Food was fine, we were just look for something quick and simple to eat after driving for 6 hours that was close to our AirBnb. When I arrived to get my online order, they didn't hand me the desserts at first. And then when they did, pointing to the receipt on the bag so they'd know exactly what we ordered, I didn't notice they gave me a chocolate cake instead of PB chocolate pie. My husband just ate the chocolate cake instead, because we were too tired to go back. But it was still a bummer. Just feels like a lack of attention to detail. The chicken fingers are the absolute best ever!! They're also massive so a 4 piece feels more like 6. The homemade honey mustard is amazing as well. Subs are good too but pizza is pretty mediocre, so I stick to everything else typically. I've ordered from this place before but gravely disappointed at how the quality of food went down. I ordered a chicken parmigiana sub and requested extra sauce on the side. We live 30 minutes away and my husband picked this up on his way home for work. I opened the bag to discover what appears to be chicken fingers tossed on sub bread with no sauce at all on it and a melted piece of cheese on the bread. Horrible example of a chicken parmigiana sub! This is a nothing up my sleeve review. As always this is my opinion your experience may vary if youre lucky. This place is a DUMP! In fact calling this place a DUMP is an insult to all dumps, dives and holes in the wall. They have a huge sign outside, pizza by the slice, 7 days a week, but I guess whoever commissioned the sign or is in charge of the kitchen cant read or doesnt understand the concept 7 days per week because on this visit there were no slices to be had. Also once I walked in I had an immediate feeling of being unclean. Dark, dingy, old, uninviting would all be adjectives to describe my initial impression. 1313 Mockingbird Lane had a homelier and more welcoming feeling than this place. Never again. I called and ordered a cheese quesadilla. I was confused when it arrived with bacon and tomatoes. I called back and spoke to the owner. He is one of the rudest, most defensive people I have ever met, and I literally work with sociopaths. This man scolded me like a small child and told me I'm an idiot for not knowing their cheese quesadilla comes with bacon and tomato. He used his KEVIN voice to tell me I'm an idiot for my mistake because "cheese pizza comes with sauce not just cheese." He then told me I had to come to the restaurant for him to make me a new quesadilla. I opted for option 2, which was me returning that monstrosity and getting my money back. The "owner" hasn't been doing a good job at running this place. It's been going downhill for the last year or so. Every time we order SOMETHING gets screwed up. They don't have most of the things on the menu-- something the owner told me he wrote himself... TEN YEARS AGO. Time for an update, and sir, your menu is messy; you couldn't be bothered to spell out some of the words and used abbreviations instead. You sure know how to declass your place of business. So to the employees: I know you all try, most of the time, and that's appreciated. I'm sorry your boss is who he is. And sir, your customer service skills are subpar. This review is based on my first visit, service, food quality and value. I received a welcome letter from Hide-A-Way Pizza with a $10 coupon, so I took advantage. Called on a Thursday evening and ordered two small pizzas and 16 bone-in wings for pick up. The lady that took my order was friendly and helpful with my questions. Arrived at the restaurant 35 minutes later and my order was ready. The place was busy with other pick up customers and phone was constantly busy with orders. The wings were tossed in hot sauce, slightly crispy and no batter which is how bone-in wings should be prepared. One pizza was cheese, sausage and garlic. The other was White pizza with grilled chicken. Both were very good. Ingredients tasted fresh and pizza dough was not frozen. read more

