They were very nice and knowing that it couldn't wait, they took care of it. It was very much appreciated. 4 weeks calling and waiting for a resolution. Never go here. Went in to fix my power steering on my 2012 Honda Accord. When I picked up my car the steering was worse than when I brought it in. Had to get it towed and fixed at another shop. After 4 weeks of phone calls and invoices, the manager Stan argued with me basically saying that what I experienced was impossible. And that the invoice I brought from the shop was BS, and that those two things were more likely than this shop messing up the work. I even called him the same day saying the power steering was still not working but told me to "wait a week" which the other shop said was BS. Never go here. $2700 for a job that needed to be reworked. What a joke. read more

I'll begin this by noting that I've gone to this location twice, once for a routine oil change and the second to replace all four tires on my car. Both times they did not begin working on my car until an hour after my scheduled appointment. DO NOT go here unless you are willing to argue, hold the staff accountable, and complain to get what is considered normal service at any other place. 1) The oil change. I understand prices have been volatile since tariffs were implemented, but the cost of oil and filters has barely changed at all. Explain to me why then, at one pep boys location in February I was charged $80 for a full synthetic oil change, and then this location just months later charged $140 for an oil change. There is nothing special about my car, in fact it takes 4.5 QTs versus the typical 5 QTs, and uses the most normal, commodity Hyundai filter possible. They refuse to provide pricing up front and then charge an arm and a leg after the service is done. Ridiculous. Even the dealership wouldn't charge prices like these. 2) Four tires replacement. I got these tires replaced under a promotion with free installation so thankfully they couldn't go crazy on labor costs. The pricing was actually decent for this service. The problem is, I paid extra to have the tires aligned because under my ownership it hadn't been done yet. HOWEVER, there was no alignment report provided, nothing showing camber/caster before and after, no witness marks on the tie rods or any other bolts as far as I can tell. Nothing to suggest they actually performed the service I PAID for, and to this day I carefully monitor the wear of the tires because I have no other way to have confidence in the work they did. Do not go here. The jiffy lube, your neighbors teenage son, even WALMART auto services would be better. It's all a shame because I've been to other pep boys locations where the service and pricing have both been phenomenal, which prompted me to try this location in the first place. read more

I could not see well at night so I assumed I needed new headlights. I first took my car to the 'automobile association' who told me they could not get the headlights for my Ford Explorer. They told me I had special headlights that were $200-300 and to head to the dealer. I took it to the dealer and repeated that I could not see at night. The dealer told me that I didn't have any burnt out headlights. They recommended a restoration somewhere else. Finally I landed at Pep Boys. I asked for a headlight restoration and when they were doing that they also found one headlight was burnt out. (Note the dealer told me that none were). They said they had a replacement and it's $20. I had the complete the restoration and replace my bulbs and finally I can see well again at night. I never thought that Pep Boys would be the easiest solution to my problem but they were! They were nice and friendly and seemed honest to me. They told me my options and costs and did not try to upsell me. Someone could replace the furniture in the waiting area and give it a thorough cleaning, but the service was excellent. read more

I have to give a shout out to these people! We were driving from Va to Maine and we thought our alternator went out. We used to live in Mt Laurel so decided to call ahead. They were so kind, helpful and inviting; letting us know worst case scenario price and how long. We thought we'd have to stay overnight since we were looking at a possible 5-6 hour job and $1600, but they did a diagnostic for FREE and said all was well, and sent us on our way. They figured it was just a fluke and maybe the battery (but at this time seemed fine), but again for FREE cleaned all the terminals. **Review for Marlton Pep Boys** I visited the Marlton Pep Boys location on Saturday at 10 AM, seeking a fix for my e-brake. I was informed that I would need to leave my car for a while, but they assured me that it would be taken care of that same day. At 4:00 PM, I called for an update and was told my car was next in line and not to worry, as they were open until 7:00 PM. Unfortunately, I received no further communication that day or even on Sunday. When I returned next day to check on the status of what was supposed to be a quick fix, I was informed that they couldn't assist me even that day due to being "really busy." Not mentioning that I was first in line day earlier. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for service. This guys are absolutely unprofessional. Not saying they are one big joke. read more

Brought car on for running rough and check engine light being on. Cost to repair was $3,300. Next day car continued to run rough and engine light was still on so I returned it to pepboys. Following day received a call saying they could not find a problem and it was out of their expertise. I have a long receipt of items they replaced and labor costs but they never fixed the problem. I will never use them again and suggest anyone go to local mechanic or firestone (right across the street) for any repairs. I do notbelieve they are competent to do anything more than oil changes and tires. read more

