During the Covid-19 virus outbreak, they were offering family style meals for Mother's Day. We tried the lobster rolls (x4) with homemade chips, coleslaw and an assortment of desserts. The meal was outstanding. Lobster rolls were perfectly seasoned with just right amount of mayo and lettuce on a tasty toasted brioche bun. Somehow bun did not get soggy. Homemade chips were great and my wife loved the cole slaw. The dessert assortment was awesome with a super rich and delicious flourless chocolate cake being the highlight. And a nice red rose was included for mom. Nice touch. I highly recommend Pepps and will definitely be back. My son loves the pizza here. He called in an order for me to pick up. $75 for 2 pizzas (1 extra cheese & 1 two topping) A Greek salad w/steak tips($17), a chicken finger and chicken quesadillas. Pizzas were cold. Once reheated they were good. Steak tips tasted very good along with the salad. Chicken fingers were good. The quesadilla was gross. Smelled like a chicken salad sandwich. Chunks of white chicken with no flavor, that were watery and. refrigerator cold. Barely any cheese on it. If you're going to charge big money make sure you deliver with good food! read more

Saw on Phantom Gourmet and realizing was close by, decided to give it a try. I have to say our experience was better than expected. Booth we sat in could have used more padding maybe but that was my only real complaint. We were just thinking simple buffalo wings, cheese pizza, and cold beers. That is what we had and was it was all excellent!! The Buffalo style wings we ordered well done were.......Crispy! The large NY Brooklyn style cheese pizza we were hoping for was excellent, and it was exactly what we were looking for! Draft beers were very cold. Mixed drinks had cool take home xmas cups. Fries with both meals were cold and the mozzarella stick tasted and looked like there were bought at Shaw's. I think there is a few things on the menu that they make in house. Stopped in to try this place. Aside from the postage stamp-sized parking lot, and the fact that it is more a sports bar atmosphere than a restaurant/bar, I was impressed. Our service wasn't bad, although I think we were halfway through our meal at shift change. Not withstanding, everything came out in a timely fashion. We started with the chili. I usually base my opinion of the food on the starters, but this chili kinda sucked. With more jalapeños than meat, it was more like over spiced chili soup. Decent flavor, but lacking any substance. We also got the fried pickles. Tough to screw up, these were pretty generous and done perfectly. Could have gone a little lighter on the "Cajun" spice dust. Then our pizza came! We ordered a pepperoni Sicilian. I have found a local place that does a super job on a Sicilian pizza! The crust wasn't too doughy, it was cooked perfectly. There was not an excess of the sauce, which was a really good sauce. And there wasn't massive gobs of cheap cheese on it. Big, thinly sliced deli-style pepperoni was the crowning touch on a memory-invoking pie. Because the food was very good and the service was adequate, I was able to tolerate the hoots and hollers of the sports fans encroaching on my dining experience. I don't understand why grown adults yell at TVs because someone is playing a game that has NO effect on their lives, but whatever. This place is fairly new to the area, but so far I've already been twice. I was excited to see that they offer both whole wheat pizza and gluten free pizza, since I try to eat whole wheat whenever possible and my coworker only eats gluten free food. This place seemed like a perfect compromise for everyone! The interior looks pretty much the same as it did when it was a BBQ joint (which I was upset to see close), except now everything is bright green. A bit tacky, but that's alright for a pizza joint. Neither of the servers I've had there were particularly cheerful. The first time I went and ordered a whole wheat individual sized pizza, it was delivered to me as ordered with no issues. However, on my second visit, the waitress informed me that they don't do whole wheat for the individual sized pizzas because the whole wheat dough is more expensive. That didn't make much sense to me, since they offer the large in whole wheat at no additional cost. You would think proportionally it should be no different cost-wise to offer the individual pizzas in whole wheat. I gave her a raised eyebrow and told her that I had ordered the same pizza last time with no issues. She begrudgingly checked with the kitchen and came back and told me they'd do it but that it's not usually an option. That's a bit annoying, considering I'd even be willing to pay a bit extra for whole wheat. My coworker ordered the gluten free pizza with chicken on top. The pizza was delivered to him, and he sat there in disbelief because THE CHICKEN WAS BREADED. No one thought it was important to point out to him that the chicken going on top of his gluten free pizza was breaded. We couldn't believe it. We pointed it out to the waitress, who replied with "I don't know what a gluten is." You'd think they'd educate their servers about gluten, considering they serve gluten free pizza. She did take the entire pizza off of the check though, so that was good at least. I'll probably still return, since my pizza was delicious both times, but I really hope they pull their act together better. read more

