Great local restaurant in Bellingham! I stopped in the other day for a quick dinner and wanted a mushroom pizza. The cashiers were very friendly and knew some of their frequent customers by name. I liked that as it showed loyalty. They also have a large fridge with different drinks. A small pizza and bottle of Coke came out to $18. Not bad and it only took about 7 minutes to make. The pizza itself is more Greek style but I liked how crispy the crust was. The toppings were great and the cheese tasted fresh. I'm not a huge fan of too much sauce but this sauce was savory and not too much which I appreciated. I'd definitely stop by again to try other toppings or meals that they serve! read more

My husband and I ordered Italian subs tonight- he called in. Well whomever took the order from him remembered my order from the last time (when my husband forgot) and made it correctly! We travel 20 minutes out of the way to get their pizza. Their pizza is cooked slightly well done. It comes out perfect.

I struggle with whether or not the food is good. Ordered a Greek Pizza and an eggplant parmigiana sub (toasted) this evening. The sub was very, very greasy - more so that I remember in the past. At the end of the day - it may have been an off night, a one time thing....However, I will say: Am curious if it was attributable to the staff that was working that evening, as the two folks working the oven / preparing the food - were not faces I remember from prior visits. I moved to the area about a year ago, and in that time I've been looking for a good pizza place. I still haven't found one. I've found OKAY pizza, but that's about it. This pizza isn't BAD. It's middle of the road, mediocre, bland pizza. The prices of the pizza are definitely reasonable ($14 something for a big large pizza is fair). But there are things on the menu that seem a bit more than you'd expect (though if you look at the menu they just sort of made everything one of like 3 prices (11.99, 14.99 etc). Staff weren't rude, but not friendly either... it was a very matter of fact transaction "what did you order? Ok here you go." I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed this local spot. I've pretty much been enjoying Blackhawk since they opened. We love everything! The food is constantly delicious and fresh. Here's my second review for Blackhawk Pizza, and I felt compelled to write this as I was very impressed at how hard the guys were working tonight, and the quality of food was very good! It's a Friday night, the phone rang a little bit so I already anticipated that these folks were busy. This time I ordered a small BBQ chicken pizza and the usual jalapeño poppers. Given an estimated time of 25 minutes- but knowing that it's a Friday night and the phone rang a few extra times I knew to allow a little extra time. Arrived to the shop about 30 mins after my phone order, and there were a handful of people waiting- but the guys were hustling and the phone didn't stop ringing! I paid for my order and had to wait a few more minutes. Another customer came in to collect his order, and was upset that he had to wait as it was not ready. I think he was a little rude, which was totally uncalled for! It's Friday night, there's a bunch of guys running around cooking and wrapping food and the phone didn't stop ringing- maybe he shouldn't order pizza, from a good shop on a Friday night at prime time, just so unnecessary! This is the first time I've had BBQ chicken pizza and it was delicious! I was very impressed! No corners were cut even though they were super busy. Way to maintain standards read more

I have ordered here (both pickup and delivery) combined at least 20 times and have never been disappointed. Whether it has been pizza, wings, or a salad I have always been more than satisfied with my order. Between the customer service and quality of food this place is a must go to in the Bellingham/Blackstone area. I have been living in Bellingham for about 8 months and until now had pretty much given up on finding decent pizza, never mind fast food. I am happy to say that we finally found our place! Last night we ordered takeout from Blackhawk. It was 100% on point. The Hawaiian pizza was cooked perfectly. I wish I had taken a photo. I also order a chicken wing dinner... the box was overflowing with chicken, fries and salad...we also ordered onion rings, the were good and there was plenty of them. They also said it would arrive in 40 mins. ...it came about 25 min. It was hot and delicious we even had leftovers! I also want to mention that I live in the 3rd floor (no elevator) in a huge apartment complex. It's hard enough to get a delivery to the right building and they NEVER climb the stairs . I always have to walk down and get it. While I was waiting for my phone to ring... the delivery driver was knocking at my apartment door....with a huge smile on his face! That alone is like unheard of in the fast food biz...lol... I absolutely will order from here again!!! read more

Blackhawk Pizza has won my trust as one of my go-to pizza places. In fact, my parents now frequent this place regularly because I always have such great things to say about it. Atmosphere is inviting, clean and modern - I enjoy the digital menus, and there's always a TV on with sports in the dining area. Service is friendly and attentive to your needs. Prices are reasonable. I know they have delivery, too, but I always end up just going in. The food is the best reason for coming here. Tasty pizzas that are remarkably consistent each time. I usually stick with a simple cheese or pepperoni, but I also love their Meat Lovers - they really load it with meat, true to its name! On my last visit, I tried the Steak Special along with a side of Onion Rings. Steak was tender & juicy, the cheese and roll toasted just right. The onion rings were light and crispy. Typical pizza place , has inside seating and delivers. Had a combo pizza which was delicious. I picked it up because I wanted to check out the location. It was very clean and comfortable. The pizza used to be good. Now, the pizza is either undercooked, slices are not the same size (half really big pieces and the other half really small) or we end up with the wrong order. Tonight, we got home to find out we had the wrong pizza. When we called up to see what had happened, the kid on the phone just hung up on us. I have used this establishment approximately 4 times and I always get the same things. I get a ham and cheese sub to eat when it's delivered and I get a roast beef for lunch the following day. Every time the subs have been fine but to quote Bill Belichick "we are not talking brain surgery here." With that in mind finding another place for my business is no big deal there are a dozen pizza shops around here. The reason I take this attitude now is because last time I saw apple pie listed somewhere so tonight I asked and yes they had the pie and I ordered a piece. This place has just about everything like full dinners, appetizers and much more so I didn't think it was odd for to ask if they had vanilla ice cream since they have regular pies and vanilla ice cream and apple pie go hand in hand in the USA I asked. I get a no answer so as I'm digging out my credit card the guy is talking to someone and I hear apple pie mentioned either the guy didn't realize I could here him or he just didn't care. Next I hear him say this guy asked for ice cream with his pie and he starts laughing like a hyena no shit he thought it was the funniest he's heard. When he comes back on line I said to him I don't think it was unreasonable or funny since they go together. And he gives me a long sarcastic yeeeaaah. And that brings me to here. Had I reviewed them before he insulted me and called me an idiot the results would have been very different. Who's the idiot now. About the pie I almost forgot I asked what kind it was and he said it was a frozen pie but it just didn't occur to me that I was going to get a frozen block of apple's and that cinnamon the kind they top a coffee cake with. It confuses me why someone would spend time and money to open a pizza place that serves the same mediocre food others serve. We were excited, but ready for disappointment when Blackhawk opened. We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, a cheese pizza, and a greek salad. The pizza was okay, the cheese and sauce didn't have much flavor, and it was a greek style crust, again, lacking much flavor. (Which is the only style crust most places serve around here.)The buffalo chicken pizza wasn't bad, but was a little short on chicken. That greek salad was typical. The three items came to about $36, again - average. Everything here seems average. We will probably go back to try their sandwiches, but my expectations remain low. read more

Stopped by with a friend and split a large bacon pizza at a good price. The pizza had plenty of diced bacon and was well cooked. The cheese had a great blend and taste. I would suggest some tweaking to the sauce, more spice or possibly just a little extra, but I'm just one person. I'm not from the area, but I assumed the place was just opened from the "now open" signs and recent reviews. This pizza place certainly deserves a try.
