For a place that never looks like it's busy, it always seems busy. Majority of the time there is still a wait, even though you've ordered ahead on the app. The times when the food was actually ready, no one really seems to ask/greet or say what you're there for - so food just sits. I really like their subs in general but may not go back to this location. The last time I picked up an order (still waited) I noticed the employee wasn't using gloves (I know many restaurants don't but mostly sandwich shops like these do). I had just remembered she was counting money when I walked in but don't remember if I saw her washing her hands in between or not.

Got a quick lunch from Penn Station recently. True to their name, they serve up a good Philly for a "fast food" spot. They were definitely understaffed, as the food took a while to come out, but it was nice to know it was made to order and not just microwaved. The two workers were friendly and quick to answer any menu question. Would go again.

I orders the create your own Dagwood and they didn't have hardly any lettuce, banana peppers or turkey. I don't mind paying almost $17 for a sub, but not when the person preparing my sub thought that this small piece of turkey is called a portion of turkey. Please build sandwiches like you care about your customer. I will not spend my Money here ever again.

Terrible Experience. It looked like they weren't able to keep up with just two workers. Lady doing the most work was frazzled and on edge. She kept correcting folks in line: "don't lean on the counter", "don't grab your own plate", etc. The place was dirty. Long lines and upset customers. I placed mine and my co-worker's order at 12:13pm. We waited and waited. Finally, I walked back over to check on my order. They had mid-placed it. So, they began again and then unfortunately they got our orders wrong. We just took what they gave us at that point, which was less food for what we actually paid for (got our food at 1pm). We had to eat really fast and we're late arriving back at work. Wouldn't recommend going to this place again in its current state.

Ordered lunch and waited 20 minutes for my food and I was the only customer. I only ordered a small fry and small rueben. Once I got back to the office the fries were not done. They were barely cooked. Zephaniah took my order & cooked my food. Very disappointed. I will not be back.

A mediocre sub at best. I ordered the cheesesteak. I was not impressed at all. After paying $14 dollars I was expecting greatness, however after the first bite I was highly disappointed. Very dull on the flavor side of things. For the price here one would expect greatness, it is far from that. Fries were decent. On a positive note the sweet tea was sweet and the ice cubes were cold. Not sure that I'd go back.

After arriving in Greensboro after a terrible traveling experience (missing our flight because of a delay), we were absolutely starving but we needed to get to work so we were trying to find something quick on our way to high point. Not knowing the area and not wanting to venture off of our path to where we were going, we saw this pace and just stopped. I wish we didn't. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries and my friend ordered the chicken club. My philly was dry, you know that kind of dry where you can choke on the dryness or the bread? Yeah that kind of dry. It was not flavorful at all. A philly is supposed to melt in your mouth not try and choke you. The fries were really good though which is what I'm giving two stars for. I should have known better when the parking lot was empty but we were too hungry to care. Both of us got such bad stomach aches after we ate this that we had to stop at CVS and get tums and pepto and all that good stuff. We literally felt sick for the rest of the day - which is not fun when you have to walk around for hours looking at furniture etc. maybe they were just having an off day? Who knows. I just know I would never go back.

It's is okay. There are decent fries hot & cold subs. You should clarify if you want your sub hot or cold because they automatically make all of them hot. There is white subs rolls. $11ish 12 inch sub. It isn't bad but in my opinion not worth $11. Maybe $7-$10 max. $11plus is just overpriced. Again, nothing was bad or extremely good everything was just Okay.

Hours are limited…read morebecause it mainly serves the industrial area that it is hidden in the middle of, but if it works for your schedule to come here, you really should. They make a lot of their sides from scratch, and bake their own breads. Everything is made to order, so be ready for a short wait, but know that it is worth it. To get here, once you're on Airpark road, take your second right. If you hit the traffic circle you've gone too far. After taking that right, drive to the end of the straightaway and you'll be confronted with a large parking lot on the right. Spring Garden Bakery is in the back right corner. The restaurant is clean. Minimally appointed. Don't expect comfy chairs, they use the industrial grade metal ones. No one is staying here very long so that is fine. Menus are on the counter as you approach the register, and photos are on Yelp if you want to look first. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, burgers, and daily specials. Drinks are either brewed tea, or canned/bottled beverages. I have grown particularly fond of their club sandwich. It comes with a lot of meat on it, and they're happy to sub in Honey Mustard for mayo, which is the way I prefer it. Another thing that I love here, when they have fried okra, GO FOR IT. It appears to be hand-breaded and fried to order, the most recent batch I had was perfect. Golden brown, crispy outside, tender okra inside. Yum. Visit this place for an excellent meal at an excellent price!

