Stumbled in here in the morning after seeing an early bird special. $10 for an omelet and sides! It was fairly empty when I arrived, and they ushered me to a small table by the men's restroom. I should have spoken up, but I was a little cold and starving. Other people were allowed to choose their seats, and as my breakfast went I, I started to regret not speaking up. Otherwise, service was decent. I ordered a vegetarian omelet that came with a side of breakfast potatoes and a choice of pancakes or toast. Sadly no waffles, but I selected pancakes. Big picture, the food was good, not mind-blowing. For $10 I'll take it, especially with the generous portions. I saw that the meal would have been $19 without the early-bird discount. Omelet was ok, kind of watery with the vegetables, and slightly bland. I drowned it in ketchup and hot sauce. The ratio of egg to veggies may have contributed to the watery composition. There was spinach, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms, can't go wrong with that mix. Breakfast potatoes were perfectly crisp from start to finish, and nicely presented. Pancakes were good, fluffy, nice sized. Syrup was a little bland, sticky, but not sweet. I probably could have used a second cup for the nice mass of pancakes. The bathroom thing was tough, every time it opened, it let out a waft of cleaning products. It got progressively busier as my meal went on. My bill had some interesting notes, there was a charge for using a credit card, which isn't unreasonable. I probably missed the signs for that. And the tip suggestion was based on the original price of the dish, not the $10, which is how I figured out how much my meal was originally. No worries, I still tipped more than 20%. If I'm around here again, I might stop in for a waffle.

Great neighborhood place. The chicken and waffles were really good. Since it is a new place , it was packed but the food was great. The severs went above and beyond to make up for the wait. Also, they have great coffee and a nice book by the window, if you're lucky to get it.

I'm such a fan of brunch and I had to come by here to check out their brunch menu and I was thoroughly surprised. I love how their wide array of waffles ranges from savory to sweet. Right now, they have quite the cute menu offerings for the season, like the Grinch pancakes and mimosas. I tried the Dubai chocolate waffle and it was outstanding. I was also really surprised by the omelette. I got the one with smoked salmon and cream cheese in it and it was also full of capers. There was so much smoked salmon in there. I expected little pieces, but there were big chunks. What was also cool was that the chicken and waffles had bacon baked into the waffle - that was pretty awesome. I definitely feel like this is a solid breakfast or brunch spot but they also have lunch offerings and that is what I will explore the next time I go back! Lol

We went to the grand opening of this location and were pleasantly surprised with the range of food. Even though we only stuck to waffles, we had savory & sweet & ever waffle fries which we got a laugh out of. Service was good, we came more around lunch so we were seated immediately. The restaurant has tons of cute artwork and decor that's pretty cheeky, we loved it!

Chicago Waffles where have you been all my life??? We had breakfast at their newest location, 4768 N Lincoln in #Chicago The menu is impressive, there are so many choices, there is definitely something for everyone here. Waffles, pancakes, omelets, skillets, sandwiches, burgers,salads and more! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here it is! Look at the first picture! Look at this plate! Their Waffle Benedict Trio is a true Lumberjack meal. This is both breakfast and lunch combined. The waitress warned me that this was a lot of food and she was right! Great presentation and generosity all in 1 plate! We also had the following: Short Rib Skillet (the meat was nice and tender). Very Berry French Toast, really nice to have some fruit to offset the calories. So many different items to choose from, you could come here for a month and still not repeat. The 4 star rating is because my waffles were burnt. They either pre-made them and re-heated them too much or left them in the waffle maker too long.

I had such a great experience at Chicago Waffles in Lincoln Square--definitely a 5-star spot. The food was really good, everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portions were solid too. On top of that, my waiter was super nice and made the whole experience even better by being friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a really enjoyable visit, and I'd definitely go back again.

I wanted to try out one of the new neighborhood restaurants. I was a little surprised to find so many people there on a holiday morning, but good for the restaurant. The inside seating was a bit more packed and full of chatter than my liking, and I was pleased that the weather allowed for outdoor seating. (The outdoor seating almost doubles their capacity. The server, Vlad, allowed me to pick my table- one in the sun. The menu has a bit of a selection to choose from including fun cocktails. I stuck to the basics - meal that included two eggs (I went with scrambled), breakfast potatoes, maple bacon sausage and two pancakes. Service was quick and I appreciated being given the associated condiments without asking. The eggs and breakfast potatoes were better than many breakfast places. The pancakes were also good. The sausages were okay, both savory and sweet, but not something I prefer. I appreciated the servers working as a team to ask me if I needed anything. I would definitely come back and maybe next time get a fun drink.

