Must have caught this place on an off night considering they have 4+ rating here and I did not get 4+ food. It was takeout, so I always take that to consideration but I can't imagine that this pizza would have been mind blowing even if it was right out of the oven. The pizza itself was cooked perfectly but the crust reminded me of Celeste frozen pizza. When you lift your slice the dough doesn't fold because it's stiff like cardboard. The cheese was chewy and greasy, and the sauce had no flavor. The wings were ok but they were slightly overdone and a little greasy too. I will give them another try someday as everyone there was helpful and friendly. It seems like the dine-in reviews are a little higher so perhaps that might be the thing to do? read more

Walked in to a dimly lit - small bar restaurant. With a small crowd of locals. The server was also the bartender and 1 cook on. First thought- oh no- But it was all on point. Were things slow to arrive - a little - but the vibes, the World Series and the constant check-ins kept us entertained. Then the food arrived and compliments to the chef!!! The pizza was like a cracker crust - that was tasty and perfect crisp. The chicken tenders were seasoned just rite and crispy- the server also gave us the dipping sauces we asked for - which was a good personal touch. The cheese on the loaded fries was nicely melted and lots of bacon. One suggestion - get rid of the cloth napkins. RI Food Fights: LORD of the Pies 2024 review Hercules is not just a take out spot. It's a sneaky little restaurant but from the outside looks like a pick up pizza spot. I was highly surprised! It has about 9 tables, a wrap around bar, dim lite, a few tvs and upscale modern decor vibe happening. The bartender works the tables. Little establishment but felt cozy. The pizza: Greek style, maybe too much sauce but flavorful. The crust is a little basic. Honey chili wings: well done is the way to go. The sauce was tasty! Also not too overpowering. Pretty good. A great sweet sauce and a tasty crust. Inside is very plain, separate bar. Parking lot is right by a sharp curve, so careful getting in and out. Prices are high compared to quanity. If you're close by, hit them up for sure. Otherwise, I don't think they're worth a special trip, but they're definitely worth trying if you're a pizza nut like me. read more

After seeing other reviews we decided to give it a try. The new bar area is really cute and the drinks were amazing. But it's like someone tried to put lipstick on a pig because you can see the old part of the pizza place from the bar. Very odd. The food was mediocre at best. We tried Hercules as we were running errands on Sunday and today is Wednesday and we already went back. My husband is a huge Italian sub fan but usually gives me a bite to try he has yet to save me one from Hercules. He has deemed it this best Italian sub in the area. I got a steak and cheese bomb which was.,, well bomb but the real show stopper was the garlic Parmesan chicken tenders 10/10 you have to have! One of the few and lone participating pizza places in northern Rhode Island for this year's Rhode Island food fights; I drove up here with my son after work Wednesday night to try their small cheese they were offering. We got a couple of sodas and waited for the pizza to come up, which did come up fairly quickly, and I can't say that either myself nor my son were too impressed by it. The underside was undercooked (almost raw dough in the center) and when you tried to lift the slice up off the tray, some of the cheese just slid right off the slice completely. First time here. Saw this place on the way home. I ordered a chili dog with fries. Service was under 10 minutes. The fries were fresh. The chili dog was huge and had it loaded. Awesome! The ambiance is getting a new makeover at the moment. Their adding a bar which should be done soon. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas. 1 Hawaiian, and 1 that has feta and spinach. The crust was AMAZING! There were absolutely NO left overs. We sat at the bar for a drink while staff was making our pizzas, bartender really friendly. Will definitely go back again. read more

My family used to love Hercules, their salads and wraps were great. Since the ownership changed several months ago, the quality of the food has dramatically declined. Dishes are hit or miss. Everything is horribly salty, so much so that we had to wash off chicken from a salad to make it barely edible. Fries were also way too salty. My favorite wrap, besides the excessive salt, just doesn't taste the same. We've given it several tries but we're giving up. No way are we going to pay higher prices for a far lower quality of food.
