I made 8am appt for rotate and balance for 7/16/26. When I got the car back something was very wrong. I had a Dr's appointment and needed to get there. I call Mavis and said I'll be back. It was a little busy, and later in the day so I made an appointment for 8 am Saturday 7/25/26. After they finished I drove away, and the car was worse than before. Got it back and it still wasn't corrected, and they put a tire I purchased (as a spare on a 5th rim) on the wrong rim. After that, I drove away, and it was making a terrible noise. They put it it back on the lift, and said I needed Ball Joints. I wasn't comfortable with any of this, and drove away. I just had the tires balanced, and the front end inspected by Sarris in Watertown. Sarris also test drove car as well. Car rides like it did before I brought it to Mavis, smoothe as Hell. Nice try you theiving bastards..... I want my money back. Not for the spare I purchased but for the original charge for the rotate and balance on the 16th of July. And to think that I gave the tech working on my car a $20 cash tip, and he kept it. Wow read more

Mavis does a good job of helping out a customer. They helped me with a flat repair . I was on the highway at night and used a plug . I went over to Mavis the next day they removed my wheel removed all the plug and that I put on the tire to get home and install the patch . Customer service was A1 . My tire works fine. I believe I'm in good shape with the plug however, I'm a big believer in extra safety so the patch that they installed gives me a piece of mind. I was in and out quickly . read more

Mavis Tire Review I brought my car to this Mavis location for what started as a simple flat tire. I ordered a full set of new tires and an alignment. Since I noticed they also do suspension work, I asked the manager if they could install a new suspension I had recently purchased. He said yes, explaining that they just wouldn't warranty the parts since I provided them -- which is completely understandable. I agreed to the work, and was told the car would be ready the next day. The following day, they called to say their ball joint press was down and they'd have to do the job manually, so it would take an extra day. The next day, they told me they couldn't complete the ball joints at all and that I needed new upper control arms. I bought the parts myself from Advance Auto and Ubered them over. The manager promised the car would be finished the next day. When I came back, the manager told me everything was done except that the ABS light wouldn't turn off -- they might have damaged an ABS sensor and would need another day. This was the only time they apologized and covered my Uber home. The next day they said the car was ready, so I picked it up and paid. I didn't get more than 10 feet before the ABS system started violently triggering on and off. I immediately went back inside. The manager admitted again they might have damaged an ABS sensor and promised to replace it. After several more days, they replaced one sensor, but the car was still undrivable. The ABS and VSA systems would activate violently whenever I touched the brakes. Over the next several visits -- spanning roughly ten days -- they kept the car, replaced more sensors, and eventually told me the brakes just needed to be bled. I picked it up the day before a work trip, and within one minute of driving, the same issue returned. When I called, they admitted they couldn't fix the problem and promised to cover the cost if another shop repaired it after my trip. A week later, I returned and called to speak with the manager, only to find out he had quit (or been fired). The new manager, Jaleel, said he knew nothing about the agreement and refused to pay for outside repairs, insisting I bring the car back to them. So, I did -- for the fifth or sixth time. After another week, they told me it was fixed. They had replaced two more sensors and now claimed the issue was my battery (which was fine). When I went in, the new manager blamed me for all the problems, saying it was because I brought my own parts. I explained that the previous manager approved the job and that the shop had already admitted to damaging my car. He continued to argue and blame me in front of other customers, refusing to take responsibility and even refusing to give me a copy of the work performed. At that point, I took my car to the independent shop the previous manager had originally recommended -- on my own dime. That shop found multiple damaged wheel bearings and even discovered broken drill bits left inside two of them, rolling around near the wheel sensors. They said it was one of the wildest things they had ever seen. These were the original bearings, so the damage clearly came from Mavis's work. The new shop repaired everything, and the car now drives perfectly. In total, I spent nearly $4,000, went 6-7 weeks without my car, and spent hundreds more on Ubers back and forth to Mavis. Bottom line: This Mavis location -- especially under the new manager -- is completely unprofessional. The previous manager at least took accountability and tried to make things right. The new one just blamed me and refused to help. Unless you're getting something simple like a tire change, avoid this Mavis at all costs. They will lie, damage your car, and refuse responsibility. Currently Mavis corporate is doing an "investigation" into the matter. Has been 6 weeks up to this point and nothing so far I've attempted to contact the regional manger multiple times with just a response of "the investigation is on going". Their quality guarantee is questionable and this point. If you want real service from honest mechanics, go to Frank's Auto down the road. They're busy, but they know what they're doing and actually treat customers with respect. read more

