Hey everyone , had to finally post my experience here at PePboy's Atascocita, I've been coming to this local satellite location. I originally came for an alignment, after speaking with Johnathan he shared all the different types of service that were done here. After closely doing research on my vehicle's need it has 75,000 miles , I went with complete transmission flush and rear end differential oil change. These are just some service key necessities that you won't think of. As they did these services I ask if they could go thru the entire SUV with a fine comb to make sure it is in good shape. This place is so awesome they were able to give me a ride home I live within 3 miles so it was great. Most places won't do this you have to wait or grab an Uber. Later on I got the call there were some concerns with a bearing and 1 more issue , these are the items that if not taken care of will cause more damage more expensive one's. I'm super grateful i came in to just do an alignment, there are things you just don't think of that the techs & staff at pepboys will notice. I got the entire service done on my SUV. After this service I was so happy with the outcome I made an appointment for my BMW 430i for alignment. I asked Johnathan to check it make sure it was sound they found out my tie rods needed to be changed. I got this service done as well. I also got my fuel system cleaned just maintenance. Hey I forgot to mention to check out there online coupons, great savings. They have great financial options just in case you run into some snags on items you weren't expecting . I scheduled to fix a nail in my tire yesterday and the appointment was at 930am this morning. Upon arriving, i got a text to reschedule as i call them. They told me the machine is not working and we can try another location. But i have flat tire, how that will remedy my problem? I remember this last year, same location for oil change, but machine suddenly not working or just do not want my business. These people took me and my 9 month pregnant wife's car and proceeded to pretend to do my tire alignment in 10 minutes and then brought it back out saying it was fixed completely. After driving away we noticed it was pulling worse than before and a second mechanic told us they had scammed us. I was having a loud noise come from under my car and I had NO CLUE what it was. I brought it here and the workers who were there were SO helpful. They fixed the problem within a couple minutes. I scheduled a diagnostic appointment today due to having car trouble. I got my car towed to this location and was 20 minutes early for my appointment. The guy at the front desk refused service to me. I told him the issues I was having and even though I was there for a diagnostic (to reveal what the actual issue is) he said no you need to take your car to the dealership. He never checked my vehicle not once. I do feel however it was because I am black that he refused service. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Sad thing the tow truck company even went in to speak with him and he still refused to service me even with my appointment. We never took the car off the tow bed. read more

Absolutely disgusted with this location. My deaf husband went in for a battery repair (over $700) and the windsheild wipers were functioning before hand because it was raining. When he drove home they stopped working. He made an appointment for them to look since they were working right before. When he arrived he was greeted and then not communicated with at all until someone came up and let him know that it would be ANOTHER $428 to repair. They would not explain to my husband why. It wasn't until I called they explained. We looked into the cost and it is way under for that type of repair. When my husband decided he was not going to do the repair due to a basic lack of communication- they told him it would be $110 for looking at it. THEY NEVER COMMUNICATED THAT WITH HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE. This location really must like taking advantage of deaf people. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I went here after a tire popped on me and a stud had to be taken out and asked for a re-alignment. My car was ready within a few hours after i dropped it off () but was told the realignment wasn't able to be done because parts of my power steering system and tire rods had to be replaced. i thought it was strange because i had just gotten my tire rods replaced less than 6 months ago. I got the quote and the total was $2300 TOTAL for basically a whole new power steering system, along with "labor warranty" fees? i took my car for a second opinion at Slaters and they told me my car was fine, and that the alignment was all that was needed! I dodged a bullet here and i suggest before you get work done here to get a second opinion elsewhere because i almost got scammed $2300! read more

I would of done more reviews for all the times I have been here if I would of had this app then lol. I am very pleased with this place. Sadly the store manager is leaving but he was a great guy and very helpful. The remaining staff are just as helpful and friendly. They do their best to help you save money why doing quality work. This is by far not the closest service center to me but it is worth the drive. They do hold up to their service promise and then some. The assistant store manager, crystal I believe, even stayed opened late when I had an emergency tire fix. read more