I was really torn between 2 and 3 stars. On one hand, there's the incredible menu with all of it's delicious choices! (Steak tips- try them!). On the other, there's the mediocre at best service. Plus side: Menu Huge menu, so many choices!!! The variety of pizzas, sandwiches, and other entrees was overwhelming. Nice kids menu, too. Minus: Service We were seated quickly (it was a pretty quiet night), and attended to quickly. But after that, it was like pulling teeth to get our server over to us. When we asked a couple of questions about items on the menu, the server acted as though we were really putting him out, and then didn't know the answers. When we wanted to get going, I finally flagged down a different server to get our check, as the kiddos were getting antsy, and 15+ minutes was FAR too long to have to wait for a check. Total: 2.5, but I'll round up, for the food. I'd like to go back here again, hopefully with a better server experience. read more

When I asked what the Sam seasonal was, the waitress pointed to the drink list (which said "Sam Seasonal") and didn't offer any additional information on which seasonal was on tap. A few beer choices, I believe it has 8 taps, the majority start with either Budweiser or Miller. There's worse places to go. The food is decent, there's a pool table and jukebox. Large bar. The food is good. Good pub menu. Lots of comfort food. Price is reasonable. Parking is ok. It gets tight. You can get whole wheat pizza crusts too. We were there on Friday in the early winter and it felt like my dad was manning the heat. That means, nothing over 62. I sat in the front area with a coat on and was freezing. It doesn't help that the front door lets in the cold but other restaurants deal with it. We actually had to leave early because we were so cold. Which is too bad because they have a good drink menu but some of us were shivering. I've been there before to play pool and I remember it being cold then too. The place is fine in the summertime. I came here last night to meet some old work buddies. I was the first one there so I dropped chips at the bar and settled in. Sam Summer and KENO to start things off right. Definitely had a local vibe going on. Everyone seemed to know each other. Service was great. I never had to ask for another beer and my huge KENO winnings were cashed in right away. For an app we ordered some fried pickles which rocked. As the night went on we all split a large steak bomb pizza. It was pretty good, not bad but not spectacular either. If I worked nearby I could see this as a good spot to grab an after work beer. read more

Definitely more of a locals place. Great prices and deals as well as friendly staff (not overly friendly but definitely doing a good job). I had a mixed drink that was a special on the menu and asked the waitress what she thought before ordering and she recommended. It was delicious! I've admittedly only been here twice... Both times during lunch, but both times were fantastic. On my first visit in, I tried the pasta & meatballs which were tasty. The sauce was a bit watery, but the meatballs were were tender and flavorful, and it was a generous lunch portion. My second visit I tried the steak tips. Again, fantastic. The shoestring fries were piping hot and the seasoning on the steak was great. Both times I was in and out within 30 mins, I sat at the bar and service was friendly. It was lunch during work, so I went with water (though now they have Yuengling on tap, so my mid-day work lunch may include a beer from time to time). They give you fresh from the oven bread when you walk in ( which I paired with a side of their pizza sauce for dipping) and it makes me curious to try their pizza. Maybe service is different at night? Maybe the food lacks at night? But for a fast, filling lunch for under $10 (I spend more than that at Five Guys and it's not half as satisfying) especially in an area surrounded only by fast food joints, this place is my new go-to when I'm in the area. read more

