Coming in late to a Five Guys can be amazing, or awful. This was the latter. Filthy everywhere. If there was a manager in the place, they were participating in the same end of shift, I could care less, coma. One guy looked like he was going to buy his "McLovin" fake ID after shift. The second one looked like he had stepped out of hot tub Time Machine. And the third one, scarily, look like the banjo player in Deliverance. Kids over 30, ask your dads about that film. This was a visit of desperation, not appreciation. In this part of Delray Beach, Florida there are only three restaurants open.Five Guys, McDonald's and Steak 'n Shake. Y'all know this place. To me, it's a classic burger. Yes, I know they have hot dogs but the burger is why I go. Cooked to order is the right way to do things. I always mix up my burger which is easy at Five Guys: plenty of options from the classic ketchup and mustard to pickles, lettuce, and the like. Make the burger you want. They are always tasty and juicy, never a dried out puck like some places sell. And what would a visit be without the fresh fries. Get one order and you can share it with your table, no stingy fry guy here. I love the extra scope of 'bag fries' you get. It's just a thing and one of the reasons I love this place. I came in to five guys around 9 PM. Ordered fries and a burger. The fries were an embarrassment. I sent them back the first time saying I'd like them crispy and I told them I was not gonna eat it and they were really nice and offered me a free drink which I didn't take and then they did the fries again and they were undercooked. This is because the guy who's working the fries station decided to turn off the fryer oil before service is over. I love Five Guys Burgers and I come to this location because it's closest to my house. The brand is overall great but this location is average at best, They don't have milkshakes - why?! The whole brand went to milkshakes years and years ago, why does this location still not have them? Sometimes I got to the one in Boynton on Congress just to get shakes with my burgers. Burgers always good and that's most important. But the staff here is not friendly and the restaurant is always a mess, napkins on the ground, dirty tables, sticky soda machine and ketchup dispenser. It's crazy to know that Five Guys has been around since 1986. It wasn't until early 2000's they began franchising. I don't venture to five guys as much as I once did 14years ago when I lived in Bethesds, MD. Used to go religiously. It was amazing then and still today it hasn't changed and still rock solid burger. This visit I was able to order food as a walk in guest, and had the option to dine inside at one of two tables or the two outside. A couple was inside dining as mt friend and I walked inside to order. The two employees had their mask, attended us both politely, promptly and professionally. Got two double bacon cheeseburgers one for then the other for later or for the lady if she wants it. Haha. My friend got the same going all the way with toppings. Burgers were outstanding, I got to eat some of friends fries, fresh, seasoned and crispy. Next time will try Cajun fries. So I was in the mood for a burger and fries last night. I had just finished my workout (it was deadlift day) and needed some sustenance to revive me. I hadn't been to Five Guys in literally years. So I stopped at this Five Guys and ordered a classic American meal - cheeseburger with fries. The person taking the order was friendly. The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. It had a nice old-school feel to it like one of the classic burger joints from the '50s which I liked. It took a little bit longer for the food to come out than I expected (especially since I was the only customer there) but not excessively long. I am assuming they prepare everything fresh hence the additional time. I took my order to go and went home. Unfortunately, I found the burger and fries to be only average. The fries were decent but they seemed kind of dry and not especially fresh or tasty (however, they are generous with the amount of fries they give you). When you have really good fresh fries you just know it and these weren't. Again, they weren't bad just not great. The burger was about the same. It was good but nothing special. I wouldn't have known it from a Wendy's burger. All in all, I felt that Five Guys was just average. The burger and fries were average. My experience there was average. I would lump them in the same category as Wendy's as far as overall quality. Here's a great example - limited menu, no exotic requirement. Three burgers, one fries, two drinks. Fries are not custom made, just pulled from the batch made. Drinks are self-serve (just provided the cups). Burgers are made one way (well) plus the toppings. Toppings are listed in the order for the prep team. So why/how can they get it wrong? And then when you take the burger back it's no apology and they ask what do I want, they end up giving me a tin with the missing item to add to my burger. What am I tipping for? Going to stop tipping and if they take umbrage then I go elsewhere; lots of options. read more