This place is amazing. Needed a flat tire repaired and they saved me hours of time and a bunch of money. They are outstanding. They explained that my Mercedes tire probably had a road hazard warranty and took time to file a claim on my behalf and got us a new tire. Why are the Yelp reviews skewed against this place?? Usually I stay away from this place, because they have hardly been competitive in pricing, when compared to other shops in the area.The wife got a deal on alignments for both of our vehicles, so I went with it. This review is reflective of the customer service we received. Hopefully, this does not reflect the business or other workers. We did everything we we're supposed to do prior to our arrival, as suggested by the person we talked to on the phone. The worker couldn't figure out how to use the system, and it was taking a long time to reach her manager. Also, her voice seemed as if she did not want to be at work over the phone and in person. Terrible service. I came to get a oil change on my vehicle, which I've done twice at this location with no issues. I arrived the day before at 645 because it says they close at 8 online. When I arrived I was informed that it takes 40 mins to do the oil change but they were closing. I informed them that it says it closes at 8pm online and they told me they have been closing at 7pm for weeks now. I also asked about my Car Care Service Plan in which I used twice with no issue and I was informed to bring in my coupon book from the heavy set guy in the front. The following day I arrived 6pm and was asked by the same heavy set white guy if I wanted to drop the vehicle off and pick it up in the morning. I said no I will wait. He then informed me that the guy doing oil changes just started a oil change and it will take about 40 mins to complete. Clearly this was a lie because the other guy was talking to another customer about her car filter and she stated "he was working on her vehicle for a while". In order to try and turn me away he then states that they do not honor my Car Care Service Plan because the company doesn't pay them. I informed him that I have brought my vehicle to that location twice and haven't had an issue. He then "looked into" the system using my telephone number and license plate number and stated that he couldn't find my vehicle in the system which was also a lie because I called earlier that day to verify they would be able to get me in today and they were able to look my car up with my telephone number. The other two times in which I came into the location there was a short dark skinned guy, and a Spanish guy at the front register that was extremely helpful, this time around the service was terrible. If you go in there and see a heavy set guy looking like he's bothered that you walked through the door just turn around because his customer service skills are terrible and he is bad for Pep Boys business. No thank you for your service, Please come back, go F yourself, nothing. I absolutely will never return and will discourage others from using them. *Poor service, highly unprofessional, and unfortunately seemingly deceitful. Replaced a part when we only wanted a quote.* We called ahead Saturday, came in on Sunday morning to have a simple diagnostic + price quote for EGR valve replacement. He told us he would keep us in the loop, have his guys look at it and call us. We came by means of that car and so we decided to stay in the area if it was to be looked at next, as he said. An hour went by, no word back, we call and he tells us they hadn't looked at it, but were just then doing so. We allow almost two hours to go by, walk back & he continues to make excuses as to why it was being delayed but that it would for sure be done that day. We stuck around bc we had already invested our morning and if the car was to be done in those next few hours we didn't want to burden our friends to drive all the way from Tomball to get us. It's 2:30pm and they closed at 4. We go back and they are cleaning up the shop at 2:40. (They ceased working on cars 1.5 hours before closing time? A little odd, but okay it was Labor Day weekend) They never called us to say they couldn't work on it that day. No communicating or holding to his word. Paul tells us now that he didn't want to have his guys look at it bc they weren't trained enough & he didn't trust them to work with the EGR valve. We ask why they didn't even check the car's valve to see if it needed to be replaced or run the diagnostic (bc that's what we wanted before anything) and he admits to us that he couldn't use their scanning machine to run the tests bc it was needing updates so he spent all day updating it (which was deceitful bc he upfront told us that he uses the machine daily- no continuity with those two answers). We would've preferred to know that information. He assures us to leave it overnight and it will be checked in the morning. It's Labor Day weekend and we had no other auto shop open to go to so we leave it and find a ride home. Monday morning we call. He says that he still can't get the machine to work so we tell him not to run a diagnostic, but to just have his mechanic look at it in order to determine by the location of it how long it would take and therefore the price of labor it would be to replace it...and then to call us so we could decide if we would have it done. (Mind you, we didn't know if the EGR valve was the problem so we wouldn't get it replaced if not necessary, unless it was a really low cost) We confirmed that it was understood BY HIM that we wanted a quote for it and to be contacted BEFORE they do them. We call in the afternoon getting updates and the same run around responses without any clear timeframes with when they will go look at it. They were too busy to prioritize us despite our car being left there longer. We call back around 4pm and Paul tells us it's already been changed that we can come pick the car up. That was baffling to us. They FULLY went against our authorization. He tells us he is "going to just charge us $200 for the labor." (We supplied our own part). Well at that point it was already done. My husband and I just wanted to drop it and show the man mercy and show him Christ so we went in without complaint. He again, changed his word and charged us in person $215. [There was more to the story of other negatives, but this is the need to know aspect of our experience.] We reminded each other that in this particular case it was more valuable to not fight it, but be grateful that our Lord is sovereign and we're only managers of His money. That being said, as managers of God's money we won't unwisely make that same mistake twice. I do hope that this is helpful in anyone else's decision making process when weighing if they should choose this Pep Boys. I also hope no one has the experience that we did. read more

This was our first visit today and we were greeted promptly and professionally. We had an usual issue, but they not only took a look to see if they could even take care of it, but they were able to get it taken care of in about 30minutes!!! We did not have an appointment. so we really appreciated the timeliness this was handled as we are headed to a school function. We did get there just in between appointments (so timing helped), but they were friendly, professional and resolved our issue in a timely manner so a huge THANK YOU to this PepBoys location for the above and beyond!! read more

I was in area visiting a friend of mine that told me about his good experiences at your store and thought id give it a shot and wasnt really surprised of the good service I recieved . Im sorry to say but I dont remember the young ladys name , the manager was very polite and I was in and out pretty quick . It was only an oil change and lube that I requested but will definelty be back for the services she had suggested that will need to be addressed in the future on my vehicle . GO HERE!!! The customer service experience was excellent!!! My husband and I were walk-ins and we purchased tires and were in and out in an 1hr and a half. I also went back for a rotation and Paul (manager) was very busy and I had an another appointment and informed him of that. The tech got the rotation done in NO TIME!