I guarantee that you'll find something on their menu you'll like. I ordered their "Waffle Flight" it consists of four separate waffles Red Velvet, Chocolate Green Tea with strawberries, Bananas, Hazelnut Chocolate, Walnuts and Pistachios, Whipped Cream and extra syrup on the side. I didn't care for the Green Waffle, it was sort of bland the rest were good. Also, they serve Julius Meinl Coffee, exceptional and very fresh. I'll be back to try something new.

I've come across ads for this restaurant recently so I was excited to come here. I tried the chicken and waffles as I thought this woul be a specialty of the restaurant. Food was served in a timely manner, presentation was good but the most important part of it was not. Chicken was tough like it had been fried twice. I thought I was eating pork rinds. Mentioned it to the server and he thanked us for the critique. I felt he could have offered a fresh batch of chicken or a discount. Not sure about coming back. At least not for chicken and waffles

This is one of our favorite breakfast/brunch restaurants, Chicago Waffles in Lincoln Square! Yes, Waffle is in their name but brunch is on the menu. They do have extraordinary waffles, and they are hard to resist, especially during your first visit, but beyond that,they have a lot more to offer, such as: Decadent pancakes Succulent steak and eggs Silky lox Versatile omelettes Craveable sandwiches, Salads and delicious drinks, both with and without alcohol. Don't live close to Lincoln Square? Never fear, they have 4 other locations in West Loop, South Loop, Willowbrook and Oak Park. read more

Chicago Waffles is a really cute spot with a great atmosphere. The menu has tons of options, which I liked. Prices are a little high, but the food is definitely solid. I had the casa chilaquiles and they were excellent--lots of pulled pork and really flavorful. My husband got the ham steak and eggs and loved it. The potatoes were honestly the standout. Looking for a nice brunch place during the week? Check out Lincoln Square's Chicago waffles. Obviously, you should get a waffle there. I really enjoyed the sweet and savory combo of the fried chicken and waffles with a blueberry compote. Huge portion! My friend got the Waffle Flight which was a nice sampling of four different types. Never felt rushed by the servers, and we were well attended to. read more

First off $20 for chicken and waffles is too much. I got the short rib and cheddar waffles which has about 5 sprinkles of cheddar and some odd spicy beef that was in no way shape or form short rib. Nice waiter but not at all worth the price especially when it isn't that good read more

We stopped in for Saturday morning brunch. It was a pretty average experience. I had French toast, which was fine but didn't have a lot of flavor. My husband had the basic waffle. Service was friendly. Ambiance was a bit lacking, but you don't go to a place like this for the ambiance. To be fair, nothing was bad but nothing stood out and with so many solid breakfast spots in the area we likely won't be back. read more

I've been here twice, and it's kind of hit or miss. First time was good, second time they were crazy busy, and both service, and food were lacking. The place is nice and the waitstaff do a good job, but, if its busy, the food is a dice-roll. I got chilaquiles that were almost cold, and my wife had thieves rancheros (my phone can't figure out "eggs",en espanol) and they were straight up cold, and with undercooked egg white. Not great. Also, the place can get super loud, so if you want to have a non screaming conversation, good luck I would still recommend this place, but, maybe go somewhere else if its busy. read more

The food was decent. Cute spot kinda classy. They had too many fruit flie flying and we had to keep fanning them away from our food. I was confused when I placed my order. I was looking for a meal that included a side of bacon or sausage. They didn't have that. But if you decided to order a side of bacon for three strips, it was six dollars and 50 Cent almost 7 dollars for three strips of bacon. I was thinking to myself am I just being stupid or cheap because the bacon was 650. I asked the guy do they do senior discounts and military discount discounts he said yeah I think so. Then I said that's cool. I guess I'll take the bacon then when it was time to pay the bill, he decided to tell me oh no we don't do senior discount, but we will do military discount if you guys pay together. Cute spot, great service, good vegan options! I ordered the chilaquiles and quickly learned there are two versions out in the world: crunchy and soggy. I believe the soggy version might be more traditional (lots of flavor!). They have the traditional version with shredded pork. Generous portions and brings some heat! Boyfriend really enjoyed his vegan breakfast wrap. read more

Food and Service was great at this cute little restaurant in Lincoln Square. We ordered the Bacon Waffles with Fried Chicken and the Cinnamon Roll Apple Waffles. Both were a good size portion and were delicious. Ordered a side of Turkey Sausage Patties and they brought four, which was a nice surprise. This might have to be my go to breakfast place when I'm in town. read more

Stopped in on a busy Saturday morning with a group of 6. They were super accommodating - put us moms at the counter and our 3 daughters at their own table, which was a hit with them, of course! Most places wouldn't have tried so hard to seat us - it was so nice. The food was fresh and excellent! My daughter is suuuuper picky and she loved it. I can't wait to come back and try other things - I had a skillet with feta and sausage and broccoli that I couldn't get enough of!!! Julius Meinl coffee to boot! This place was pretty good. Met 2 friends for brunch last Sunday. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. I ordered the healthy skillet w over easy eggs. Pretty tasty with the well seasoned skillet potatoes. Overall a good experience & I'd return for another brunch club visit. And I love the Lincoln Square location with outdoor seating. read more

