Neon used to have a bunch of great reviews...I wonder what happened? No matter--this place is awesome. Neon has done everything from bustling my designer wedding dress (for $25!!!) to rebuilding my hubs' velvet blazers, and everything in between. I haven't used them for jeans (Unique only), but I have used Neon for all of my business and casual clothing. Her prices are right. Her timeline is about a week, no matter how much you bring in at once (but she can accommodate a rush). And, she's not happy until your happy. She typically leaves fabric in when she's tailoring, a smart move if you need adjustments or want to remove the alter later on due to weight gain, etc. I have a friend who had her wedding dress made from an idea here--it turned out beautifully. I look forward to finding that "it" dress in a magazine and showing it to Neon to bring to life! read more

I bought a $250 silk Vince shirt at the store, brought it home, took it here for her to sew the bra gap down. I picked it up from Neon's without looking at it. I put it on a few weeks later to wear out to dinner. That is when I found the collar had multiple scissor cuts on it. When I returned to the shop to show the owner, she told me the shirt had been dry cleaned and it was the cleaners fault. Shirt was only ever in her possession. Cleaners don't run around with scissors, tailors do. I did not appreciate her business ethics. Do not take anything expensive here. Use this place knowing your clothing may be damaged. read more

Service was relatively quick. I had never had anything tailored before but needed my bridesmaids dress taken in and shortened. My only issue was that the alterations, at about $90 cost almost as much as the dress. I didn't shop around though so I'm not sure if that's the standard rate for an alteration like that. There are two stalls where you to change in the shop. And they only take cash. read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! The couple that runs this place is incredibly helpful, honest, and dedicated to great work. I recently brought in 13 different items for them to tailor. (11 pants and 2 dress shirts) All of the items were all too big for me so I needed them tailor fitted. They got all of them done within 1 week and they look INCREDIBLE! Also, they were VERY reasonably priced. On average, I paid about $18 per item. The quality is great, the turnaround time is great, and from now on, I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE to get my clothes tailor fitted! Can't say enough good things about this place and the people that work there, they are simply amazing!... oh and as of next week, Neon Tailor will have been open for 30 years! I understand why they have been around that long. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a tailor in the Dallas area. You will be VERY happy! read more

I was introduced to Neon Tailor by a co-worker when I arrived in Dallas eight years ago and have never gone to another tailor once. Located next to one of my favorite pizza places and an auto parts store the magic is within. Neon can handle the basics to the highly complex requests including making something from an idea. She has tailored my shirts, pants, jackets and suits over the years and I can tell you it makes a difference when you have a great tailor working for you. I always recommend Neon to anyone when they are looking for a tailor and I continue to receive the gratitude once they experienced her skills. The work is of the utmost quality and her prices are more than reasonable. Over the last year I had lost a lot of weight and have visited Neon many (too many) times and she has done a fantastic job on my entire wardrobe so that I wouldn't have to spend the money starting completely from scratch. This business has been around for a very long time! I have been on a tight timeline due to my dress being delayed getting into Dallas. I was worried that my alterations were going to cost a fortune because I'm down a whole dress size from what I originally ordered. I went to Neon Tailor, not only did they have my dress ready in two weeks, everything only cost $205.00. My hems (in which they kept my scalloping), my back, top, bra cups and bustling. The bridal store would have cost me at least 50% more. The best service and they're super quick!! read more

i went in for the first time maybe 2 months ago to have a worn spot on my jeans reinforced. have had this done numerous times before, but the first time having it done here. i explained what i wanted when dropping off and she said she could do it. i picked it up and saw the job when i got home, it wasn't bad, but it wasnt what i was looking for. what was delivered was something more along the lines of what i would do myself if i was trying to repair it. the more i saw it the more it bugged me, so after a couple months i brought it back, along with a pair of jeans that had been reinforced really well. was planning on paying for the second job. explained that i wanted them repaired like the prior tailor had done. she said she couldnt do it, that she didnt have the equipment. guess im a little surprised that a simple sewing machine stitch she doesnt have the equipment for considering that's literally all tailors do. she said take it back to them if i want them done like that, so i did. i also took any future business to them and wont return here. they did a great job on the jean repair, i just need to plan on not dropping off my jeans near my house which is fine. read more

I have NEVER had a bad experience. She can do anything from the simplest alteration to creating a wedding dress. RIP OFF !!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! EXPENSIVE! THEY LIE AND DON'T APOLOGIZE FOR ANY OF THEIR MISTAKES. The first time I came here as a new customer the service was amazing, there was Smiles on their faces , prices with great for the alterations that I need it , roughly $46. Since then I've been here around 3 more times and each time I've been back to them they have charged me anywhere between $20 and $50 more than the last time I was there for the same exact alterations. This time I am paying almost $200 in alterations for one item. The alterations itself cost more than the item that I purchased. They messed up on some alterations and don't apologize but just say ok we'll change the operations for you since you don't like the one you asked for last time. Basically placing the blame back on me like I asked for something wrong when they're the ones that took all the measurements. This place is a big rip off! I am sick of this place and we'll never come back here! I highly recommend not going to neon tailor and shopping around. This is not worth your time or your money! read more
