I will never go back to Pep boys. It was the worst experience I have ever had getting anything done on my truck. I used AAA to tow my truck for a simple nail plug in my tire. I was charged for the plug and the valve\sensor that was also replaced. The next morning, I notice the tire was flat again. So, I had to AAA my truck back to Pep Boys. While at Pep Boys, I find out they never plugged the tire and only replaced the valve. But I was charged for the tire plug. I was lied to and forgotten about while I was there. I was charged for something that was not done to my truck. Then was not refunded or compensated in any way shape or form. I spent 4.5 hours there on Sunday then another 5 hours on Monday. They were unable to find me a tire to replace the one that was flat. They then tried to have me purchase four new tires. I was told all the tires I was considering were not in stock. They suggested I drive to Salem, MA to the other Pep Boys myself to pick up four tires and bring them back for them to install them the next day. I said this is ridiculous and told them to take my truck from the lift so I can go elsewhere. I went down the street to Woody's tire shop and was taking care of quickly and professionally. And much less expensive than I would have paid at Pep Boys. My other 3 tires are in great shape, Woody's tire sold me and replaced only the damaged tire. read more

Seriously regretting not reading the reviews before going to Pep Boys in Everett. Okay, so I take work off on Monday to get a bunch of errands done including getting new tires. I call Pep boys and get Sal. Sal tells me if I bring the car in at 2 they will have it done by 6. I get they're busy so no big deal, I can leave my car there and go back to pick it up. I get a call at 6:30 from Sal telling me that despite telling me they had the tires I wanted they actually don't have them.... He was apologetic and said that they could get them for me for Wednesday. I go back to pick up my car and Sal tells me that he will call me at 11 on Wednesday when they get the tires in and he promises to "take care of me". I'm frustrated but tell him that's fine, I can move most of my work meetings except a 3pm and a 5pm. He says that won't be a problem. So I cancel all other meetings on Wednesday and wait for the call starting at 11. I'm sure everyone already knows that no call comes. Because why would they keep their word right? I call at 12. I'm told Sal isn't there and asks what tires I need. I tell them I don't know the exact tires but they're for a Honda CVR and that I have an account he can look it up. He tells me "I'm really not helping him here." Okay...cool...well you're not helping me either buddy. He finds my account and says that they have 7 in stock. He is going to "get his hands on them and call me right back in two minutes" with what time I can come in. That was an hour and half ago. This place is a joke. Clearly. This is an extremely mixed review. I'm tempted to give 3 stars because it "seems" like a 3 star experience in some respects (open Sundays, accommodated me without an appointment, clean shop), but "Meh. I've experienced better" is a far more accurate description of my feelings after what happened yesterday. Saturday night, check engine light comes on, the car engine starts jerking/shuddering, I'm a block from home with my husband driving, so my husband nervously drives the one block home, and parks in our driveway. Ideally, you don't want to mess around with check engine lights (could be the engine seizing up, or something else very serious), so the next morning I have it towed to the only place in the area with mechanics working on Sunday: Pep Boys. For the record, my husband and I placed bets that night on what the problem actually was: I guessed spark plug not firing, he guessed bad fuel mixture ratio... I don't have an appointment at Pep Boys, so it takes a couple hours to run the diagnostics. Totally understandable. Turns out, I won the bet! It was a single ignition coil not firing. The estimate they gave me was insane. Over $750 to replace THREE spark plugs AND three ignition coils (v4 engine and we had one plug/coil that had been recently replaced, so that was fine). I don't remember what they were charging for the plugs, but the ignition coils alone were $152/each -- an extremely overinflated price, as I would later verify. This is ridiculous. We have one ignition coil causing the problem, why do you need to replace 5 other components that are working? I tried to explain that I just wanted the problem fixed, that this was an emergency repair, and as long as the car was drivable, I could get a full tuneup at my regular mechanic later that week. They INSISTED that I needed to replace everything. Yes, the plugs were old, yes the ignition coils had seen better days, but there was only one part that was actually broken. This is like taking a car to a shop for a flat tire and, although the other three tires are perfectly legal and drivable, they immediately give you an invoice for replacing all four of them and refuse to honor your request for just replacing the flat. (Not a perfect example, ideally you want to get the same tires/conditions on the same axle, especially with four wheel drive you want all four to be the same, but that's not the case with ignition coils. What they did was downright devious) The mechanic eventually came out, I point blank asked him if he could just replace the one coil. He never answered the question, gave me some BS excuse, and said that he would feel bad if I drove down the road and something else gave out. I kept coming back and saying I just wanted the broken thing fixed. He said "Oh, you don't understand what I'm talking about" He went out to the shop, came out with a spark plug (like I hadn't seen one before?) and explained how engines worked and what parts he wanted to replace. Seriously? Yes, I know how engines work. I brought my car in because you have the magical computer diagnostic tool, not because I need "what a spark plug is" explained to me! At any rate, they didn't even have the parts in stock and wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday at the earliest. So guess what? I took out my phone called Autozone. The ignition coil Pep Boys was charging $152 for (not including labor or shop fees) was $90 there -- AND they had them in stock! Done! Because of the diagnostics Pep Boys did, I knew that my MPGs might take a hit but the car was safe to drive a few miles, even if it felt like I was driving an oversized 2 cylinder motorcycle :-p To the credit of Pep Boys, they did not charge me for the initial diagnostics they ran after I told them that the part was available for far cheaper and IN STOCK, at AutoZone just a few miles away, and that the repairs they were trying to make me do were ridiculous, in this context. I was happy to pay for the diagnosis (I mean, they have the equipment, I didn't, it was valuable to me -- I'll give them that), but they waived the charges. So I swung by home, picked up the husband (he likes doing car things to feel manly ;) ), picked up the socket wrenches, and $90 (not $750+) and less than 5 minutes of work later, the car ran beautifully. Seriously, replacing this is a 5 minute job in the AutoZone parking lot. Take off the plastic engine cover, pull out the old coil, plug in the new one, put the engine cover back on. Anyone can do it. Making an appointment with our regular mechanic today to get a tune up, but I'm sure it will be far less than what Pep Boys was asking. (Heck, you can order the parts online for even less than what AutoZone was charging! Seriously, good honest mechanics are worth their weight in gold). I'm not super rough on my car and don't need a ton of maintenance but when I do, it always feels like a coin toss of where to go. Pep boys is a box chain auto repair store which can be hit or miss, but I've been pretty happy with their service. My first experience with this location was just ok. I waited what felt like an excessively long time for my service but I was satisfied. This time I walked in and my car was taken in for service right away. The gentleman who helped me was really friendly and took the time to actually show me the parts of my breaks that caused the awful grinding noise. He basically gave me "breaks 101," which I appreciated. It made me feel like they aren't trying to con me into more expensive service, and like he cares about what his customer. I'll be back when I need my car serviced, especially when I need weekend or other extended hours. read more

