've had about 20 pieces altered here -- everything from suits to cheap Target dresses. Claudia has always done a great job and her prices are really reasonable. She'll even tell me when she thinks something I've brought in doesn't actually need to be altered which I think is a great testament to her integrity. read more

I took my MuMu bridesmaid dress here to get altered. The alteration process was so quick! I walked in, my dress was pinned, and a week later my dress is PERFECT. I've never had anything altered before so I'm not sure how it's supposed to look but in my opinion the stitching looks great. You can't even tell that I had it taken in. For reference, I had an inch taken off the bottom, the shoulders taken in, and the neckline taken in and it was $68. i called ahead of time to verify if they did the specific work i needed. they confirmed that they did. i drove to the location, brought my items in and was told they would be ready in 16 days. what??? their sign advertised "one day service". when i pointed this out they said no that they did not offer one day aervice because they were too busy. don't make me drive all the way up there if you can't do the work. tell me up front on the phone what the turnaround time really is. read more

I try and do my own hemming and simple things so I can't speak about those prices, but I've had an elastic waistband on a skirt replaced and taken in for $20 and another skirt waist taken in with a zipper replacement for $38 (just some references). Claudia is amazing. I took a sport jacket to her based on good Yelp reviews. It needed to be taken in through the chest and the sleeves needed to be shortened. The work was priced fairly and done well. I've since been taking stuff to her nearly every week now that I'm getting used to stuff fitting better. Several dress shirts, 3 pairs of trousers needing to be tapered, a tux needing to be fitted same day. I highly recommend Royal Tailors. read more

I'm struggling with this review. I was happy because service was quick! I mean it was done in one day which was amazing as I needed my skirt back before my event later that week. I was disappointed however because the hem wasn't taken up enough and when they took in the sides they sewed over the tag which made it uncomfortable to wear and showed underneath. The cost is also what blew me away. Almost $50 for a hem and some light taking in on the waist. It cost more for the alterations than the skirt. That was very upsetting for me. I can't actually wear the skirt now because it is still too big on my waist and the hem is too long. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any of that fixed as I left town.
