Got a quick lunch from Penn Station recently. True to their name, they serve up a good Philly for a "fast food" spot. They were definitely understaffed, as the food took a while to come out, but it was nice to know it was made to order and not just microwaved. The two workers were friendly and quick to answer any menu question. Would go again.

I orders the create your own Dagwood and they didn't have hardly any lettuce, banana peppers or turkey. I don't mind paying almost $17 for a sub, but not when the person preparing my sub thought that this small piece of turkey is called a portion of turkey. Please build sandwiches like you care about your customer. I will not spend my Money here ever again.

Terrible Experience. It looked like they weren't able to keep up with just two workers. Lady doing the most work was frazzled and on edge. She kept correcting folks in line: "don't lean on the counter", "don't grab your own plate", etc. The place was dirty. Long lines and upset customers. I placed mine and my co-worker's order at 12:13pm. We waited and waited. Finally, I walked back over to check on my order. They had mid-placed it. So, they began again and then unfortunately they got our orders wrong. We just took what they gave us at that point, which was less food for what we actually paid for (got our food at 1pm). We had to eat really fast and we're late arriving back at work. Wouldn't recommend going to this place again in its current state.

Ordered lunch and waited 20 minutes for my food and I was the only customer. I only ordered a small fry and small rueben. Once I got back to the office the fries were not done. They were barely cooked. Zephaniah took my order & cooked my food. Very disappointed. I will not be back.

A mediocre sub at best. I ordered the cheesesteak. I was not impressed at all. After paying $14 dollars I was expecting greatness, however after the first bite I was highly disappointed. Very dull on the flavor side of things. For the price here one would expect greatness, it is far from that. Fries were decent. On a positive note the sweet tea was sweet and the ice cubes were cold. Not sure that I'd go back.

After arriving in Greensboro after a terrible traveling experience (missing our flight because of a delay), we were absolutely starving but we needed to get to work so we were trying to find something quick on our way to high point. Not knowing the area and not wanting to venture off of our path to where we were going, we saw this pace and just stopped. I wish we didn't. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries and my friend ordered the chicken club. My philly was dry, you know that kind of dry where you can choke on the dryness or the bread? Yeah that kind of dry. It was not flavorful at all. A philly is supposed to melt in your mouth not try and choke you. The fries were really good though which is what I'm giving two stars for. I should have known better when the parking lot was empty but we were too hungry to care. Both of us got such bad stomach aches after we ate this that we had to stop at CVS and get tums and pepto and all that good stuff. We literally felt sick for the rest of the day - which is not fun when you have to walk around for hours looking at furniture etc. maybe they were just having an off day? Who knows. I just know I would never go back.

This place has the best subs. We love the chicken teriyaki with banana peppers. They also have great french fries. They have a good crowd at lunch time. You may have to wait a few minutes but it is worth waiting for.

Great casual atmosphere, the staff have really come into their own, and the food is simple but has little touches that often make it a small cut above most other sports bar type places around. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. Steep it a little longer, and you've got me fully hooked.

We loved their homemade dressings. Service: Our server was great! Attentive, kind, and offered to let us taste test. She also was helpful in her descriptions and recommendations. However, our experience fell short upon arrival. The hostess said they don't have a table for 5 but we could add a chair to a 4 top. And when I said that's not a comfortable or reasonable set up for 5 people and asked if we could push two tables together, she seemed annoyed. Who thinks it's acceptable for a party of 5 to sit someone at the corner point of a 4 top table when there are open tables all around? Management advice: If this is truly your approach, I'd recommend you rethink that logic. This is basic hospitality.

