We went in for a simple tire rotation, the gentlemen helping us was polite but the owners are TERRIBLE! First the price was $40, then it was $10 extra for the lug nuts, no big deal...total we were told would be $50. When we went to pay they jacked the price up to $100 and were completely rude about it. I went in on Sunday and got two tires replaced, 14 inch tires so they're not super common, but they had to in stock. Upon arriving back home, I noticed that one tire was great, and the second tire was dry rotted and had cracks all around the perimeter. I called and asked for an exchange and she said she would call me whenever they got one in, it's been a week and I haven't been able to drive my car so I went and bought a new tire, and called and asked for a refund. When I explained to her that the tire they sold me had cracks all around the perimeter the woman on the phone immediately raised her voice at me and started accusing me of being irresponsible for not checking the tire before I left, but a customer should trust that a business will do a good job regardless of being watched. A business should do the right job whether the customer checks the eir work or not. It was irresponsible to install a bad tire. It had low tread, but the bigger issue is that its out of round and has cracks all around the perimeter. Sign says they charge a 3% credit card fee, I paid with a debit card and they not only charge me a $10 and some change fee, they charge me 4% on a debit card charge. Save yourself a time don't come back to Dan's, go down the road to Oliverez. read more

So I stopped here for them to check my tire because I thought a nail might be in my front tire mind you no lights were on about tire pressure I just wanted them checked. It was busy and there were a lot of other cars, so I waited 15 mins for someone to ask what my service was and when he took my tire off I thought I had a nail in it and I keep trying to ask him if it really was a nail in it and he seemed busy so I thought I was getting my tire fixed cause they brand new and come to find out he puts my tire on a machine to "check" it and he comes back to the car and tell me that my tire was good and told me to go inside and pay $20 and I'm confused cause he only checked one tire, customer service was horrible because he could at least eyeballed the other tires to make me feel like I'm being serviced. Then I asked the lady waiting to take my "card" payment for $23.00 cause they charge $3 for you to use your credit card and she told me that because he had to put it on a machine to check my tire it's $20 for each tire and asked why did he take off my tire in the first place and I told her I thought I might have a nail in it, and I asked her if he can check the rest of my tires since I'm paying $20. horrible, horrible used tire shop. i purchased a used tire on 5/18/25 for 73.00 and 5/20/25 i had a blowout on that same dry rotted tire. thank god i did spin out a total out my car. also, due to the blowout my tpms sensor in my rim is destroyed. i contacted the company to report what happened and the owners daughter wanted to give me a tire. took no accountability for anything. why would i want anything else from your shop. i went to the shop today 5/24/25 and she refused a full refund. sad. had the tire less than 24 hours. i would never do business with them again. i'd rather drive on a flat tire. customer service is garbage. scam artists. they don't deserve 1 star. read more

