Shawarma
Shahd A.

At first, I was so excited and the food looked good thru the glass. I came in to get the golden balance shawarma. They were out of stock, then we came back later for it and it was the BIGGEST disappointment :/ Here are the pictures and u can see for urself. It was so dry and nothing was inside but chicken and pickles. We asked if it had garlic sauce they said yes it does. (No a glimpse of garlic sauce was spotted. We remained nice and asked to buy extra garlic sauce, they said it's 0.50 and they'll only take cash... we don't carry cash, so they refused to give it to us and it was just humiliating, we got up to leave then the girl went to her manager and gave us only one (we were two ppl). While eating there I saw customers ordering and the staff was on their phone AT THE SAME time as making the bowl, that's just so unhygienic and unprofessional. Worst experience honestly and the shawarma was bad. I'm so disappointed.

The food here is fast, delicious, and customizable! It is similar to a Chipotle style of a build your own platter. The platter is fairly large and they load it up. The flavors are amazing. Mine was covered in what seemed like a lot of sauce, but it ended up being the perfect amount. There are drinks available in the cooler and baklava for dessert. The staff are super friendly and helpful with figuring out what you should add to your meal based on the flavor you want. The dining area is very simple and typical for a strip mall restaurant. This restaurant is a great addition to the area and I'll definitely be back!

This was our first (but not last) time having Turkish food. We were pleased that they offered vegan…read moreand gluten free options due to our allergies. We ordered a guvec and Turkish delight. Both were delicious and well portioned. The guvec (veggie casserole) had eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, carrots, and other veggies plus rice and a small salad. The delight had carrots, eggplant, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, served on top of hummus and walnuts. The food was delivered quickly given the restaurant was full on a Friday night. Good thing we made reservations, which we will do again when we return.

The entire place is covered with the evil eye charms, so you should definitely be safe here. I highly recommend reservations because they sure get busy. And while the ambiance is great, you really cannot linger for long, as there are usually folks waiting to get a seat. The menu is quite extensive and offers plenty for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I opted for the Iskender, which is crisp pita bread pieces topped with meat slices, all of it doused in a savory tomato based sauce and topped with dollops of yoghurt. The bread has little crisp edges and together with the meat and toppings gives you like a mini sandwich in your mouth. Simply delicious. The Turkish spices bring a wonderful flavor to the dish. I highly recommend it. Hat to admit it, but I have not been too impressed with the tzaziki on previous visits. It was somewhat runny and bland, but I haven't had in a while. Street parking is limited, but in the summer there is a gravel lot on the side of the neighboring building. However when it snows, parking can be a bit of a problem, so be aware.

We're always looking for good Greek food in Indianapolis and noticed this spot while eating…read moresomewhere nearby, so we decided to make a trip back downtown for it at a later time. Located in a cute blue house, this is conveniently located near Lucas Oil Stadium and there was a huge concert going on the night we were there, but we were still allowed to park in their parking area. Inside has nice lighting and is pretty plain but has a homey feel. The menu contains many items we're familiar with having visited Greece twice. So I'm going to be a little critical here with my review of the food. I ordered the Greek Spaghetti, which I have had in Greece. Unfortunately this was not at all what I was expecting or anything like Greek spaghetti. What I was served was basically Prego spaghetti sauce with pieces of gyro in it. Traditional Greek spaghetti (or Makaronia me Kima) is a wonderful sauce that's seasoned with all kinds of memorable spices. It's definitely not pieces of gyro meat thrown in a sauce. So while this was fine, it was not what I truly wanted or thought I was getting so I was pretty disappointed. My husband got the chicken souvlaki and that was better but still not quite like what I remember. The meat was almost smoked and lacked some of the Greek spices that gives it a distinct taste. And the tzatziki...well, let's just say it tastes like whipped feta and was lacking in flavor too. I did enjoy the pita bread. Our service was underwhelming as well. It took a while for anyone to notice we were there and needed to be seated and the server basically did the bare minimum, never even asking if we wanted our water refilled. Overall, it was fine. If I had never been to Greece, I may have a different opinion but this isn't someplace I really want to go back to.