3.5 stars. I have always felt of the burger chains these guys are the best. I also find most (not all but most) Five guys are pretty alike. I do like their burgers although as I have mentioned in other reviews of other locations, I started sometimes getting a double burger because I'd find myself still hungry after one. I generally avoid fast food these days (although I use d to love on it) but I consider Five guys to be a few steps above fast food and anyway their french fries are delicious and I will NEVER give those up. I love the inside too as it is so..for lack of a better word..cute. It really is. I find the most common complaints about Five Guys that the food takes to long but I do not usually find wait times excessive at all and even if they take a bit longer, I would rather have a decent burger with a longer wait time then something awful tasting that is ready in five minutes. I'm a big fan of 5 guys. I definitely think they're the best of the nicer burger chains. Not fancy, and they don't have an extensive menu, but what they have, they get right. The hot dogs are good quality, grilled well, the fries are real potatoes, also usually cooked well. Sometimes they cold be a little crispier, but they are very good tasting. And whatever size you order, they give you a crazy overflowing amount. But the star of the menu is the burger, always cooked just right, perfectly juicy, just a touch greasy, and whatever topping you want...ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, lettuce, tomato. Green peppers, sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, lots of other things. All free. And a good amount of meat !! I have dined at three locations: Margate, Long Island and now Delray Beach. They are all the same. I have to say the Delray location is the best of all three & that's because it's the cleanest one of all. Everyone loves the complimentary nuts!!! I don't like them, but for those who do, they are in nut heaven. Go ahead and eat as many as you want. They even have small bags to take some home. Let's talk about the fries. They are good~but stick with the small size. Even if your a family of four, stick with the small. The amount they give you is crazy. The burgers are really good! I stick with the small burger & it's pretty large. The regular burgers are doubles and they weigh a ton. They offer the typical toppings, but they do not up-charge for sauteed mushrooms and onions. Nice touch. The food is freshly made to order and none of my orders have been messed up. They are consistent, unlike so many other places. When you place your order at the counter, you are handed a receipt with a number. When your number is called you go back to the counter and pick up your bag of food. While I wait I get a few cups of ketchup, napkins and I make my drink from the free standing soda machine. The wait is never long, but you have to remember they cook everything to order. Although Five Guys is fast food, I consider it a few steps up from McDonald's or Wendy's. Of course the price is a bit more too, but you get what you pay for right? Next time I will try a hot dog. Five Guys is one of the most dependable joints to go to in SFL if you're looking to grab a class burger without paying a fortune for one... or resorting to the other type of joint that shall not be named out of insane desperation. Having been to multiple locations throughout the years in all three counties, I don't recall ever having a bad experience at one. The location on Linton Blvd is consistent between the food and the service. Plus, it's clean and taken care of by good employees, who are attentive and friendly. Being that it's close to my office, I don't have to go far for a proper burger fix without waiting too long. They're very liberal in giving a ton of fries, whether you order a small size or large. I do feel a little guilty because I can never finish their fries, and could be wheeled out of the joint by wheel-barrel whenever I make the attempt. You could have four people with you and be satisfied with a small... unless you're drunk or stoned, then by all means, have at it. My go-to though is the Bacon Cheeseburger, which is glorious. Very satisfying, very filling. I usually get mine with grilled onions and mushrooms, with either BBQ and mayo, or Hot Sauce and Mayo... and I am feeling into it, jalapenos. I love their burgers because they always do double with the regular size. They're fresh, made to order, and definitely worth the few minutes waiting as you sip back a soda. It certainly beats getting... yeah, we don't need to mention them. Their hot dogs are good as well, having had a couple in my time. This is a local stand alone fast food burger place next to a Starbucks and Tijuana Flats on a Delray main highway. They have burgers, hot dogs and fries on the menu . The fries are advertised on a chalkboard each day as to where the potatoes come from if you are a fry connoisseur. They also have bins of roasted peanuts in shells for sampling while you wait for your order. They serve different size burgers with many choices of condiments on buns or lettuce if you are on a low carb diet. I had this once and it was a really good option. Their burgers are average taste, average greasy and average price. The condiments make the burger and the fries are worth it. I also had a grilled hot dog here in the past and it was very tasty. I really like Five Guys Burgers. I've enjoyed them close to a hundred times in multiple locations. I almost always order online because I can arrive when my food is promised to be ready, and it will already be paid for and they will just hand it to me and I can take it home and enjoy it. Convenient and efficient. But I cannot recommend this location at all. I was just there for the second time ever. The first time was almost a year ago and the service was so bad I swore I would never go back again. Yesterday, I was in the neighborhood and decided to give it another try. And the service was even worse than the first time. I placed a mobile order. I timed my arrival for when my food was promised. My experience at other locations is that I could walk right up to the counter and give them my name and say, mobile order, and my prepaid burger would be put in my hands immediately with thanks and a smile. I walked up to the counter and the guy ahead of me was still trying to get his order. Eight minutes later, he was STILL trying to get his order and three of the four employees in the restaurant were on it because it turned out that his order was completely wrong because they gave it to someone else at a table in thie store. They actually ended up walking up to a table full of customers and saying, we need to take your burgers back because we gave you the wrong order. He was probably more upset than me with the poor level of service, but the whole time they were trying to fix his order, I was pointing at the bag that had been prepared since the moment I arrived there, with my mobile order. After 12 