We arrived at 2:30 after an appt and were told we couldn't be seated bc kitchen was closing. They said we could only do takeout. But closing time posted on their door and online is 3pm. We knew what we wanted and would've been fast but they turned us away. I've worked in many restaurants and we seat people until the posted close time. SUGGESTION: update your closing time to earlier if you won't honor the one posted. read more

Wow! I had the red velvet waffle and I was truly blown away. Delicious, fresh, topped with a generous amount of strawberries. Truly hit the sweet-tooth for breakfast. The server was very kind! And the atmosphere felt very cool, definitely a spot I'd go for a date or to catch up with a friend. Will return soon! read more

I should have paid more attention when being seated, but ended up next to the door that I thought was storage as I saw one of the waitstaff go in and return with a booster seat. I Was Wrong as while it was a storage area for extra chairs and booster seats, it was also the entrance to the mens restroom which as soon as our food was delivered became a constant flow of traffic. The food was mediocre at best. The food that was delivered was not what we ordered. My order of chicken tenders, eggs over hard, & pancakes ended up being served with an english muffin instead of the pancakes. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery. The potatoes that came with the meal were mostly overcooked and in the case of several of the 'nuggets' were burnt. Overall, coupled with being extremely loud, mixed up orders, seated next to the mens room, poorly cooked food, and very pricey for what you get, a very poor experience. On a positive note, the coffee was very good. With gratuity, this was a $45 'breakfast'! I doubt the restaurant will make the cut for very long after the newness wears off. There are too many other great places nearby. My wife and I Do Not Recommend this place and will not be returning! read more

Fantastic waffles! Really excited to have another good breakfast spot in our neighborhood. Warm atmosphere, really great service, and delicious signature waffles. But beware--our side of scrambled eggs was made with "liquid eggs" from a carton--not even worthy of a college dining hall service. I really hope the managers/owners will reconsider this penny-wise, pound-foolish choice. In the meantime, stick with the amazing waffles! read more

Went out for brunch with my daughter on Sunday and had a great experience. I ordered the lemon blueberry cheesecake waffle, and my daughter ordered the cinnamon waffle, both were excellent. Everyone was friendly which is so important. Even if I love the food or product somewhere if the employees are mean, I won't go back but that wasn't the case. Everyone was really nice, so refreshing in a neighborhood where there can be very snotty owners. We will be back! read more

There is a small section on the menu for food: chips/salsa, Chile con queso, guacamole, Heartbreaker Burger (Chorizo Smash Patty, Grilled Onion, Cilantro, Chile Con Queso, Pickled Jalapeno, Shredded Lettuce, Jalapeno Ranch, Sesame Seed Bun) and Truck Stop Nachos. I got the Truck Stop Nachos (Black Beans, Queso, Pickled Red Onions, Pickled Peppers, Tomato, Crema). You have the option to add Picadillo Beef, Chorizo, or Carne Asada as protein. But you also have the option to have it vegan. I went with steak. Overall this was a nice snack but would have liked a little more steak added to it. I am not sure if you can order from the menu of Lonesome Rose, but the next time we go, I will ask about that. This was my boyfriend's time going and I haven't been here in 4 years. LOTS has changed. First We ordered the Hawaiian bulgogi and the brisket. The brisket was amazing. The bulgogi was a bit too sweet. The grill gets burnt up very fast. I don't remember the grills going bad that quickly years ago. Our server was nice but slow, the grill needed to be changed out frequently due to the bulgogi. They don't give you any oil either. Only thing I didn't like was the lettuce it tasted funny and old. Overall nice place but it's a bit dated, they need to upgrade the design and functionality of it asap.

I wish they had the hosed exhaust fans that sit closer to the cooking table like in Korea, as the place would've felt way less smoky and gross. I get that the smells and oils make it harder to "feel" clean but... I've been in some well ventilated and pristine K BBQ spots, so there's really no excuse. I guess ultimately this is a case of you get what you pay for. Now I know. Just be informed before you go in- set your expectations. If you want to close your eyes, ignore the bbq glaze your feet are slipping on, and chow the F down on some good but not great meat, hit up Iron Age!

She sat us down, brought 1 menu ( we were 2) and said she'd be back with the other ( and we are still waiting ) her phone was more important so she never gave us a second menu. The waitress talked like she didn't have a voice ( SO hard to even understand what she was saying) Food overall was good ( nothing to die for) Ceviches were delicious at least. Ambience good although when we got there there was only 1 more table, but I guess it gets better when it gets busier. Overall a good place, but there are other great Peruvian places in the city to try before coming back here