NEVER GO HERE. Do not let them touch your car or you will regret it. In Aug 2025 I had my rear brakes done along with both calipers. In March I see that my pad isn't touching half of the rotor. Brought it in and all they did was replace the pad and refuse to replace the caliper OR damaged rotor. Less than a month later the same issue is happening, rotor and brought it back in for them to do nothing but gaslight me and lie that everything is fine. They wiped off the corrossion on my rotor, refused to change the rotor and caliper and swore it was fine. Less than a week later the corrosion is back and that pad is still not touching. Filed a complaint with the attorney general's office after calling Wayne who told me I need to come back in to speak to Hector who is the one who lied to me in the first place. I do not trust this company and if you do then you'll pay for it. read more

This location as well as another in NY did NOT replace my tire valves though I paid for valve replacements. I had a continual slow leak in all 4 tires after getting new tires at a Mavis in Poughkeepsie NY ( Rt 9) . I took car to Everett did not fix the issue. My car went up on lift but they did not replace the valves. They said they sealed rims and fixed valves. After spending a few hrs there, my tires all still leaked. I then went to a 3rd Mavis in Sommerville who noticed the Valves had not been replaced and took care of me. While I was there another woman came into Somerville location with the SAME ISSUE and said they wanted to charge her for a tire rod she just had replaced 3 week prior. Both of us had leaking tires after leaving Everett Ma location. Thank you Somerville Ma for picking up the slack at Everett. read more

We called for an appointment for a tire alignment. Made one, showed up on time, and were told it would be about 2-3 hours wait because there was a backlog. So my husband waited nearby, with an eye on the car in the lot. About 2 hours later a technician literally drove the car across the lot and parked it in a different spot. Did NOT take it inside the service center. Did not perform any work on it. Then Wayne told my husband it would be $100 and that it needed more work and we needed to come back in a few weeks. My husband told him that he WATCHED them drive it across the lot, and NOT take it into the service bay. Wayne then he would check with the service technician... then came back and said there had been a "miscommunication" (aka caught in a lie). Then he expected us still to pay... do yourself a favor and don't go here unless you want to pay for zero service, and wait hours for it. read more

The Maverick s Tire And battery' in Everett..I don't know where to start. First off I been going to that shop since the 90s with my dad's van and my car .When it was NTB they charged me over700$ and change for front brakes. I am a disabled mechanic. So I know the job the parts cost time it should take all the stuff they don't want you to know so they can scam you. My first break job worn out it was under warranty for NTB so I'm screwed.i tell Wayne the manager.just do it again.here is another $700.. needless to say Wayne told me my steering fluid needed to be replaced.icould not afford it.he threw in the fluid. Nice guy..next I go back for tires.now I deal with mister macho .I'm talking like a jerk because that's how I was treated like a total ass I went in for tires .my appointment was at 11pm I towed it over it was there before 11.by 4pm I got a ride over and they didn't even get started on it.2tires .7hours for 2 tires. Mounted balance.well he could not get that right. I only got 1 new valve stem instead of 2 and I wanted the white letter not showing. I got 1 new stem and no stem caps. He can't even manager his guys to do a tire job. 7 hours later I just drove off. Now a week later my brakes start grinding.i say ok it should be warranty under mavis. I never had to change brakes so many times in one car . So I make the appointment for a brake job. Again I had a 11 appointment.they called at 1030am to see if I was coming. I made it there at 11 as I was supposed to..I waited 5 hours and they didn't even look at it. I got pissed off.i am disabled. I need 2 hip replacement and 2knees and back surgery. So all the waiting stinks.,.I went in the lobby area Wayne and spike was in there. He said my whole frontend may need replacement. I said fix it all.. called his bluff..a mechanic dream.just fix everything. I was waiting for the bomb to drop. Spike calls me into the lobby. Says they can't do it . His mechanic did it twice already.. when said you need to press a bearing. His guy can't do that. He was trying to get a rize out of me so he can through me out. The day before.i told him about one of my disability and he tried using it against me. So they send me to the saugus shop .I was pissed. Now I had no car for 4th of July weekend. He ruined it on purpose.thats how good a manager he is . He stated . ,"Sending you to saugus shop so if it doesn't get fixed right I don't want you coming back complaining " all I asked is why my Brakes failed and there should be a warranty. What's he do torcher me for days over charge for crap work.i went to saugus and got my brakes done. They went above and beyond the service I expected. They are a way better shop.the atmosphere is even better.i didn't feel down and just the feeling of dread. If you go to Everett be prepared for over charge crap work. I would like to give 0 star to this store. About a month ago I was There to get the tires rotation. I have a mazda CX 30 and they took my cargo cover out and didn't put it back. When I realised I came back to the store to get my cargo cover back but they told me it wasn't there. The manager tried to help me nice guy but his superiors didn't autorize him to pay for my loss in their store. I'll never come back in this store again and if you go there pay attention on your belongs. Horrible experience that costed me $200. read more