Hands down, they have the BEST sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. The biscuit itself is perfect--soft, buttery, and consistent every single time. Whatever they're doing, they should never change that recipe. The sausage is super flavorful, and they give you two patties. At first, it feels like it might be too much... but somehow, by the end, it's exactly the right amount (because yes, I finish it every time). I always add strawberry jelly, and that sweet-and-savory combo with the salty sausage, melty American cheese, fluffy eggs, and buttery biscuit is just chef's kiss. 10/10. This is my go-to order, and I will always recommend their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit.

Pretty much everything I said in my last review still totally stands. I don't get to come here as much as I used to, but it's still a place I probably go once a month. My favorite thing here is still their classic reuben. While I wouldn't call it a traditional reuben, I love the way they prepare it. Chopping together the meat and kraut on the hot flat top grill, as well as the buttered and grilled rye bread and russian dressing, it's just such a tasty sandwich all combined like that. The other thing I love here is to build my own salad, especially with their pesto grilled chicken. It's always tender, and matches great with their balsamic vinaigrette. You get your choice of any toppings on the sub table, and it really makes for a filling and healthy meal packed with protein. You can't go wrong here though, and the owners are some of the nicest people in Greensboro. I always have, and always will be, a Sub Spot customer!

All jokes aside, Sub Spot is a good representation of a neighborhood sandwich shop, replete with a no-frills (though clean) interior and Boar's Head meats. They may not be fancy, but they are good at what they do. I walked in craving a cheesesteak but was nearly swayed by the brisket sandwich listed as a special. Had I not known what I wanted, I would have had plenty to choose from: hot and cold sandwiches, salads, wings, kebabs, and more. They will let you customize toppings a la Subway (I added peppers, onions, and chipotle sauce), and they completed my order for takeout very quickly. Much like Jersey Mike's, Sub Spot serves up a far better cheesesteak than you'd expect at first glance. The bread was soft, the cheese melty, the meat and veggies savory and satisfying (and none too greasy). If you're accustomed to a sandwich stuffed to the gills with meat, you might be disappointed, but I didn't find the quantity to be too paltry. Given what's nearby, Sub Spot probably wouldn't be my first choice for lunch in the area, but it is convenient, reasonably priced, and tasty, a solid option all around.

There are thousands of these strip mall, multi cuisine fast food counter service restuarants. They fill a key slot in the dining industry. We were hungry, we got meals, we ate every bite. I am however not sure about the five-star rating. I suspect the two raters prior to me are very nice guys. My wife found the Google entry and there are 367 reviews (avg. 4.2). I went and read some of the reviews. I think its a case of grade inflation, peoples score they choose does not match their description of their experience. I lay all that out there because I try to be as fair, and useful as I can when I write these because I use Yelp to help me make decisions when we travel. I wouldn't want to mislead others. So this restaurant was not that far from our hotel and we wanted to get food and take it back to room and watch some more football on TV. I guess we didn't get enough at the 41-38 loss WFU suffered earlier. It is a little dark, a little run down, but seemed clean as far as I could tell. There were no weird smells, just fryer grease and roasted chicken and pizza. My wife got an Italian sub, no ham, no cappacola, just salami and cheese (she's a toddler sometimes). Sort of half expected them to add a bit more salami to round out her sandwich, they didn't. I got a rotisserie chicken sub. It was okay, the chicken tasted good but there wasn't much of it. We both got fries and they were pretty decent (a little steamed because there were no holes poked in the styrofoam containers (most places know that trick). Our meals ran us $24, about what things cost these days, but not quite the value for what we got. Like I said, it was okay, we ate it all and were happy to have a meal. I'm not sure we would be regulars if we were local, while this place is okay, I suspect there are a few slightly better places in the area.