My wife and I went here to give them a 3rd chancer after having 2 previous terrible experiences. In one word it's "service". I cannot beleive the attitude and behavior of the servers especially on this last visit. The second experience included dealing with a "manager" who clearly did not care that his waitstaff was unprofessional and rude when sending me to the bar for a phone order then to the front counter then back to the bar. They were a mess. But on to the final straw.. On the last visit we were enjoying a nice night of trvia sprinkled with momments of a waitress ( who never said her name) coming back acting like we ruined her day for being there. In one interaction my wife asked for a drink and she didnt respond and instead asked me if i wanted anything, my wife then asked for her drink and she said "i know i heard you". But the final straw was when we left no tip and she actually followed us saying "hey no tip?" to which I said "thats just how it worked out tonight" however this was not enough and she followed us to the door. She never asked it was the service. 3 strikes and your out. Food not good enough to overlook the horrible rude wait staff. read more

My Friday night go to place! Vince has done a great job keeping this place going during all this Covid crap. They come up with themes for outdoor dining each week. The drink specials, the waitstaff dressing up, sometimes music outside, he has done a great job! He donated food to schools and other businesses. Did a stellar job with Mothers' Day takeout. Besides all that, the food is really good. A great selection of different kinds of pizzas sandwiches to full dinner meals. The staff is alway happy to serve. I have only been here once, but my experience was not pleasant. When they brought our food they told us my sisters would be right out. We started eating. Time went by. Pretty soon my parents were almost done with their food when we asked the waiter about it and they said they forgot it. That entire time she had to wait because they forgot to make it. Then we had to wait even longer for her food to come out. When it did it was not very good. My food was also not very good. I barely ate any of it. I've been in many times, and have never been let down. The bar and the dining area are separated by a wall, which is nice when you don't want to be in view of a bar. There is always a TV in view with all types of sports on, and the staff have no issue changing it to a game you would like to see. The host staff have always been polite and not overbearing asking if you need anything, they always seem to know the perfect timing. The bar staff have great service and always seem to want to get to know their patrons. I've had many different items from the menu both dine in and take out, and I have never been disappointed in the way the food is cooked. Keno, lottery machine, and jukebox are available. The owner even helps serve and will make sure everything is to his high standards, which I am still amazed at. Pepperoncini's pizza is by far the best pizza around here. read more

LAST STRAW!! Service really is awful.. to the point where it is comical. Once i went to the bar there with a friend, we had pizza.. but the service was awful, bordering on rude.. one bartender was complaining about another whom was taking time during the day to go tanning.. whatever.. keep your cat fights to yourselves... but please notice customers with empty glasses in front of them while you're pulling your 'diva crap'.. After about 10 minutes, i asked for the check, paid and went somewhere else for lunch.. Today was the kicker.. I figured that because the service was so bad.. that I'd order by phone and pick up my order.. It was obvious the woman who took the order didn't want to be bothered.. Siiiiigh... When i got there, nobody was out front, so i went to the bar area.. Bartender, (not same diva as before, but a younger-cuter version) was busy chatting with a customer.. while i stood nearby.. waiting for acknowledgement.. honestly, i was thinking about just leaving then.. let them eat the frikkin' pizza.. then.. I get her attention, i tell her that I'm picking up a 'phone order'.. she directs me to the front counter.. i tell her that nobody is there.. she says 'there will be'.. so i stand at the front counter.. about half a minute.. then (with attitude) she 'stomps' to the counter herself, runs my card and hands me my order.. and gives the girl who is supposed to be working the front counter (who was training a new server) a 'look' I even thanked her.. Then, the girl who works the front to ld me that i had to pick up orders in the front.. as in.. 'don't get me in trouble with the diva bartender'.. i shrugged and said.. jeez.. nobody was there when i walked in.. As i'm leaving.. i hear the girl who is working the front say to the girl she's training.. 'I hate it when people are like that'.. I lost it.. I turned around put the order back on the counter and demanded my money back.. She insisted i take my order, because she could not refund the credit card.. I suggested she give me the cash from the drawer.. The bartender then came over and refunded my card.. To their credit. I've never gotten bad food there though.. read more
