Mark and his team are outstanding. Did the full wiring for my new home construction. I had originally gone overboard on what I had planned and he helped scale back the work to only things that would actually help and be beneficial for home security (ie, I dont need sensors on non-operable windows on the second floor, dont need motion sensors EVERYWHERE, etc etc). We've been using Peninsula Security for about 5 years now. We found them after realizing out that our previous alarm from a big company was not only installed poorly, it was still registered to our old address (we found that out when it went off and the police never came). Peninsula came in, redid the install, fixed some sensors that were misplaced and upgraded a few components. Then registered it to their monitoring service. (We are using Alarm.com as well). We're 5 years in to using their system and monitoring and have only used them for routine maintenance calls or add-ons. Everything has stayed in perfect working order. Ours is an older system and we have since replace the battery ourselves without any problems. Recently I had a different problem and Janelle and Mark were very helpful and immediately responsive. The problem was on my end and they went above and beyond help figure out a solution, to include loaning me diagnostic equipment. A nice gentleman just left our office about 10 minutes ago. We are so happy with Peninsula Security's customer service they deserve a cyber-high-five! They came out for a quick change in our system and I asked him about 2 other things. He had both maintenance items (like our showroom door beeping) fixed in 10 minutes. I wanted to give this guy a big hug for being so easy to work with. We have used Peninsula Security for over 10 years now. Every time we have a weird problem (2 months ago a power outage and the alarms were going nuts) and have called them, they have been polite, helpful and have resolved our issues in a timely manner. Of all the home security options that have become available in recent years, we're glad to have had Peninsula Security for many years. I'm so pleased with the customer service they provide. I've become accustomed to impersonal service in general so when I've ever called with a question, I'm always pleasantly surprised to be treated like a friend. Janelle goes above and beyond to insure that our system is working properly when I've ever had issues (local cell coverage interruptions, etc). She is thoughtful, helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I've recently had the pleasure of meeting the owner Mark who educated me on the equipment (originally installed by another provider) and not only replaced a malfunctioning sensor, but upgraded our alarm.com equipment and removed and inspected motion detectors. There's no point in having all of this equipment if it isn't working properly so I'm not sure why I didn't call them sooner. I've known Mark for years and believe he is one of the most honest in the business. I read a review from someone else(Gary Putz or some such name) about a service call that his wife had requested and that they got charged for. Gotta tell you dude, nothing is free especially when you have called for service. Do you get free service when you call for repairs on your washing machine or air conditioning? Of course you don't (unless you expect everyone should work for free). And when it's a phone line that's not even related to the alarm then why on God's green earth should Mark take responsibility for that? Oh ya, so you think they should eat the battery charge since the tech. that came out didn't spell out in CAPITAL letters there might be a charge for that-well again Mark couldn't give you the kind of service that you expect if he gave things away!!!!!(guess when you go to the doctor and he charges you $15 for an extra Q-tip that he had to use on you without quoting you first you also whine) Regardless, my own experience with Peninsula Security has been great and I truly believe that their practices and business ethics are hard to match. read more
