My family and I ordered a large buffalo chicken calzone with bacon and onions. I asked for extra buffalo sauce and blue cheese on the side. The buffalo sauce was hot but not too hot, and the blue cheese was deliciously chunky. We also ordered their chicken salad sub, which was decadent. I highly recommend it! I've heard of broasted chicken and have always wanted to try it. Primo offers a meal of 3 pieces of broasted chicken and 2 sides. I ordered the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. The mashed potatoes were great. I'd order double next time. Sadly, I had forgotten I've had the mac & cheese before and hated it but OF COURSE I ordered it again...mom brain. It's this awful velveeta-like texture cheese that's spicy and not creamy whatsoever. The spice to it is super odd and, in my opinion, nasty. It doesn't stick to the macaroni and it's just too "out there" for my tastes. The CHICKEN on the other hand was delicious. It was tender and juicy. I received two thighs and a drum stick, I believe (or the other way around). I'd definitely get takeout again from Primo. read more

I've been having lunch here several days a week for years and I have had nothing but great food and outstanding service. The owner is their every day cooking and waiting on customers. But the greatest assets to Primo Pizza is the help up front at the registers. They are always juggling phone calls, walk-in customers, and countless to-go orders. And, at the top of that list is Kirsten. She has been working here since I've been coming in, and she has always been friendly, accommodating, and always accurate with what I order...even when I am the one who is not sure what I want. The owner sent me a message asking me to remove a review as it was under new management. Sorry friend, I have visited since it was under new management. I got a mediocre roast beef sub, with overdone roast beef. This is not the reason for the bad review. It was about 8pm and I sensed irritation and and urgency. As the man handed me the sub they clapped their hands and said "let's get out of here". I felt it to be obnoxious. But, it is about the food, so I will give it another shot and revise this. Update: My wife asked we give this place one more try. We ordered pizza, and the box it came in would have tasted better. usually when you take over a place you at least maintain quality. Of all the local available "deli/pizzarias" in the town of Bellingham MA, this would be my favorite. The pizza are pretty spot on, if you want a fresh local flavor, with plenty of toppings. I actually enjoy the crust from here, it's not over the top in flavor like Domino's garlic oil crusts, but it's enjoyable. My advice would always to get the pizza well down, with so much toppings and the size of the pizza, sometimes it will come out "droopy" if you don't ask for it well done. The calzone are 'alright', they're not bad, but nothing to remember about. In my opinion it lacks sauce, they were somewhat dry, nothing extra marinara sauce can't fix. The subs are good, though can get pretty expensive if you want extra toppings. Buiding your own Italian BMT with double meat can cost you a pretty penny. Pasta here are my favorite. I haven't found another take out place in the area for pasta that I like more than here. Greatly seasoned, with a gracious serving. Also, most places will just give you a loaf of broad with butter, this place give you garlic bread which I think is a winner. Chicken wings are interesting. For most of the options, they are pretty saucey, it can be hit or miss based on your preference. They don't have normal "buffalo" wings, the mild and hot wings are more like a dry rub, fried once, and tossed in a seasoned hot oil. Good size on the wings, pretty meaty. If you're going to make an account, a thing to note about the $10 rewards program, once you hit a 100 points the coupon comes into effect on it's own, it's not something you can hold onto and save for whenever. read more

NO MASKS WORN BY THE WORKERS!!! Look elsewhere for subs and pizza. It's close to my place of work, so it's a popular pick, but after several disappointing lunch outings I just can't do it anymore. The subs are made poorly (my buffalo chicken wrap came with nothing other than chicken) and the pizza is bland and generic. Better off driving the extra 15 minutes to Millis house of Pizza. There are several reviews here that were submitted before the current ownership. Primo is fantastic. They make the best Italian sub around, with no banana peppers. Pizza is solid Greek pizza. Tried giving it a chance despite the reviews. Big mistake.1) My food was delivered cold. 2)the small everything pizza tasted like it came from the frozen section of the supermarket. Ordered for the first time, and the last tonight. Took over an hour to be delivered. The chicken fingers (more like over sized nuggets) were half the size of chicken fingers from other places in the area. They were over cooked and very dry. You can't even get dipping sauce without paying extra (really? Since when don't chicken fingers come with dipping sauce????) The steak and cheese was cold and had hardly any cheese on it even though I ordered and paid for extra cheese. This was a horrible experience and the food was terrible. We go to this place at least once a week. The service is spot on and the guys behind the counter are extremely helpful and courteous. The subs are delicious and full of meat. Can't say that about other local places. The calzones are a must try. We have also tried their pizzas and in my option the veggie pizza is by far the best around. This place is in Bellingham but living in Franklin it's very much around the corner. Their food is great and people working there on location are super nice, but I gave it 3 stars due to everyone I order delivery the always forget something last time was a soda and before that my sons sub. So I had to wait for them to come back and wait so we can all eat together then our good got cold. Then go downstairs twice from a fourth floor it gets annoying. read more

The food was pretty good, but not worth the attitude. More like the service could be better. I ordered a calzone and they sent me a completely different one. When I called back to complain, the man on the line said next time he would give me $3 off. When I reasoned with him that I wanted the calzone I ordered (one with meat, while this one was meatless and added an ingredient I did not ask for), he said his restaurant was too busy. Finally, he agreed to send me one but I would have to trade the pizza back. I had no issue giving the pizza back, but after spending $50 on four items and being a fairly new customer, I felt as if I was being thought of as a swindler. I have ordered from this place twice before, and now this time will probably be my last. I have worked in customer service and you just don't dismiss a customer like that. If I had reviewed this place 6 months ago, I would have given it 5 stars. However, their food has gone steadily downhill since they opened. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and hot wings one night. The pizza was ok, a little greasier than previous pizzas (each time I order pizza there's a little more grease on it than last time and a little less cheese...), but the hot wings just sucked. I didn't look at them before I got home and that was a mistake. They were just fried chicken wings. No sauce. What self-respecting pizza place makes hot wings with no sauce?? I called because I thought my order was wrong and they informed me that their wings don't actually have sauce on them, they're just breaded in a spiced mixture (and they buy them frozen according to the woman on the phone, I wonder if she still works there??) One thing that hasn't changed is the grinders. They've always been horrible and they remain that way. I honestly don't know how you screw up a sandwich, but Primos managed to do it. Maybe it's the incredibly pungent and abundant onions or the head of lettuce they shred up and put on it to disguise the fact that there's no meat. They don't toast their regular grinders, so the bread is kind of funky and undercooked tasting, the meat is room-temperature and everything else is ice cold. It's a very strange combination. However, if you like your sandwiches on the nasty side, you can get a card that they punch with every order (NOT with every sandwich) and eventually you'll earn a free sub. read more

The pizza is devastating to your arteries. I gain 5 pounds driving by the place. It is SO GOOD, though. It's typical New England style pizza, but they load it completely full of toppings. The meat lovers is ridiculous. There's meat on top of the cheese, there's meat in the cheese, there's meat under the cheese, meat in the sauce...I think once modern science creates a way to make a meat pizza crust, they'll be all over it. I can't honestly say I got to try the food. I ordered a large pizza, got charged for a large pizza and they delivered the wrong pizza. I called them up and the manager insisted I was charged for a small even though it showed the large price on the receipt. I told him it was the wrong size and everything, and his reply was "I'll send you another small pizza but you will be charged for it." Bottom Line: Don't order delivery from this place.