Thinking I had a bad battery, I went in tp the Everett location and eventually found the repair counter. The person there was very lacking in terms of their customer service skills. He didn't really seem to listen or care. They wanted to charge me 15.00 to check the battery. I felt I had little choice ad turned over my keys. then I found out I had to wait over an hour (the parking lot and store did not seem very busy). I left for some air, and walked two doors up to NTB. WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE!. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I brought my vehicle here for brake service, they inspected my vehicle, and told me that I needed Calipers, pads, rotors, and a break flush, the mechanic refused to work on the vehicle unless I replaced all of my breaks, they quoted me a little over 1600 dollars. I took my vehicle home and rechecked the breaks myself, and sure enough all I needed was pads and rotors all around. My calipers were not frozen, and did not NEED replacing. These guys are SCAM artist, if there ever was a business that I'd like to see fail, it's pep boys. How have they been around for this long ? ...maybe it's because they over charge unsuspecting people who are desperate to fix there car, for work that they don't need. I dropped my car off at 11am for my appt.. all the tires were losing air.. finally after 4 calls with no answer I got through..my car was there until 4pm for a nail.. other people around looking angry. Probably waited hours for their cars. Anyway the kid didn't know anything about my car just that it was ready. When I arrived to pick it up the manager there Steve was rude and ignorant..I asked the kid what the problem was and steve, THE MANAGER, yelled over that I had a nail in my tire.. I'll start by saying the only reason I kept going back to Pep Boys is because I signed up for a credit card with them years ago when I was working PT and it was just easier to make payments instead of forking over hundreds at once. Every time I've gone to Pep Boys I've had some sort of issue with them. For example, recently I had to get an oil change so I made an appointment online. I showed up about 15min early in hopes that they could take my car early, the girl said it wouldn't be long so I went and sat in the waiting area. After about an hour of waiting I asked if they were almost done and she said they would be bringing my car in next-they had not even taken it in yet! I mentioned that I had an appointment scheduled almost an hour ago and she responded with "those don't really matter, it's whoever gets here first." I understand first come, first serve if there is not an appointment but why even allow someone to schedule a time then? It took about another hour for them to actually do the oil change... I've had other times when I've gone and they've done the typical mechanic thing where I go in for one thing and they tell me I need 5 other things done. I don't think I've ever been out of there in less than two hours. They work extremely slow and never give you any updates/estimates whatsoever. The staff isn't really friendly and they don't really explain why they have to do anything (which furthers my thought that they just make things up to drive up the bill). Went in to have brakes inspected. Was told that it was $14 just to look at them (which would come off the bill). Was called to listen to a spiel about a tire, and then given an estimate of nearly $1,000 for the brakes (over $500 for just the front passenger). In the end, it cost spent $40 on a oil change, and the $14 to look at the brakes. Went to Monroe, was told that the rear brake was not imminent, and was spent $460 on the front...with much better service. read more