minutes of watching the pathetic three stooges routine, they finally gave me my order that had been sitting there since I first walked in. I understand that the screwed up order in front of me may have been a one time thing, but I kept pointing at my phone and asking for a mobile order and they completely ignored me. Sure would've been simple to grab the bag right behind them and hand it to me and I could've been on my way. Maybe it was just me, at the time, but when I finally got to eat my lukewarm burger, it was the worst quality burger I've ever had at a five guys. To sum it up, the service at this restaurant is atrocious. I would have to blame it on very bad management, having experienced it twice at this same location. Other than here, I've experienced anything from acceptable to excellent service at other locations. And the quality of the burger when I finally got it was not even up to the usual five guys standard that I've been accustomed to at other locations. Five Guys burgers are good. Tonight, I visited Five Guys at 571 Linton Blvd Delray Beach, FL 33444. This was not my first time visiting Five Guys, but my first time visiting this location. My order was simple, a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onions and mushrooms, an order of fries and a beverage. I watched as they made my burger. The gentleman that was also the cashier literally put the cheese on the grill rather than cook it on the burger. I believe he was using the same gloves that he used to handle the cashier. I could only guess this was because the burgers were already cooked, or they had forgotten the cheese. In addition, 3 people were standing over the burger as they were packing it, first burger on top of the mushrooms , they kept moving around the preparation between the mushrooms on the bottom , on the top etc. Literally, 3 different people handled my burger (including the patties directly). Granted they were all wearing gloves but as I mentioned I believe the cashier was wearing the same gloves. There is simply no reason for 3 people to me handling my food. Perhaps, the cashier was in training but still. I wish I refused to take it but I tend to avoid confrontation so I took it. When I received the burger, as you can imagine the cheese was a mess. Both patties were overcooked. The fries were a generous portion but way over-salted. I expect that to a degree at a fast food restaurant but it was too much. Considering, the cheeseburger was $10.49, "little" fries $4.99, beverage and tax about $20. For this price I expected a lot better quality and hygiene. read more

Personally I'm very selective of when and where I consume ground meat of any kind because something in it just doesn't sit right, mostly ever. Hence why I went with the grilled cheese as it's the only option I can favor... It was ok, though found it strange that the bread was toasted with mayonnaise instead of butter.. One word-YUM. I've been to Five Guys before a few years back, but haven't been since because that time I went the fries were SUPER greasy and I remember the burger being just ok. Not this time! First off, this location in Delray is so nice and clean, great friendly staff and delicious food. When you walk in you come right into huge boxes of complimentary peanuts, which was pretty cool to snack on while you wait for your food. I ordered the regular cheeseburger and side of fries and drink. love that they have the fun soda machines where you can mix and make your own drinks :D my burger came out and was A m a z I n g! It was SO juicy and tasty. The fries come in a paper bag, you can see some of the grease on the bag but they were perfectly cooked. Crunchy and perfectly seasoned. The peanuts were free and excellent. The soda was unlimited and cold. But, after years of excellent burgers and fries, the were disappointing. The fries were served cool, flaccid, and undercooked. They fries tasted as they might have been cooked earlier and kept under warming lamps to serve at rush hour. I go to Five Guys for their hot, crispy, flavorful fries, The last two trips to this location were disappointing. The burger was also disappointing, dried out and not really hot when served - again, it tasted as it might have been cooker earlier before the lunch rush and served. I expect better from a premium establishment serving a $10 lunch - might as well have gone to a chain, bought a $1 burger and at least received one that was cooked in recent memory. As is normal, a Five Guys staff came by (three times actually) and asked how my lunch was. I said, "not nearly as good as usual, it isn't hot, expecting a response like, "Let me take that and bring you a fresh cooked burger (or fries)" but instead heard something like, "I'm glad you are enjoying your lunch." This was my second unsatisfactory visit; last time I said I'll give them another chance after years of great lunches. No more. Back to my instinctual man roots of sinking my gums into animal flesh, I've found myself into a new found journey of hunting down some deece burgers. On this journey, I can across this place they call five guys. You walk in the front door and immediately gain 10lbs from the frying grease alone. You walk by the mulch size bags of "fresh select" fries and up to a counter where you become overwhelmed with the choices at hand; burger, hot dog, or burger. I ordered the burger, with bacon and other such clutch toppings. As I wait for them to slop my order up, I ponder the different quotes from the many reputable sources, one of which that reads "the burgers are made with 100 percent beef." -Idaho Statesmen. Ok, whatever, I get that I'm not at some fancy pants farm to table burger joint with organic grass fed beef, but c'mon. After a bit of pondering, I receive my brown paper bag which is oozing with greasy goodness. I then get to dumping out the contents of that bag, unwrap the greasy package burger, and go face first. Immediately, I'm reminded both the miracle of the birth and rebirth of Jesus Christ as well as that gluttony scene from Seven, with the man keeled over the table.