I was calling around for pricing to replace two 305r55 20 tires and I gave them the size and got a quote for $25 each. When I arrived the owner requesting for more because they were bigger then what she thought, not my fault she doesn't know tire sizes. We then agreed to $35 each since I was already there. When all work was done she then wanted $75 giving me an attitude and treating to put the old tired back after we had agreed to $70 with disposal before starting the work. We were traveling to Houston from Dallas when a semi truck pulled in front of us and two crates of roofing nails came flying off of their bed. We went to Dan's Tire Shop when we realized what hit us (literally), and they pulled 15 nails out of our tires and patched up what needed to be patched. Lovely way to start the day... I get up early, gonna make an early day of it, then go to dinner with the wife in town, probably at a new place.... I'm almost to BW8 and I feel something blow... left front tire is gone....well, not gone, but certainly flat... you can hear that lovely Flub...flub...flub sound. GROOOAAANNNN... D@mnit. Dunno what I hit, didn't see anything on the road, but that's what it felt like. So I stop, the first place's air pump is fried. So I buy a can of fix a flat, it inflates the tire SOMEWHAT and I head for the used tire place I know is down the road... .and closed until 9am... WTF??? So I head back for another gas station with an air pump and try to pump the tire up... no dice.. I can hear the air escaping from somewhere. I move over and go for the spare.... oh, lovely.. It's a d*mned donut... yay... I already hate it already....and it's... say it with me... FLAT. Utterly frakking classic. At this point, I just want to set fire to the Dodge and be done with it. Can't do that I guess..... So I put the d*mned donut on, and get the air again. Fortunately the d*mned donut holds air. To top it off, while I'm changing the tire I realize that the rim may very well be bent... JOY! At this point I have to decide whether to go ahead and drive from near Humble down to the Galleria on the d*mned donut. But by now I'm filthy, sweaty, p*ssed, and just OVER IT ALL. So I call in, tell my supervisor - at my NEW job - that I'll see her tomorrow. Did I mention that I'm in a pair of good Khaki trousers? We're about to see just how good my dry cleaners is... we'll see... So I make my way to the place where I know we can solve all these issues with NO frustration. Dan's Tire Shop. And $45 and ten minutes later, I have a decent used tire from the shop I would NORMALLY go to for such things (which opens early like a SANE used tire shop) - Fortunately the rim was NOT bent enough to ruin it and they pounded the dent back into shape... glad that I didn't have to, I WOULD have broken the bloody thing! SO, I'm home for the day, about to jump in the shower. And I just took a hydrocodone because I don't think aspirin will help at this point.... Dan's was a lifesaver. I arrived utterly stressed out and they provided a fast, professional service at good price. I could not be happier with the service ...and it's a used tire, so we'll see about the product... figure as long as it doesn't blow out on me tomorrow on the freeway at 70 mph it's good. Went to Tireplus because of a nail in my tire as soon as the store opens. (I am the only person there) took 50 minutes to come back with I need a new tire for $167.realized I was being scammed so I went to Dan's shop because of good reviews on Yelp took 10-15 mins and was told a patch is needed and not a new tire. This place was a life saver. My front two tires were bald and I was getting scared to drive on them. I found this place here on yelp and made a quick trip over here. I was helped immediately as I walked up and out in 30 MINUTES. I paid less than $100 for two perfectly good tires. I'd say they are about 50% worn, which is okay because I was looking for a used tire at a reasonable price (but one that wouldn't fall apart on me). I've had these tires about 4 days and they are still working well. Such a relief to not have a shaky steering wheel anymore. These guys are great. read more

I've looked a lot of places for a used tire the size I needed. Many times I've been let down. Apparently 235x75x15 is a hard tire to locate used. They had two large stacks of them. $48 and 20 minutes later my problem was solved. I recommend this place if you need a used tire to get you by. read more

Our teenage son had a screw in one of the tires of his 2015 Rogue Select. The tires on his vehicle are 16". Nacho had plugged a tire on my 2011 370z a couple of years ago. So we called Dan's to get a price quote and we were told tires 16" & smaller are $10, & larger than 16" is $15. So we sent our son to Dan's. They plugged the tire and Nacho charged my son $15. My husband called the shopped again to verify the cost & he was told $10 for 16" & smaller & $15 for larger than 16". WOW, imagine our huge disappointment to feel like Nacho deliberately cheated our son. They went back to the shop to discuss it but Nacho looked at my husband thru the large glass window and said "we closed". It was 6:50pm the posted sign lists the closing time at 7:00pm. My husband informed them that he was not there for service but he was hoping to talk to him about the price he had charged our son. Nacho ignored my husband would not come out to talk to him and after a few minutes turned off the light and sat inside the shop in the dark. So this is the consideration we get for being a loyal repeat customer. We have 5 vehicles in our 5 member family, Dan's will never get a recommendation nor our business again. Bought 2 used, had 2 moved to back and balanced. Tireman was reminded 2 minutes after quote that he was to balance tires going to the back. % days later driving to Cleveland steering wobbles that was not there before tire change. My guess they are out of balance or bad. Today checking brake pads i had a 4 way and took all of my weight and force to break loose. I weigh 300 lbs, went back Tireman had attitude about having to loosen the lug nuts so i can tightening them to the recommended torque, the guy got attitude because he knows his job and said torquing them to the right amount was not his job. Tireman complaining the whole time about they are not 2 tight so i handed him the lug tool that came with the car and said loosen them with this, at that time he said " i'm not doing it by hand". well if there is a flat ill have to be on the side of the road working that professional tire job. well that's my experience. read more
