We decided to check out Perfect Brunch Bros for a brunch get-together while we were in town - making reservations was easy, as you send an email, and they usually confirm within 24-48 hours! This is a locally-owned and -operated business by 2 Guatemalan brothers, and they offer an extensive menu that includes waffles, pancakes, egg dishes, salads, pastas, and desserts. We ordered: +the French Toast Sampler - opting for the Shortcake, the Banana Brulee, and the Tiramisu +the Guatemalan Breakfast - came with scrambled eggs with tomatoes, onions, fried plantains, black beans, queso fresco, and sour cream, and served with a side of corn tortillas; the plantains, of course, were my favorite! +the Shakshouka - came with 3 poached eggs set in a house tomato sauce with roasted peppers, onions, garlic, and feta cheese, topped with basil; served with garlic bread +the House Chilaquiles - opting for the verde sauce, this came with tortilla chips, house sauce, queso fresco, black beans, sour cream, red onions, rice, and 2 eggs your way; the sauce was actually pretty tasty, and this dish was probably one of the best chilaquiles I've had! +the Fried Chicken & Waffle - a fried leg and thigh, set on top of a Belgian waffle, and served with strawberries and blueberries +the Country Fried Chicken - a fried chicken breast, served with a side of house potatoes, 2 eggs your way, and andouille sausage gravy (in which I opted to be served on the side); definitely not what I was expecting, but pretty much a milanese; the chicken itself was pounded thin and covered in breadcrumbs; it was thin and crispy +the Oxtail Omelette - omelette was filled with braised oxtail meat, covered in an oxtail gravy, and served with a side of house potatoes +and, a Perfect Kids Brunch - came with a chocolate chip pancake, scrambled eggs, and bacon The house potatoes were really good, as they were seasoned well. Service was friendly and attentive! There's a good number of seating, and we enjoyed being seated in more of an intimate area in the back; great for larger groups! Restricted residential and metered street parking can be found in the area. +House Chilaquiles with verde sauce +Country Fried Chicken +house potatoes +friendly service +metered street parking

Great little neighborhood breakfast / brunch spot! The food was delicious and very filling. Staff was pleasant and helpful. This restaurant is bilingual friendly as well. We ordered the steak skillet, a side of French toast and the house omelette.

I went in with no expectations and came out impressed. The menu is surprisingly unique and features a blend of American, Asian, Guatemalan and even Caribbean influenced dishes. We tried the house and capresi omelettes and sampler French toast and all were exceptional. My favorite was the bread pudding french toast. The omelette itself was presented in the French style. Think creamy and rolled up. The cost is on par with a typical brunch and I think it's well worth it for the presentation and quality of the food. The staff are polite and efficient. The restaurant itself is spacious and inviting with colorful string lights. Though the chandeliers seem out of place. Ultimately, this is a great place for families and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I look forward to returning.

Intimate breakfast/brunch spot with a menu full of American and Spanish favorites. I enjoyed the house skirt skillet with chipotle sauce. The service here is great and accommodating.

Wow talk about amazing. Came in on Monday Memorial Day, seated right away. Good service and food came fast! Steak and eggs is really good. Definitely recommend, cozy and many tables.

Perfect Brunch Bros was excellent! We went on a Sunday at about 12:30 pm and there was plenty of seating. The menu is robust and has something for everyone whether you want breakfast or lunch food. For an appetizer we ordered the biscuits and they were warm, buttery, and crumbly. We both ordered the crab cake benedict and it was delicious and was quite large. We got a banana Nutella crepe as a small dessert and it was also super good. The servers were friendly and efficient. They frequently refilled our water and coffee. The restaurant was playing pop music with the music video in the background which I enjoyed. Overall, excellent experience and brunch. Highly recommended.

This place is AWESOME! This neighborhood needed a brunch option and Brunch Bros stepped up. I ordered the steak skillet and it was fantastic. I'm looking forward to trying everything else on the menu! Welcome to the neighborhood!

With a cozy locals vibe, there was a mix of young professionals on laptops and families starting the morning. The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I'm in Chicago again, La Malinche is on my list of must visit spots.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

Service Issues:The service was inattentive throughout the meal, and concerns were not adequately addressed when brought to the staff's attention. Food Quality Issues:The food and cleanliness were equally disappointing. I requested extra crispy bacon in my omelet, but the bacon was undercooked and appeared raw. Both coffee cups also arrived dirty, with dried coffee residue inside, raising concerns about cleanliness and attention to detail. Closing Takeaway:Adding to the frustration, gratuity was automatically included despite the poor service.
