Have been going to Douglas now for about 3 months since I 'fired' my previous cleaners (for not being open when expected on three occassions...not good). The location is a little bit of a drive for me, but not terribly inconvenient, but the quick drive-through/drop-off lane is quite handy. All tickets computerized with your phone number (most have this, just pointing it out) and employees are very efficient and friendly. The prices are a tad steep, especially when presented with that unexpected "oh this is a fancy shirt, we needed to dry clean it vs. laundry...that'll be $3.49 please"...yowzer. I've provided specific instructions going forward that I call the shots with what is laundry and dry cleaning, no matter how elaborate (and some are) my shirts might be. So far so good. read more

I enjoy Douglas Cleaners, because they are located so close to my abode, they are friendly, they are inexpensive and they are fast. However, when it comes to my nicer clothes I can be a little picky. Like most 20 somethings with a tight budget, I go to the cleaners only when totally necessary. I only take the nicest clothes like my cocktail dresses to get dry cleaned. While I understand other customers might take all their clothes to be dry cleaned and that warrants a little more carelessness on their part, because to them it is essentially just tossing around their laundry. Regardless, please don't safety pin my nice dresses to the hanger. I might be at fault here, because I didn't give them specific instructions or emphasize the importance of the garb, but come on...you are a dry cleaner. Your specialty is clothes. Plus, my clothes always smell a little funky afterward. read more

We've used Douglas for a few years and there's Good, Bad and Ugly. First, the Bad: I've had several very expensive shirts and slacks come back with rips or missing buttons. Admittedly most were older articles of clothing. I would be cautious. Also, I'm inept in typical pricing for dry cleaners as my wife spoils me and normally handles it, but $3.60 for dry cleaning a dress shirt seems pricey to me. (FYI: $5.93 dress, $3.60 sweater, $3.09 pants plus tax for all). Is that normal? The Good: the 3 stars are due because the folks are nice and they do the work on location and always have it ready on time. The Ugly: don't go there looking for supermodels, but you will find hard working folks. read more

I have used Douglas Cleaners for 5+ years religiously. They are affordable, convenient, and have always done a good job. Recently, I picked up my white collared shirt and there was a large hole in the front. Apparently there was a spot, and their chemicals burned a hole through the shirt. Mistakes happen. But rather than apologizing and offering to replace the shirt, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, the owners, yelled and acted unprofessionally. They finally agreed to pay for a portion of the shirt, and ripped the old shirt in half! Ha! It was unfortunate that we have to part ways. Businesses make mistakes, but its their customer service during these times that shows the true quality of a business. read more

I took my girlfriends expensive pea coat in to be cleaned. When I can back to pick it up it was completely ruined, when I asked the person at the counter I was told that "it must have came in like that" in a completely rude and unapologetic manner. She then told me that she remembers because she was the one that checked it in(she wasn't). Then I was told that I would have to come back a week later to speak with the manager. The manager told me that it was not their fault and never even apologized. Not only did they not reimburse me for the ruined coat, but would not even refund me the cost of "cleaning" it. My family has been coming to this cleaner for nearly 20 years, over the years the staff has changed and are rude and arrogant. STAY AWAY FEOM DOUGLAS CLEANERS, don't let what happened to me happen to you!!! read more

This is the nearest cleaners to my home and I've consistently experienced great service with my dry cleaning. I'm writing this review because I find that the people working here are so honest and hard working! I recently brought in a pair of slacks I had taken with me on a work trip and forgotten to check my pockets. Always check your pockets before dropping off your cleaning!!! when I went to pick up my clothes over the weekend, the owner had put my $80 cash on the side for me. I had completely forgotten about the money but was so grateful that they were honest enough to return it. Yes, their prices are a little steeper than nearby cleaners, but I'll continue to go here because of the great service. read more

I've been going there for about 20 years. They do a good job, and yes, they charge more for that. Every time I go somewhere else, though, the quality isn't as good, so I'm willing to pay more at Douglas. The only beef I've got is that they break buttons on sleeves - I guess when they're pressing them - and then don't bother replacing them or even letting me know. read more

These are hard working mom and pop owners who do a great job. The clothes are always ready on time, cleaned here in Lake Highlands. The owners are friendly, honest, and always willing to get work with you if you have a special request. I do think you pay a little more, but the clothes a cleaned and pressed better than most cleaners. Also, the corner location is a bit tricky to get in and out of. Give Douglas Cleaners a try, you might just like these hard working folks. By the way they haven't broken a button on the laundered shirts in two years...I know this is really strange. read more

If I could choose a box for zero....I would. This cleaners is in my neighborhood and we didn't like the one we had used so....after my wedding, we took my wedding dress, a pair of men's jeans, and my daughter's short dress. Yes, they have a drive thru carport but it's not really for the customer's comfort...the place used to be a full service gas station so it's made that way. So when I pulled up and asked...they told me it was best if I come in!! When I left my dress, we marked spots and I was quoted $80 for it. I didn't ask for a quote on jeans and short dress, assuming it would be reasonable. When I go back to get them...they charge me $111 !! I had already handed my card to one lady as I began questioning the price. I told her to get the owner but first...she goes and runs my card first for $111. I saw her and I say why are you doing that when I'm disputing the amount?? The owner lady comes out and swears that she told me $90 for the wedding dress. So I say...then the jeans and short dress are nearly $10 each?? The owner says it's my choice not to come back....yes...she said that. They had already ran my card..I knew I was fighting a losing battle. Call me prejudiced if you want but I have NEVER EVER met an Asian person that would admit they were wrong and there are a lot in this area. From now on all things will be in written quotes and I suggest yall do the same bc I am willing to bet you haven't met any either that gave you good customer service when wrong about something. DON'T GO TO DOUGLAS CLEANERS ON AUDELIA. I'll tell everyone who will listen. read more