After both having some of my own and heard stories of countless problems, I usually tend to avoid chain quick lube/ auto service type places. I was WAY overdue for an oil change though, and my mechanic (who bailed me out last time a quick lube place messed up my car) isn't open on Saturdays, so against my better judgment, I took my car here for my oil change. I walked in without an appointment, at 2:15 on a Saturday afternoon, presumably one of their busiest times of the week. They told me there would be just over an hour wait, and while I momentarily considered going somewhere else, I just wanted this oil change done, so I decided to wait. I queued up Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me! and watched a couple of TED talks on my phone, and before I knew it, it was 4pm. Figuring my car must be about done, I decided to check on the progress. The woman behind the counter told me the car had not been brought in yet, and it would be an hour. At this point I reminded them I had been told it would be an hour wait almost two hours ago. This is when their sales manager stepped in, and very professionally apologized, and told me they'd bring my car in immediately, and over my initial objections (after all, I did wander in on a busy day without an appointment) that they wouldn't charge me for the oil change. Not a small offer either, as I have a large-ish engine that takes 8 quarts of fully synthetic oil. I wasn't expecting this kind of service, and was very impressed. I probably still have some warming up to do when it comes to trusting chain quick-lube type places, but for what it's worth I got a very good impression from this Jiffy Lube, and will very likely come here again, even though it is slightly out of the way from where I live in Medford. I've always been of the belief that you learn more about a business by how they react when there are problems, than at any other time, and judging by my small problem, and how they dealt with it, I am very impressed. I bought four tires from this store. The clerk, Andrew, said he couldn't find my tires, so he started a marketing pitch for a more expensive one. When I said I am going to buy from somewhere else, he miraculously found the tires. In fact they were just in front of us all this time :-) I said fine, the usual stuff. They started to work on my car. Then, Andrew said one of my pressure sensors was not working and they needed to replace it for $90. There was absolutely no problem with it before I came to the store. I said just put the old one. He said he can't, if I didn't want to buy a new sensor, then I needed to call a tow truck and get my car from the store. I said wth, ok put a new sensor. They finished the work but my pressure sensor was on. Andrew said it will turn off by itself by the time I go home. It didn't. Next day I took the car back to the store for the light issue. They did some stuff and it turned off. But the day after that it turned on by itself again. By the way, the tire pressures were fine. That happened three more times and each time I took the car back to the store, waited a couple of hours, they "fixed" it, and the next day the light was on again. No explanation why it was happening neither. Now I have 4 new tires and a car with a pressure light always on. I could have gotten the same tires from another store with the same price. I had an awful experience at this location. First of all, I made an appointment for a 9am alignment. I get there and the represenatative tells me that there are 3 people ahead of me so it will be a 1.5 hr wait time or so. I was ok with that. I get up and check at around an hour and 20 min, and my car has not even been moved. I go and ask for an update. New representative (red hair guy with a beard) tells me that they only have 1 bay for alingments and the current car on ramp needs lots of components changed. Now the new updated wait time is "a few hours." This has been the worst Pep Boys service I have encountered in all my time of owning cars. You lost a customer today. I will not take my car in again for any service. As I told your representative, the moment he found out that the car on ramp needed a lot more services than a simple alignment, he should have come to tell me about new wait time rather than me getting frustrated and asking for an update. There is no penalty for being honest, but you will be penalized for deceiving your customers!!! read more