Brought in car on Friday, service representative agreed to complete oil change by 10 am Sat. Called sat morning to confirm 10am pick up time. When I arrived at 1030 on Sat they didn't start the service yet. I had to take the car back without service back to Saturday obligation. Wasted my time on Fri/sat. I have had other bad experiences including this pep boys installing squeak front struts, and new tires that continue to leak at valve stem and rim (rim is good condition). Just wanted to highlight the incompetence of the staff here starting from the manager Stan who on multiple occasions I've heard him talking bad about his employees in front of customers. In particular, his assistant manager. The environment is pretty toxic, which flows downward towards customer service and the work being done on your vehicles. I took my vehicle in for a tire swap (brand new vehicle, and after 7 attempts to mount and balance the tires, they failed to do so until I eventually took the vehicle to Toyota to get the corrected. I inquired through pep boys customers care team requesting a call from The district manager and to this day have not received one. His name is Raj Singh and needless to say, his store is a direct reflection of his customer service and professionalism. Always want to make a positive review but there is nothing good about this place. I went in to get my tire replaced, we had an appointment at 5:30 and was there for two hours, they didn't even start on the car until an hour later. We then we see the car getting fixed and then was told nothing, we waited for another half hour and went up to a lady at the service desk and she said oh yeah here is the receipt and your cars all done. She was pleasant but how long would we have sat there waiting if we didn't say anything? ****DO NOT GOTO MARLTON PEPBOYS**** First off, im not one to leave reviews or stir the pot when it comes to service. I went to Pepboys in Marlton today to have my vehicles tie rods replaced, followed by an alignment. Going into their shop, i had no issues with my vehicles steering. After they "did the job" they gave me my keys and said have a great day. Immediately driving off i noticed i had to keep my steering wheel cocked to the right in order to drive in a straight line. I turned around and politely asked them to take a look at it. The technician Norman, got into my vehicle and started driving while I was with him. He started to explain that my tires were bad and that the old tie rods made my NEW front tires BAD. After accepting what he said being i dont know thaaaat much about cars, i made a few phone calls while in their parking lot. After discussing the issue with reputable people, they advised me what ever they did, they messed something up. I take myself into their store once again explaining my issue. They offered todo a front end tire rotation. They said its the tires, we will rotate them and your car will pull in the opposite direction now. I was thrilled they offered to help. After they did the rotation i get in my vehicle only to find out its drifting/pulling whatever you want to call it- in the SAME direction. Leading to the fact: the tires arent bad. After they tell me there is nothing they can do, but for me to call tomorrow and speak with their GM, I was incredibly displeased. I immediately got in contact with customer service. They recorded my whole statement on the matter and expedited the process. The district manager Vinny has been in contact with me to resolve this issue that still needs to be fixed at a different pepboys. Moral of the story... roman, who was telling me he had no idea about the issue, but wanted to sell me tires. Kick rocks. This place is the worst. I bring my car for an oil change since 2018. I always make the 1st appointment. I actually used to wait for it to be done. Usually about an hour. Now I might as well leave it to the next day. They are slow and never give proper updates on progress. They call and say car will be done in about an hour. 3 hours later I'm still waiting. If i could give zero stars I would. Took my truck here for an oil change and tire rotation... appointment was at 11:30am. Stood at the counter to check in my truck for over 30 minutes because they did not know how to register a diesel in the system. The diesel mechanic himself had to come to the front to enter the service in the system. At 5:45pm I went to pick up my truck which had not moved in the parking lot. When I went into the store to checkout the associate informed me they did not have time to get to my truck. I was not given a call or any form of communication all day. Of course I was frustrated as I wasted the only day I had available to take care of this servicing. I called corporate who said they would escalate my case and someone would reach out to me. After a week of no return call, I called again and was told once again someone would reach out to me. After 17 days a manager reached out to me but to no avail, I was met with a nasty attitude. The manager told me I should not be bringing a diesel to pepboys as they are not equipped to handle such a vehicle. I then asked him why I was told there was a diesel mechanic onsite when I dropped my truck off if he claims pepboys cannot handle simple diesel maintenance. He was at a loss for words. He asked how we could resolve this issue to which I suggested a discount for my inconvenience. This offer was declined, so here I am voicing my experience to deter others from having the same troubles. Do not take your vehicle here!! At first the work wasn't done properly so a follow up appointment was made. After waiting half an hour first thing and seeing the garage doors still weren't open, we rescheduled for a later start time to "accommodate the employee". The second follow up appt after being 15 minutes late (still a no show) we asked for the keys and were told to come back because mornings were not a good time to schedule an appt. I am disgusted by the poor customer service and lack of concern. I called ahead on Saturday about a tire repair. Nick said he would get the repair done later that day and would call me. No call. I call Sunday morning and speak to Joe. I told him the story. He said I'll speak with the technician