I am unsure about some of the reviews I am seeing, but I have had great service at Mavis in Everett. Somehow, my car has been picking up nails in the tires. I had two in the same time in week. When my tire showed a leak after the repair I was questioning the service I had received. I couldn't have been more wrong. Horrible. I visited this store in November 2020 to get 4 new tires (Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring) on my car. My appointment was at 3pm. I arrived approximately 5 minutes before my appointment time. Went inside and saw one employee walking around without a mask on - didn't have it in hand, nor anywhere to be seen. I went to the counter to tell them I was there for my appointment and was told that "it takes about 45 minutes before we take your car in" and that "this will take about 2 to 2 1/2 hours." They finally took it in an hour later. Every time I checked on my car no one was around it or to be found. The whole time I was there there were no more than 3 customers waiting. At one point the man at the front desk told me they were doing one more balance and it would be done shortly - then it still wasn't ready for another 30+ minutes. I didn't end up getting out of there until nearly 6pm. I have never experienced tire service taking as long as this did and never have I been told it would take an estimated 2.5+ hours. Just to put on new tires! The next day I called to confirm the store number of 1135 and inquired if I needed an appointment to have the lugnuts tightened after 25 miles or if I could just stop by. The person on the phone stated I didn't need an appointment, but it would take at least half an hour because they need to balance the tires again twice. That same day I walked around the car checking my tires and discovered that not one of the four valve stems had a cap on it. And on top of that I saw that my hubcabs have been extremely scratched up and damaged. They did NOT come into the shop in that condition. I complained via their website and a "ticket" was opened, I followed up 3 times, and no one ever responded or offered to assist in any way. Last week (since I got the tires there, the tire rotations are free) I had an appointment for a tire rotation, brought my car in at that time, and was asked if I was coming back later, because I'd have to wait for "4-6 hours' worth of appointments before you." I went there because I had an APPOINTMENT, that's the point. So I ended up leaving not getting a tire rotation. I plan on taking my business elsewhere. I'd rather end up paying for my tire rotations than ever going back to this place. Avoid at all costs. Find a mom and pop store where they actually abide by schedules and treat you well! read more

I brought my car to Mavis for a new set of tires, and a few days later I noticed that one of my lug nuts had snapped off the wheel. The manager, Melo, offered to drill it out free of charge without question. When the job turned out to require a new wheel bearing, he took care of that too. He suggested that a component was necessary was necessary to be included in his assessment, but it turns out that when I did more research, that was not the case. I feel exploited. The facility also looks very run down. And also it does not look professional when your crew is resting and smoking outside, while I wait for a long time inside. Went in because my tires had a leak around the seal, people seemed very nice so I was excited for their help. They overfilled my tires, reshaped the rim so now my car vibrates uncontrollably, and didn't align the tires after rotating them. A day later one of my tires popped after not going over any potholes, glass, or anything sharp. read more

I had a flat tire due to a finish nail in the tread. The manager told me they were busy, and they were. It was a Saturday. He told me he may not get to it until tomorrow. I left the tire and picked it up the next day. $25 to fix and put back on the car. That seems like a good deal these days. I even got some free brake advise from the tech.