Around 2 month ago I took my Hummer H2 to this Pep Boys location in Everett MA for a tires change and to fix my truck door that was locked and was not opening 3 hours later they called me to let me know that my tires change was ready and my trunk door was opening, when I went to pick up my truck they employee tells me that the inside panel from my trunk door was cracked and that I did it , I told him that when I took it there I was in perfect conditions and I need my keys to see the damage , the employee tell that I need to pay first to get my keys , when I paid and go outside to check my truck the crack the inside panel in 3 different parts plus now the trunk door open but don't close because they damaged the lock trying to open the door and they crack the panel trying to take it out from the inside too work on the lock , when I told the employee to see the service manager she told me that the service manager was not in store for the day to come next day , so she took pics to show them to the manager next day , when I show up in store next day and ask for the service manager, the answer was that she or he couldn't come to see me cause was too busy at the moment and that I have to come back the next day , what I did , then this is my third time in store and when I ask for the manager they told he was on vacations , at this point the employee told me I should call corporate and make a claim what I did and been waiting 2 months, to get a call today to tell that for what the store manager remembers my car was like that when I took it there and they are not responsable to fix it , first of all , he can't remember because he wasn't in store the day this happened, and now the person that is taking care of the claim tells that they could not check the cameras to see who did it cause the don't have cameras where they was working on my truck, till this day the manager never looked my car or me in person, so if don't want your car to get damaged , don't ever take it to this location, because they don't wanna be responsable for damages they did and the worst is a lying store manager that never looked at my truck in person and cause he was not in store and say he remembers that i took it there like that , if could give a 0 star to this location and the manager I will, stay away from this location pep boys Everett MA read more

Stay Away!! On Friday I received an email that Pep Boys was having a tire sale. I went online, chose 4 tires, added in installation and a wheel alignment and scheduled an appointment for this morning. When I arrived on time for my appointment, although there was no one else in the store, it took over 3 minutes for Cliff to even acknowledge me. Then he told me they only had 2 of the tires I had ordered in stock. When I asked why my appointment was confirmed if they did not have what I had ordered, he was rude and told me I should have called. The email did not say that I needed to call, just that my appointment was confirmed and even gave me a tracking number. What is the sense of having an online appointment option that told me I was all set to have the service that I had ordered if they did not have the tires in stock?! Cliff could have handled this situation very differently. If he had been polite and offered me another tire option I would have spent more money to have the new tires on my car today. Instead he was very rude and all I did was waste my time. Avoid Pep Boys at all costs until they hire people who understand about simple common politeness, never mind customer service. read more

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry and a 2004 Lexus and I only take my cars to Pep Boys in Dedham. They are prompt and their assessment of what's wrong, reliable and fixing the issue, and fair in the pricing of the repairs. They often offer monthly coupons with Pep Boys and stand by their work. I call ahead to make sure that they can take care of my car, drop it off and when I come back the car has been fixed to my satisfaction. I'd recommend this Pep Boys to anyone that's looking for mechanical expertise that's fairly priced. read more

I had tires installed on my vehicle two days ago and it was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. It started in the store when I showed up for my appointment time half an hour early and proceeded to wait until two and a half hours after my original appointment time for a simple tire install. This would not have been much of a problem if I hadn't seen my tire installer playing on his phone for fifteen minutes straight and then argue with a coworker out in the box for 45 of the 60 minutes he was actually working on my car. Then when I went to checkout I noticed I was overcharged. The individual checking me out instructed me there was nothing he could do, that I would have to contact the manager the next day over the phone to have the charges changed. After calling and speaking to the manager(Cliff, the same individual who rang me up incorrectly) I was treated like a fool as he ran through multiple excuses for why I was overcharged. I was charged $19 per wheel for mounting and balancing. This is the charge for a tire with an aspect ratio of 0-35. My tire aspect ratio was 50, which means I should've been charged at the correct rate of $12. When I initially confronted Cliff with this information I was told that $19 per tire is the basic charge for all mounting and balancing and the 50-55 or 60-65 charges I saw were in addition to the basic charge. After receiving this ridiculous excuse, I explained to Cliff that if that were the case then I was undercharged and maybe should have had to pay more. After thinking about it, he then came back with another excuse that the 0-35 is not actually the aspect ratio of the tire but the speed in which his balancing machine spins. He further explained that his shop does not have the 50-55 or 60-65 mph machine and that's why I was charged the 0-35 rate. He then stated that he would refund me my money "if I really wanted him to" but that I was charged correctly at the 0-35 rate because of the machinery. At the beginning of the interaction I thought perhaps it was a mistake or incompetence on the part of the service manager, Cliff, who rang me up. But after listening to his excuses, I now know that he was intentionally ripping me off. I can only imagine how many other people have been ripped off by this Pep Boys location. In addition to all this, my tires were purchased through TireRack. TireRack uses "trusted" installers who participate in their "Price Pledge" program. This PepBoys location clearly should not be a "trusted" installer. If I had researched on Yelp first I would've seen their 2 star rating with multiple reviews warning to never step foot in this location. read more