Last time we went here we waited an hour before leaving to pick it up, got there and were told by lady #1 that it just got put in the oven and would be another 10 minutes, waited 10 minutes and came back and was completely ignored at the counter by lady #1 so I sat down, then lady #2 working the counter called me up and told me it was never put in the oven. Meanwhile lady #1 is talking politics that she clearly doesn't understand to customers. Ended up waiting nearly 2 hours for 1 calzone and lied to about it while listening to political propaganda. Tried the thin crust pizza and it was actually inedible. There was too much sauce and too much cheese for a thin crust. The pizza was soggy and the crust had a taste of old pan oil. I hadn't been to this restaurant in a long time and sadly I was reminded why. The wait times given are astronomical and the young girl who was working the counter was extremely rude and not friendly at all. I was told a wait time of 40 mins and I walked in a few minutes prior to the 40 I was quoted. The girl at the counter barely spoke any words to me including letting me know how much longer I might be waiting after she cashed me out. Once I finally asked after about 10 mins, I was told that one of my pizzas was coming out of the oven and the other would then be going in. Naturally I said, so my one pizza will be sitting while the other is just going in the oven now! I would now be waiting at least another 10 to 15 and again the rude young lady behind the counter didn't see what the problem was and made that clear. I asked for my money back and left without being offered any apology or otherwise. I will never be back and you may want to consider hiring people who don't treat your customers like garbage, especially if you expect them to wait an hr for 2 pizzas! read more

My family and I would order from here all the time. We discontinued ordering because if a delivery would be over an hour and the food would always arrive cold. We stopped for over a year. We recently tried it again. Guess what? Wrong order & food was cold. The young lady that took the phone call regarding the wrong order rectify the situation and had another pizza delivered to the house. Tonight We ordered again. One of the orders salad with grilled chicken was the most vial salad. The lettuce was wilted the cucumber was wilted/old/soggy . I counted seven small cubes of chicken. There were more croutons then lettuce. The seven tiny pieces of cubed chicken the size of croutons was ice cold. The order also took one hour and 20 minutes to arrive. We give up.... Low quality & long delivery for inferior cold food. It was during the week and not even on Friday or Saturday or Sunday. This place needs new ownership or new management. There are other pizza shops around that do much better job. It's my own fault for thinking that may be the hideaway went back to the original quality that we knew and loved. read more

Ok this place has been hit or miss for me over the years but when it's great it's so f@cking great. Hands down best honey mustard I've ever had it's definitely home-made. I've only had pizza and calzones from here the calzones are normally cooked really dark and well done but not burned. Pizzas are excellent on the good days and just ok on the other days. I really wish I always had an amazing experience here but I think it comes down to the cooks and I don't visit enough to know for sure. read more

We ordered the people's choice pizza and the white pizza with broccoli. The people's choice was amazing and we would totally order again. However, the white pizza was absolutely disgusting. The staff are so friendly too and I like that there is an order online option as well. It works for me when I am at work that I am able to put in an order and it's ready for pick up once I get there. Food is good but slow on the time for pick up. Easy to order online but - they don't give a time - so you have to call anyway. Often the time they offer is off and you end up waiting there. Their chicken fingers and bites are homemade and delicious. The only other issues tend to be that they always seem to get 1 or 2 small parts of the order wrong - so always check before you leave. Wrong dressings, forgotten fries, wrong sides, wouldn't mind so much but they charge you for any changes or add ons and often those are what's forgotten and you paid extra for them... despite the lack of take out struggles - the food is good so we put up with the little inconveniences. read more

I saw this place on Yelp as an ad. Glad I checked I out! Pizza (pepperoni) was really good. Great sauce. The boneless buffalo wings were awesome. Big pieces of white meat. Not frozen crap. We got mild bc my husband is a wimp with too much spice but I'd love to try the hot! Salad was ok. Wish they had a bit more lettuce in it but it was fresh. Can't wait to try the chicken tenders and honey mustard sauce next time. The pics of those look so yummy. They were also very personable and nice which is always good!! Went back for round two. Ah-maz-ing chicken fingers. It's their own in house recipe, along with the honey mustard. It's so good. The batter is just perfect, and flakey, and has just enough spice. Imagine KFC spices, but better. Oh so much better. The chicken fingers are HUGE, as you can tell from my picture, and for 8$, you're going to have a great meal, and left overs. I placed an online order and called to apply a $10 gift certificate sent in the mail. Was told it was for dine in or takeout only. In light of what we are going through with COVID-19 and new positive cases right here in town, we are staying home (we legally CAN'T dine in either).
