I dropped off 3 items to be monogrammed.. the told me it would be done on the Thursday (10 days after drop off).. we had horrible weather on Thursday, so I went to pick my items up as soon as they opened as I was in a time crunch and needed to mail the items to several addresses. I walked in and after the man went to talk to the woman, I could tell the tone was escalated, however they spoke a different language so I'm not certain what was said. The guy came back and told me I had to come back.. they never even did them! How freaking disrespectful of your customers that you could not even reach out in Thursday WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO PICK UP, and inform me of your neglect. My experience here was okay but I won't go back. I was happy they offered to help me because I called a few places that wouldn't. I got medical scrubs monogrammed at another local place that messed up the spelling I wrote down not once but twice. So I needed someone to redo the spelling. They agreed which is why I am giving two stars instead of one. I dropped them off and the guy told me 10 days. It's not super close to my house. I came back 14 days later and he didn't remember me and couldn't find any documentation from them and I left empty handed. He told me he'd call me. He didn't. I called back a few days later and he told me they were in so I went and successfully got them. Instead of taking off the entire stitching and redoing the whole word, they only redid the last few letters and it's not exactly the same font. It really doesn't look that good. I don't know why they didn't just take it all off and redo it all. read more

I've been visiting OK Alterations for my entire life. My mother took my clothes there when I was a child and now that I'm an adult I take my own clothes there. I've never had anything more complicated than needing the length of pants altered but I couldn't imagine taking my clothes anywhere else. Sam (the only person I've ever seen at the counter) always gives me an estimate for pickup and I've learned over the years to call the day before to confirm! On occasion, I've needed something done immediately and Sam has always accommodated my request. It's a great little shop and without realizing it, I've become a customer for life. read more

I've been to this place a million Times and this place has been around since i was a baby. The owners love their customers and try their best to beable to please every one of them. This place has been known for its detailed work in tayloring, monograming, and even custom made clothing. If you have something to fix, need a monogram done, or even need something made, THIS IS THE PLACE! They might have some delay in getting things done but it's worth the wait. I had a pair of slacks that had to be altered and didn't realize i left 200$ in the pocket, when i went to pick it up, Sam put the 200$ in a envelope and gave it back to me saying to be careful on where i place money. I have used this service many times for monogramming. I finally decided I am never going back. I'm constantly disappointed in the quality. My items are never ready at the time he gives me. I wouldn't say they've ever been especially friendly. As far as monogramming goes, they are extremely limited on options. I wish I could use this establishment because they are so close to where I live, but it's not worth risking anymore of my linens, garments etc. read more

I was a longtime customer. I had been going there for 10-15 years (maybe more) and my family went there too. I told all of my friends to go there. Sam, the main guy at the counter had seen me throughout life grow up. I took three pairs of pants and a vintage stole to him for some lining work. I had moved to another city and would stop in to check to see if Sam had finished these items numerous times. If you are a regular, you know that Sam responds to whoever needs something right away. I'm not pushy and I didn't rush him on anything EVER. I witnessed people yelling and being upset with him for being late and I didn't want to be that way to him. He seemed to work hard. I thought he did good work and I usually just wasn't in a hurry, if he was busy. With friends as my witness, I stopped in to check to see if my things were ready many, many times. Each time, he'd say "another week." I was never too put out to wait because I was patient with him, but I kept telling him to call me when they were all done so I could plan to be in town for business and pick them up then. He never called me and never finished those pieces. One pair of pants just needed a special type of button. This was not complex stuff. The clothing was very expensive (two pants brand new) and the stole was a family piece. I went in one day to sort of demand that they be finished up, but in a nice way. And he told me that he sold my pants. All of them. And I guess that he didn't have the heart to "sell off" my family heirloom stole or give it to his employees and their families. He happened to have the stole, because you see, deep inside, he knew he had cheated me on the others. He gave the old stole to me with the work NOT DONE, after so much time. I was livid about the three pants. He didn't offer to replace them and just said he was really sorry. He seemed shaken, but he didn't act to explain it much and didn't act to pay for the things he never repaired and gave away. I was shaken and more than anything, hurt. Sam's staff took my clothing for themselves likely and he was okay with this practice, but embarrassed when called on it. He had taken advantage of my kindness and that through all of the years, I had never been demanding with him about finishing deadlines. I was really hurt by this because I couldn't believe he would do this to a customer that has given him so much business and money through the years. He knew I had come in there many times and the work was not done. He NEVER CALLED ME BEFORE GIVING THEM TO HIS STAFF. All of the good work this company does, does NOT matter when the owners would do this to ONE LONGTIME, DECENT CUSTOMER and not even offer to make it right. I guess I should be happy he didn't sell the stole that he DID NOT finish ---the very easy to do work on. I'm not sure what kind of meltdown or greed went on in this loss of my things, but I'm going to make sure others are aware of the routine there, as I wished I had known about what he and his staff were capable of. He never did anything to replace what his staff decided they wanted to keep after months leading to a year of putting off the work. Witnesses (friends with me in Snider Plaza visiting there) saw me trying to get my things there and knew that he said that the things were NOT READY YET. Customers beware: as nice as Sam seems to be, this happened to me. I can't drive by that place without feeling the betrayal and disbelief that he and his company would do what they did. If you scream and curse and throw tantrums to get your things back (I've seen this there), Sam responds. But if you are kind and try to cut him any slack and work with all of his excuses and delays, he will sell off or give your nicest things to his staff and friends under the description of "I had to donate them."