and call you back asap. Never called. The psi on the tire is at 15 psi. Damaging the rim. Pep Boys obviously does not care and does not value me as a customer. I bought the tires from them less then two months ago and spent over $1200. This store has gone down hill bad. I rescheduled for the next Saturday (4 days after i was told they would arrive). Showed up for my time, they said 1. they didn't have my car in the system, and 2. they only had 3 of the tires I ordered. It took everything in me to not blow up. i have been slipping and sliding on the roads and really needed this completed.. they wasted weeks for me to get this done, and these were the only weeks my work schedule allows for time to do this before snow season. I had an excellent experience with a tire issue at the Pep Boys on Rt. 70 in Marlton NJ The Asst Mike and the manager Nick were more than patient as they listen to the issues and tried to accommodate me and my family. I really appreciate the customer service. The only issue I have is the tire guy seems to be the slowest moving person that I have ever seen. He also popped of the wheel coverings on two of my tires cracking both of them. He needs to have a little more pep in his step and care about the job he is doing. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE, it isn't a real auto service or maintenance place. Making an appointment here only ensures you'll be there on time. I waited over an hour for an oil change (and I mean like an hour and twenty minutes) I spent the last 20 min watching what are supposed to be mechanics play the fool. I went back to the service desk and asked "what kind of time are we looking at?" There were at least 6 guys hanging around laughing and telling stories. The shortest of the bunch said 3 hours and laughed hard out loud. Most of the others had the sense to scatter. Another guy said I'll put my man on it when he gets back from lunch. I asked when that'd be? And none of them had a clue. So after waiting all that time and being disrespected so blatantly and publicly. I said thank you and was real nice them on my way out. I've been having issues with one of my tires lately. There are no holes, no apparent leaks, etc. but it continues to lose air. I went with my husband early last week, and they were able to look at it. They also identified no holes, nails, valve stem issues, etc. and recommended checking/sanding down the bead seal. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix it at that time and recommended that we make an appointment. They said 20 minutes and it would be about $25 - not bad! (This would have made 5 star review, if only it ended here). Here's the short version: 12 p.m. appointment turned into an 1-hour 40 minutes of waiting for est. 20 minute job, fully staffed shop, $18 expense, rep had no explanation or understanding of what was done to the car, no invoice provided, car still not fixed. shop has no record of my visit Note: one guy had an appointment for 11 a.m. and they didn't take his car until after 1. After I cannot find it, he comes over and says rudely "that's what I said," as if I was his child. I called the store afterwards to ask for a manager, and he was the assistant manager for the day. We had the higher trim model that had xenon headlamps but Pep Boys charged him for the Xenons and ballast yet installed the cheaper halogen lights. I would have rather got all 4 but was told the other 2 were still fine and was better to buy two more expensive tires then the cheaper ones on sale ( buy 3- get 4) Then a couple of months later was told my brakes and rotors needed to be done( even though they were fine when the car was in for the tires and I don't do a lot of driving) Took the car in to look at one of the not changed tires to be told it was damaged and I had to buy a new one( then told me about the upcoming Black Friday deal after they started working on it) and also btw- your back rotors are really bad and the front ones will need to be done at some point. When I asked about why all of a sudden I needed them again so soon- I was told it was because of the 2 older tires!!! This is BS!! I'm a 63 year old woman with no prior automotive background. Yesterday, because my left brake light went out on my 2011 BMW328i, I visited this Pep Boys and, after purchasing a twin pack of the proper brake light, visited the service desk to see if someone could pop it in. I know it only takes 5 minutes because I had it done there before by simply approaching the bay area directly and asking one of the guys to install it for me. I slipped him a $10 and we each went on with our day. However, they have the bay doors closed now, I guess because it's cold out. Anyway, the service desk guy told me that at that point in the day it was jammed with other work so I'd be waiting a couple of hours. He suggested that I return at 9AM the next day (today) and one of the guys could install it for me. Just to be sure that that happened, he formally wrote a work ticket for me for 9AM Sunday. So I returned this morning to learn that I had to wait a few hours for his install. It takes - no lie - 5 minutes. I know that because the previous light installer actually showed me how to do it myself in the parking lot - but I forgot how to do it. I asked why, because I had made an appointment. So the rep asked this guy Roman, who apparently was running the shop for the day, if he can get me in, knowing I had returned from the day before and had an appointment. Roman responded with a quick, "Nope" So I approached Roman myself and repeated that I was told the day before that I could return in the morning and, with an appointment, they could install the lamp for me. He remained firm, saying, "I have a lot of work here today so you'll have to wait a couple of hours." I went home, looked up "replace brake light on a 2011 BMW328i", watched the 30 second video, then installed it myself. It took me less than 5 minutes. I am a 63 year old woman with no prior automotive experience. I am selling this car to buy, for my age, one whose repair costs are more reasonable. It, no doubt, will eventually need maintenance. Shame on you, Pep Boys. For a 5 minute bulb change? I just crossed you off my list. read more

