Then, this week I was dying for a hot sandwich so I googled Quaker and behold they had a daily menu posted on a website! I wasn't sure if it was an old menu, so I took a ride over there to check it out. I ordered a meatball sub and I'm happy to say it certainly hit the spot! We were offered menus and the woman who seems to be the originator of this 'idea' (her name is fittingly Holly), sat down with us and told us how this venture is all run by volunteers and all the money raised goes towards funding the town of Uxbridge's annual Christmas Parade. She also explained to us (along with her marine biologist daughter) how they are trying to be as environmentally conscious as they can be. All the paper products were recyclable as well as the disposable eating utensils. They also made an extra effort to get canned water as to cut back on plastic. My friend got the chicken pot pie and I got the pastrami sandwich. We were quite pleased with our selections. They have a regular everyday menu and specials everyday.
