Good location, easy parking, nice people working here. Diner type menu, not my favorite ambiance, so while the food was ok, don't see any reason for me to return. Mainly, cause I can make better eggs at home. We came for breakfast, but I can use the same logic for sandwiches. If I'm going out, I will go more upscale... I guess I'm not a diner person. But those who were there seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Incredible classic diner in the area! It gives you a welcoming and casual vibe the moment you walk in. We were sat immediately even with it being Sunday, which I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is full of all your classic breakfast options, along with a few choices to add even more flavor to a simple dish. I ordered the Peaches & Cream Waffle. It was incredible! Not only was the waffle giant, fluffy, and flavorful all by itself, but the homemade whipped cream and warm fresh peach slices on top made this dish so satisfying. It felt like a comforting reminder of a homemade meal that had care in the kitchen. It was very filling too with at least a whole peach sliced on the plate. It honestly didnt need maple syrup, but the syrup was delicious too and didnt make the waffle too sugary. Definitely recommend stopping here to treat yourself to breakfast!

I have been coming here for a while now, with a visit at least every other month. Staff is always amazing and service is always great. Food has never once disappointed me, always delicious flavor! A great diner to visit for quick delicious food

We had a wonderful lunch here. Service was good and so was the food. This "diner" restaurant serves breakfast and lunch now. They used to also serve dinner but cut back hours and changed the menu a bit after covid. My husband opted to have a breakfast dish -- the waffle combo and added sausages. He said it was great. His waffle was pretty large -- taking up the entire plate. The waffle was light and airy. He got scrambled eggs which came on a separate plate. They were fluffy. And he added sausage links which they did well done per his request. They gave him two syrups from which to choose -- one was sugar free. He used the regular maple syrup pretty liberally (he likes to fill all the waffles holes, eek!). I debated between a sandwich and a salad and chose the salad. The fatoush salad was excellent. It had a grilled chicken breast on top that was cut into strips. The salad itself had chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, and crispy pita chips mixed throughout. It also had a very compatible seasoned dressing on everything. It was a delicious and way too large portion. I took about a third home for later. Forgot to say that I added a side of well-done french fries. I was curious about the middle eastern dishes listed on the menu, so I asked. The family is Lebanese. They had more of these items on the menu when they used to serve dinner. And they are house made. Can't wait to come back and try their shawarma or their hummus among others. It's a diner with an "extra benefit" as I love middle eastern cuisine. Oh, and PS: There is an actual person, Penelope. I asked about that, too. If you look closely at my inside tables photo, you'll see a little girl. That's Penelope.

My daughter and I were in the mood for diner food so I Googled some of the top rated diners that were on our home and stumbled across Penelope's. We were greeted and seated immediately as we walked in and the establishment was clean, decor is well, what you would expect from a typical diner setting. Our food came out quickly and they catered to me with an item that they don't typically sell Al La carte, a potato pancake. I'm glad they did because it was pretty amazing and was told they make it in house. They do have a potato pancake Benedict item that sounds really good but I was more in the mood for a simple turkey club at the time, but I know what Im getting next time. Overall, food and service was fantastic, and price is fair. They were all super friendly and attentive, ended up finding out they're family owned and ran. You could tell they're proud of what they're doing. Definitely recommended and to support your local small business!

OMG!!!! Hands down one of the best diners I have been to in a very long time, the current review is inaccurate. I'm sorry about it putting a before picture of food haha but it was delicious and the OJ is fresh squeezed so amazing. The syrup is warm and yummy. The service is great Ava was an amazing Waitress and I also love the vibe in this little cozy place, definitely family owned and worth it to come and eat here. My wife enjoyed it all as well . Will be coming more and more. Especially with being 5. Minutes away. The hours are perfect 8-3 as a diner like this should be. PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT.

Great for breakfast and lunch. My omlette was stuffed and enough for 2! The tuna melt included caramelized onions, yummy. The lamb/pita was a little less than expected but seemed high quality and tasted great. Food comes out fast and together. We had to request ice tea refills. The place always seems clean.

    Biscuits and gravy, no sausage!

I ordered biscuit and gravy, but they put NO SAUSAGE in the gravy. It's tasteless. Very disappointed, hungry but have no idea how to make this palatable.

Looking for a late night bite, we met family here and sat in the main dining room next to the crazy busy bar. Seems like a pick up spot for twenty-something people but soon realized that the bar action was second to the food. The server had a vibrant personality and told us the burgers were the specialty of the place. The smash cheese burger was on my table within ten minutes and was small but packed lots of flavor with gooey cheese. The sweet potato fries were plentiful and delish. My pet peeve is when restaurants serve a burger with a cold piece of cheese on top, not the case here. Others at the table got the regular burgers which were larger but not as flavorful. The tower of onion rings were impressively oversized with a crispy shell. Extremely loud inside so to converse with others was a challenge but if you want a good meal try this place.

This place definitely stays busy and clearly for good reason, they run it right. There's a ton of staff, so you never feel stuck waiting for a drink or service. Everything moved fast and smoothly, especially for a prime time crowd. We had a couple of drinks and shared an appetizer. The mac and cheese balls were super yummy, perfectly crunchy on the outside, warm and cheesy inside, and exactly what we needed. They really hit the spot. Overall, just a great vibe and a fun time right in the heart of the Ave. Lively, well-staffed, and consistently solid. We'll definitely be back.

There was no one available to help manually as all of the staff were in the kitchen preparing food. The food itself was a mixed experience. Our burgers were very salty, but the fries were excellent--which is really the reason this review gets three stars. Our toddler, however, loved the chicken tenders from the kids' meal. The atmosphere was another downside. The music was loud, and the TVs were playing continuous clips of people falling and injuring themselves from America's Funniest Home Videos. It was more disturbing than entertaining and took away from the dining experience. There was also a frustrating situation with drinks. My husband ordered a soda and I ordered water, but the staff gave us both soda cups. I assumed it was complimentary, so I poured a small root beer while we waited for our food. The manager came by, looked at our receipt, and I thought he was just checking our order. But when our food arrived, our toddler's apple juice--part of his kids' meal--was missing. When we asked about it, the staff member explained the manager had specifically told her not to give it to us because I had taken soda instead of water. This felt incredibly passive-aggressive and petty, especially since they gave me the soda cup in the first place and never said a word about it. I even offered to pour out the soda (which I had only taken a few sips of) so my child could have his juice. The staff member said she couldn't because the manager had instructed her not to. I asked to speak with him, but he disappeared to the back and never returned. I eventually poured out my drink, showed it to another staff member, and thankfully she gave us the juice. At no point did the manager approach us to discuss, clarify or apologize. It was very unprofessional, immature, and poor customer service overall. While a few things were enjoyable, the way the manager handled our situation left such a negative impression that we won't be returning.
