We hadn't been here in a while so when we came in they have redone the inside. The menu has been moved to above the registers and the soda machine is on the opposite side of wall it used to be on and they have all new booths. It was a much needed upgrade and looks and functions much better We ordered quickly and our food was brought out to us at our table. Only took a few mins to get the food and it was all hot and fresh. There plenty of extra meat on the Ruben and the cheesesteak. Fries were hot and crispy. Cheese sauce is new and there's nothing special about it. Definitely one of my favorite sub places. read more

A bunch of kids just playing around behind the counter! We were ignored when we walked in than rushed to order. They were all running back and forth flaking and hiding in the back. It took 20 minutes with no one else in the store to get some nasty sandwiches and burnt fries. Just terrible overall. There was more stuff messing off than doing their job. The restaurant is relatively clean but we won't be returning. We both have been sick from this place. Just disgusting. Train your employees and teach them to do a job rather than be running around and playing behind a counter. When it takes over 20 minutes to get 2 sandwich's that tasted terrible I think that seals the deal. I would take your money elsewhere. ( date of visit 2/18/26) read more

I ordered for delivery and I was happy to see they offered snack-size options for sandwiches in addition to the regular small, medium, and large sizes. I had the create your own Dagwood and it was delicious. I'm not sure if I like fries with a cold sandwich, but they were crispy and fresh. The packaging was a little messy but that can always happen during the delivery too. I'd definitely order again. read more

Excellent. The guys behind the counter were very friendly and made my food fresh. I got Club Sandwich which was toasted on a French roll and grilled in front of me with meat and cheese and then topped with lettuce and tomatoes. Their fries are awesome. Made from fresh potatoes (cut right in front of us) and then fried in peanut oil! They are awesome and piled high in their package. The place feels like a typical clean booth-heavy counter service restaurant. Even though they make it for you on the spot, the wait never seems to be too long. read more

This is my penn station location, come here a lot. I knew during covid they have had late hours compared to a lot of other "fast food" places, open till 10pm. I wanted to write this review regarding the awesome staff, that not only is awesome all the time, but especially awesome this last trip in. I came in lastnight after a vball game and it was about 5 till close. I already didn't want to be that person but also was hungry and knew that was one of the better options that were still open late. I came in and noticed they were already cleaning the grills and I asked if they would take another order and it was totally their call. A gentleman (that I wish i got his name) said to write down my name and a sandwich order and I could come in tomorrow (today) to get the sandwich for free. I came in today and everyone was on the same page and was expecting me. I gave the nice girl my order for the free sandwich and told her I wanted to add a few more things on to my order for someone else. She took that info too. I went to pay for the additional stuff outside of the free sandwich and she said that they were covering it all. I was not expecting that and kept asking if she was sure. I didn't think to get her name, but the ticket said Haley. I think it's incredibly ironic since that is also my name. That snack was not big enough to feed a gnat. It had a teaspoon of meat, a splash of mayo, 2 banana peppers and 0 mushrooms. The small fry was old cold and full of crumbs. I am angry and disgusted. We were passing through Indianapolis and decided to stop in and grab lunch. This location seemed well organized with pick up and delivery orders. There are designated parking spots for pick up orders. There was a greeter at the door asking if you want to dine in or pick up your order. Employees seemed to have great team work and a system that flowed smoothly. Our order was brought out to us and not just shouted out and left on the counter. I've been visiting this Penn station off of Emerson Ave and Southport Rd. for years. The service is always relatively fast and friendly. I typically always order the same deal, a 6 in. to 8 in. grilled Italian sandwich with no tomatoes with a small fry. It's my favorite meal here by far. My husband generally always gets the same meal, a Rueben, which he normally orders as a large. The have plenty of available tables (booths, high chairs, etc.). The bathrooms are located in the back of the store and cleaned hourly. They also have a fountain machine along with unsweet and sweet tea. read more

Totally understand messing up an order. But when they mess up an order they argue and and give you excuses it's unheard of. Horrible customer service from the manager herself. This place is always hit or miss for me. The food is generally pretty solid. Sometimes the fries are a little cold or floppy, or seem over-cooked, but I'm always happy with my sandwich. The issue I have is this particular location's decorum. On more than a rare occasion, employees have done something that I consider an egregious breach of etiquette, sometimes on the order of causing me to lose my appetite. Employees have had positively cruel conversations towards each other in front of a line. I saw them jam a tv remote into the ice chute to prop it open so that a mop bucket perched on the soda fountain surface could fill with ice, again in front of customers. I've seen a number of staff apparently on some sort of date while a single person took orders, made food, and rang in customers. Those are the worst. Typically they're just a little too obviously unhappy to be there, which I can understand, I suppose. I can certainly get past it and enjoy my meal. But the few times my stomach has been turned by a few poor representatives of the company have encouraged me to choose other locations. One thing I will say for them is that they're generally very clean and the good employees are great employees. It seems while many places are fairly even keeled, this place rides the crests and troughs of waves...that seafaring metaphor fell apart a little, but I think my point has been made. If you come here, get it to go, and be happy with your sandwich, a consistently yummy task. read more

I love this location of Penn Station! The people are very nice. we have never had bad service at this location. It is Convenient, has plenty of parking space, close to a lot of other stores in case you wanted to grab a sandwich and continue to shop or run errands. They even have a few flat screens to watch sports or the news or whatever is on. Very great fries and steaks. I normally get the philly cheesesteak as that's what they are known and I love it - mostly the cooked mushrooms, but this past time I opted for the artichoke sandwich as I love artichokes and always wanted to try it. I ordered it with mushrooms, it came with cheese, and i asked for mayo and lettuce as well. DELICIOUS! I highly recommend even if you are not a vegetarian! read more

Had an okay experience when I visited here. When we gave the cashier our name to put in the system she misspelled it. It didn't affect the order but it was a error. We waited a moderate amount of time and eventually received our meal. Overall it was a pleasant experience but nothing wow'd me. The layout is horrible (I can only imagine the amount of money you waste on air conditioning and heating) with the way the order line is placed at the front door, you have sandwiches in the same order coming out up to five minutes apart, you miss orders and then act like buffoons when you can't find it. This was horrible... Penn Station isn't cheap when you're buying multiple sandwiches. So imagine my disappointment when my steak had close to no cheese when I ordered extra.
