I first called Pelican Pools last year to replace my old crappy sand pool filter. The same day they came to check it out, they replaced it the same day! The price they did it st was quite generous I would say. I used them again to fix a broken pipe thingy near the pool pump and that that was done quickly and efficiently. I know there's a lot of great stories of the work they've done for clients. I have a great one for not even a client yet. I called since our pool pump wasn't turning on. They took the time to have me test right on the phone enough to trouble shoot the problem, saving me the cost of having to have someone on site. I was able to text over pictures to verify the results. They also gave me a variety of different options, and worked hard to find the best value for the money when it came to options to get it fixed. I had my pool drained and refilled by Pelican Pools. The process was well scheduled and seamless through completion. Pelican dropped a pump in my pool on the first day then coordinated with a third party to do a bead blast cleaning of my tile the next day after my pool was emptied. Upon completion of the tile clean, which was also accompanied by a power wash and chlorine bath of the pool surface, I then dropped a hose into my pool to fill it. Once filled, Pelican came by and did a chemical startup. The process was swift with no hiccups and their customer service was top notch. Dave was very communicative throughout the project and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Pelican Pools and will definitely use them first my next pool project. read more

Beware!!! My son called this company for a bid on weekly pool service. My son is also a young kid that is a first-time homeowner. The owner of this company came out and told my son that he needed a brand-new filter, pool motor, and vacuum. The filter he has is two months old and he was told by the owner that his pool motor was illegal in Arizona! The owner also told him that the Zodiac vacuum which is two months old also is not good because "they don't work". He told my son if he wanted to be a part of Pelican Pools he would have to change out his system. The topper was the fact he also wanted to charge him to empty his pool because he said the water was terrible but of course, we already emptied it two months ago when we purchased the home. We called my pool guy to come over to look at it and he said the vacuum line was too long so he took out a few links and the pool vac worked perfectly. My pool guy also checked the water chemicals and said the pool was fine and just needed just to be cleaned. If my son went with this company it would have cost him thousands of dollars per his quote! Instead, he got a new pool guy for $100 a month and no other expenses. Not cool to take advantage of a young kid, what do you tell elderly customers with money!??? Go elsewhere! read more

After 6 weeks I had to let these go. They did a good job fixing the equipment a few months ago but I do not recommend them for pool cleaning. 1. They claimed to be on site for 20 minutes each week. My tenant says the guy was not there more than 5 minutes each week. 2. Last week tenant sent me photos of the pool with leaves in the drain right after the guy had left. 3. This week the pool guy left the property with a huge vacuum leak. He had neglected to secure the drain skimmer cover. For this I was paying $150/month.