Despicable. Came in on 3/26/17 for oil change. Waited a total of THREE HOURS. Employees excuse was there were other cars were ahead. Why, because i'm only doing an oil change? I should mention there was one other gentleman in the waiting room the majority of the time i waited. Okay, fine. Whatever. Benefit of the doubt. Flash forward two months. I make an online appointment for a tire change and oil change (total over $700. I make the appointment, set the time and pay online. I then received a call the same day of my appointment from an employee at pep boys asking if he can "get me to cancel my appointment because he's booked up all day". Then why was i able to book the appointment in the first place? "If i knew, I'd be rich" ... how helpful. Screw this place. Terrible service. I ordered 4 tires that were buy 2 get 2 free plus the installation. The website said that the tires were available that day, I got an order confirmation and set up an appointment for the next day. When I got to the shop they told me the promotion ended weeks ago and that they could only give me 2 tires, despite the being advertised on their website (and still being advertised) and having a confirmed order. I had no choice to get the tires because the tires on my car were unsafe, but I ended up paying aroud the same price for 2 different tires that I aren't even the ones I ordered. I work full time and haven't been able to go back and dispute this but I feel like I got ripped off. Also, they rotated my tires and didn't inform me that my CV boot was torn, there was grease all over the wheel so there's no way they didn't notice. I would like to speak to corprate and hopefully get 4 of the tires that I ordered. read more

Went to this PepBoys location. Apparently they have a lyft office inside the store which makes the place look busier than they actually are. Asked for a oil change and was told would take about a hr. A hr and half later asked about the status and some guy named Cliff gave some excuse that they were busy but I was the only customer waiting. Asked for a second time and same guy Cliff was extremely rude and told me to leave if I wasn't happy with the waiting time and service. I had to remind him I'm the customer and he doesn't have to take that kinda tone with the person that is requesting a simple oil change. Def won't be coming back and making sure no friends and family will ever step foot on that place again. Waiting is 1 thing but when the employee is rude to the customer is a completely different situation. I had a oil change there and one day after i had oil spilled on the car engine plus smoke was coming out of the engine ! Toke the car back there to see what happened and the car had to stay there for 24 hours so they would try to figure what happened ! On the next i went to pick my car and they figured out who ever changed the oil forgot to close the oil cap ! After all i had to take my car to a car wash to wash out the oil on the engine because they did not clean it ! Probably i wont get back there again ! read more