I have a company vehicle that needed an oil change. I took it to this location because it is close to my office. I made an appointment a few days before coming in and they took my car on time. They asked if I was going to wait, I said yes - they pointed me to the direction of the waiting room and proceeded with my vehicle. I have never only once in my life seen a filthier waiting room. I could not get over how dirty everything was. I sat at the edge of a chair and refused to lean back the entire time I was in there. Old bits and pieces of food on the floor, various candy and even fingernail clippings scattered across the floor. Pep Boys invest in a vacuum and then use it once in a while. Every part of the waiting room was grimy and filthy. This is what you want to show your customers? While i was in this nasty waiting room, I could see and hear the mechanics as they worked on cars. I could see all of the clowning around and the yelling at each other. There was so much goofing off I really wondered if they were even paying attention to what they were doing to people's cars. Again, not filling your clients with a lot of confidence. My final call out was when my oil change was finished and the guy ringing me up said that my front driver's side tire was a little low on air. Really? Could you have maybe put some air in it since it was back there and I'm assuming you have an air compressor back there. When I left I looked at the receipt they gave me, it said they rotated the tires. But they couldn't put air in one of them? I don't care how close this place is to my office, it is a disgrace and I would rather pay more for better service than save a buck for the experiece I had at this place. read more

So, I've been looking around everywhere for someone to install my tires,rims, and tpms sensors. Without having to pay the dealership an arm and a leg for their service. So I called varies auto places to try and get a quote but, no one seems to be able to do it for a reasonable price. And not trying to call any places out there but, discount tires is very inconsistent. I called them 3 times asking if they did tpms sensor install and 2 of the 3 times I've called they said no. So that def. through me off. So they were out of the question. Not ever being to or dealing with Pepboys before i decided to give them a call and see what they could to for me. A sales rep by the name of Steven answered the phone and ask me exactly what I needed done. Gave me a few quotes and told me to come in to get a better estimate so he can better asses the situation I'm having. I finally get to the shop and met with Steven who was really good to work with and showed him my rims tires and tpms sensors. Called a few of his mech guys out to look as well and said, for everything it would run me no more than 106 dollars. I was shocked with the price and had to ask him to repeat it. That was the best deal i r heard all day. Unfortunately I wasnt able to do it that day but he told me to come in any day between mon-thurs. and he can get me in. So I came in the next day and he had Ben one of the mechs handle my job. I was worried at first because this was the first custom job they've done for a 2012 Toyota sienna to try and install 20"rims and set the tpms sensors as well. But They were able to complete everything with an hour-ish and drove off like I was driving on stock rims. I didn't feel any difference on the handling or vibrations. I'm glad I decided to take my vehicle there and have them handle everything. I would reccommend this place to anyone. I came here once and these guys were great! My tire was completely flat one Saturday and, at first look, they thought I would need a new one. Steve (who was VERY helpful) initially told me the wait would be probably 5 hours because they were backed up. I understood and I left my car to be fixed. About two hours later they called back and said they didn't need to change the tire and they were able to fix the damaged area! When I came in, Steve told me not to worry about the cost and just sent me on my way! They have amazing customer service, were very professional, and honest about the services they were providing.