They make a lot of their sides from scratch, and bake their own breads. Everything is made to order, so be ready for a short wait, but know that it is worth it. To get here, once you're on Airpark road, take your second right. If you hit the traffic circle you've gone too far. After taking that right, drive to the end of the straightaway and you'll be confronted with a large parking lot on the right. Spring Garden Bakery is in the back right corner. The restaurant is clean. Minimally appointed. Don't expect comfy chairs, they use the industrial grade metal ones. No one is staying here very long so that is fine. Menus are on the counter as you approach the register, and photos are on Yelp if you want to look first. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and daily specials. Drinks are either brewed tea, or canned/bottled beverages. I have grown particularly fond of their club sandwich. It comes with a lot of meat on it, and they're happy to sub in Honey Mustard for mayo, which is the way I prefer it. Another thing that I love here, when they have fried okra, GO FOR IT. It appears to be hand-breaded and fried to order, the most recent batch I had was perfect. Golden brown, crispy outside, tender okra inside. Yum. A couple of family members joined us there. Both ordered plates of shrimp and grits and enjoyed them, as well as two side dishes that accompanied the entrees -- especially the deep fried "blooming " onion. Although my order of Greek salad was fresh and tasty, the added chicken proved tough and gristly. (However, it could have simply been a bad day for grilled chicken.) My husband, who is currently undergoing cancer treatments, ordered several dishes of vegetables but was feeling so badly when our meals arrived, he was unable to eat. This is when Cagney's began to shine -- service. Service is near the top of our review checklist, and can make or break any dining experience. Our waitress, Chloe, was (and, I believe, is) gold. Although a busy evening with a "full house," she waited on us quickly, got our order straight on the first try and updated us twice on one item coming out of the kitchen a few minutes after everything else. She checked on us from time to time and noticed my husband's fading energy. She noticed that he left the restaurant to relax in the car while we finished our meal. She asked if I might like to take his meal, which remained untouched, with me. When she returned with the take-home container, she had written a personal message on the lid and offered kind words and a warm hug for me. The next day, my husband asked me to warm his leftover meal so that he could have it for lunch. He said it was delicious. That alone is worth a great review. Add in Chloe, and dining at Cagney's was stellar.

Hands down, they have the BEST sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. The biscuit itself is perfect--soft, buttery, and consistent every single time. Whatever they're doing, they should never change that recipe. The sausage is super flavorful, and they give you two patties. At first, it feels like it might be too much... but somehow, by the end, it's exactly the right amount (because yes, I finish it every time). I always add strawberry jelly, and that sweet-and-savory combo with the salty sausage, melty American cheese, fluffy eggs, and buttery biscuit is just chef's kiss. 10/10. This is my go-to order, and I will always recommend their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit.

Our visit 28 SEP @ 19945 (After the Wake Forest football game)…read more Let me start with there is nothing wrong with this place. There are thousands of these strip mall, multi cuisine fast food counter service restuarants. They fill a key slot in the dining industry. We were hungry, we got meals, we ate every bite. I am however not sure about the five-star rating. I suspect the two raters prior to me are very nice guys. My wife found the Google entry and there are 367 reviews (avg. 4.2). I went and read some of the reviews. I think its a case of grade inflation, peoples score they choose does not match their description of their experience. I lay all that out there because I try to be as fair, and useful as I can when I write these because I use Yelp to help me make decisions when we travel. I wouldn't want to mislead others. So this restaurant was not that far from our hotel and we wanted to get food and take it back to room and watch some more football on TV. I guess we didn't get enough at the 41-38 loss WFU suffered earlier. It is a little dark, a little run down, but seemed clean as far as I could tell. There were no weird smells, just fryer grease and roasted chicken and pizza. My wife got an Italian sub, no ham, no cappacola, just salami and cheese (she's a toddler sometimes). Sort of half expected them to add a bit more salami to round out her sandwich, they didn't. I got a rotisserie chicken sub. It was okay, the chicken tasted good but there wasn't much of it. We both got fries and they were pretty decent (a little steamed because there were no holes poked in the styrofoam containers (most places know that trick). Our meals ran us $24, about what things cost these days, but not quite the value for what we got. Like I said, it was okay, we ate it all and were happy to have a meal. I'm not sure we would be regulars if we were local, while this place is okay, I suspect there are a few slightly better places in the area.

It is the only true Roman Style locally, that we enjoy. It is always, very thin and crispy, which we love. The sauce is not too sweet, which we prefer. So many local pizzas are far too sweet for us. What really sets it apart is the mozzarella cheese they use. It has good flavor and the right amount of saltiness. Our biggest complaint about most local pizzerias, is the tasteless, rubbery cheese they use. We have yet to try any of the toppings, since the plain cheese is so good. Most reviews are years old. Here's to hoping this review helps! This place really deserves more attention. It is in an industrial park and not easy to see. The restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of parking spaces, but you can park in the large lot in front or behind and take a short walk. The first thing I noticed was the diversity of patrons. That's always a good sign. The lady at the counter greeted me with a cheerful smile and I could tell she knew a lot of the regulars and their orders as they came to the counter. The gentleman who brought my food out to me was very pleasant and engaged me in conversation. I tried the turkey Reuben with fries today. I give it 4 stars due to lack of meat. It had great flavor, but was loaded with sauerkraut and a thin slice of turkey. The fries were a little underdone for my liking but they weren't bad. From looking around the small dining area, I could see this was consistent with other patrons and the sandwiches they had on their plates, not a lot of meat. I will add this place to my lunch rotation now. I look forward to trying the other meals and being able to review some of those.
