The owner is elderly, and his been here for decades. Her husband owns a tailor shop on the other side of Central Expressway near SMU, so they really have a walk on this area. You never know whether you are going to speak with a pleasant person, or someone who is irritated and is just ready to retire. She can be extremely rude and short with you, and it is a crapshoot on whether or not she will make the effort to take an alteration that is not just taking up a hemline. This biz is very conveniently located on Greenville Ave which is why I keep trying. Not anymore. She has her fans, but I'm not one of them. Blanca sez find another tailor.

She told me that she can't accept clothes if the computer system is down. That's just a ridiculous response when you run a cleaning business, unless you just don't care. I handed the woman my repair alteration before stepping into the fitting room to put the pants on so they could mark them. I fully expected to leave the repair alteration with them for a few days along with the pants, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped back out of the fitting room area because the woman handed me back my garment with the stitch repair completed & did not charge me for it. I've also had more complicated alterations done to a wool coat & trust them with my garments. I also appreciate their follow up to make sure that their tailoring was done to my satisfaction after I've taken them home.

Meanwhile, another tailor down the block did it for $45. When I expressed surprise at the price, she smacked a ruler on the counter in my face and snapped, "If you can't afford it, ask first. Look at this line!" I completely understand valuing time, and I even apologized to the two customers behind me, but there is no excuse for treating people this way. If you want fair pricing and basic respect, go elsewhere.