So, I used to take my old car here when I lived in Chelsea and I really don't think I ever had a _major_ problem. Perhaps a couple tire issues that made me wonder if it was indeed the tire or the tire-putter-on-er that was the cause of said issue. Anyway. On to new (used) car. So, I gave them a call just to see how busy they were. I mean, it was my only day off for a while so I wanted to get this shit taken care of, but not if it was going to take all fucking day. They said they weren't busy at all. No wait. I go right down there and the man at the service desk tells me it's going to be at least an hour before they can look at my car. UGHHHHHHHHH. But whatever, that's fine. An hour isn't that bad. I'm not a princess. An hour goes by, then two... I go to see if they even looked at my car. Nope! They say I'm next or something. Another hour. Nothing. I mean, I'm already in it for this long so I feel stupid leaving now. But no lie, I was seriously there for 7+ hours. So much for my day off. I did my shift at fucking Pep Boys. So, about the car: now, let me tell you that the car was running fine. The brakes were getting a tiny bit squeaky, but no brake light on or anything. Really, since I just got the car a couple months ago I kind of wanted to keep up with it. The woman I purchased the car from had the front brakes completely replaced 4 months earlier so I figured it would be something minor. They told me my rear brakes were completely fucked. Wow, OK. What the fuck just happened?? I was sooooooooooooo pissed. I had to have my car towed since it was not drivable. Back to Pep Boys since I know it's something related to the work they did. They told me it was the brake line and had nothing to do with anything they did. K. Sooo, you didnt like, notice that when you were checking my brakes?! Whatever - more $$$ down the drain. DO NOT GO TO PEP BOYS. Yesterday morning I spent the better part of the morning looking for new tires. Since I had a flat and the tires were looking worn I opted to replace them all. Pepboys website, specficially the one located in Revere Massachsetts had Pirelli P7s about 15 dollars cheaper than anyone else and the website said they were in stock and wouldnt have to be ordered. Also I conveniently had the option of scheduling my appointment on their website which showed 6pm today as being open. I booked it, forked over my 500+ dollars via their website, and even signed up for the rewards program. I did all this at 12:15pm. I got confirmation emails that my order was placed, and that my appointment was set and to call ahead if I needed to cancel. I even got an email congratulating me on signing up for the rewards program. At 6pm yesterday got a message from Pep Boys, didn't state his name or title, but did let me know that I would need to reschedule my appointment because they didnt have enough manpower on at 6pm. They had already closed at 8 by the time I got the message but I did make sure I got up and called them as soon as they opened at 8am this morning and spoke to the receptionist for tires and told about the call and that I needed to reschedule my appointment. So she said how about 7? I said fine. Then she said "hold on let me check something". I was on hold for 8 minutes. When she came back she said that 7 would not be good because it takes over an hour to put on 4 tires. I told her that their website is the one that alloted the time, not me. Then she alluded to the real reason by saying "well if one of the earlier appointments runs longer then it makes everyone late" which means "there is no way in hell we are taking a chance on having to stay past 8pm for you buddy". Okay so she suggested 5pm. I said I was working but since I really needed the tires due to the current status of riding on a spare/donut I would leave early. (immediately typed out an email to my boss asking explaining and asking if I could leave early..it was fine that I did). Now, just 3 hours before the appointment the same person who called yesterday called again and said "this is PepBoys calling" (I'm assuming that 'PepBoys' is the manager?) and proceeded to tell me that he just checked and they dont have the tires in stock. He said he didnt know when they would arrive but that he would order them. I told him that everything that I was able to do on the website was a complete sham, from the appointment to the tires being in stock. I had to press him to tell me how long it would take for the tires to arrive. He said FOUR TO FIVE weeks. I'm assuming that NO OTHER PEP BOYS in the area has these very popular tires too? Give me a break. Did they bother to check other stores? Who knows? I dont care. You guys have lost a customer before I even became one. Digusting treatmen and sham service. I will be posting a review to as many sites as I can letting everyone know me that they should shop elsewhere for tires. read more

Last time was there waited for almost two hours because I didn't make any appointment to check the light for tire pressure. This time made an appointment for the same issue the manage told me to wait for an hour even though I made an appointment because they are busy. After waited for over an hour I checked with the manager again they still busy I told him I gotta pick up my daughter from school This dude told me it's not a cheese burger that will be ready in two minutes. Let me ask you when you guys made the appointment was this a cheese burger shop ?? who is the one who gave me the appointment?? why you guys didn't think that before that you not making a cheese burger which will be done in two minutes. 1.5 hours to do a simple oil change. I'm a 23 year old woman and maybe that's why I was told: 1) brakes needed replacement (nope, just replaced them) 2) new cabin air filter had to be installed for - wait for it - 80 bucks 3) shocks had to be replaced (actually went to another mechanic to check this out anddddd they're fine). On top of that, the people running this place are fucking rude. Never had such poor customer service. I have told all of my friends and family to stay away from these thieves. So upset with the service I received here. Got an oil change about 2 weeks ago, first time not going to my dealer, and figured it be an easy enough job to do anywhere. WRONG. Pep Boys messed up so badly, there was a hole in the oil filter causing oil to leak everywhere causing a burning smell. The oil pressure light kept going off, so when I brought my car to the dealer my engine was basically out of oil. Cost me an additional $200 but could have been so much worse. read more

I have received a call back from a great person who is the manager of the store and he managed well what happened and dealt with it in a great way. This shows that the administration of Everett Pepboys cares about customers and they will provide the best service and care they could to satisfy their costumers I would definitely recommend this store for auto-services read more

Okay, here's my story: I go there for an oil change, no problems. About 1000 miles later, my car develops a slow oil leak. I go back to Pep Boys to fix the leak and they tell me that the leak is coming from the rear of the engine and only the dealership can fix it. I take it to a dealership, and they tell me that the leak is coming from the oil filter. In other words, Pep Boys should have been able to fix it. Furthermore and more importantly, it was their fault in the first place for installing the oil filter improperly. This place may be fine for buying car parts and tools, but don't have your car serviced here. If they botch something as relatively simple as an oil change, I would hate to see what they would do with a more complicated problem. read more
