So it was nice to see a Pei Wai at the airport. This is a very stripped-down version of P.F. Changs. And I mean stripped down. A few menu items, and that is all. So do not expect a large menu. This is done for a reason: speed. I got my lettuce wraps and Honey Chicken in less than 5 minutes. Not bad for fresh cooked food. The taste was almost identical to P.F Changs. The price is also not cheap. For my two dishes, it was $30 with no tip. So it may be stripped down menu-wise, but price-wise, it stays on the high side. I will say this: eating the lettuce wraps while watching others eat fast food burgers and pizza never felt better. :) The freshness of the food was great to have in an airport. Lastly, the Seattle Airport has food for everyone's taste. Just look around and do not go to the first place, as there are quite a few. read more

Not a fan of this spot. Definitely taking advantage of being in an airport location and knowing visitors are stuck with a limited selection. Extremely overpriced & simply not good, nor fresh. My food was soggy, yet cost me $20. Not including a drink or any appetizers. I typically don't write negative reviews often but this was a really frustrating experience while waiting for my flight. Great to have this gem here! Lots of choices and the ingredients taste very fresh. There was a long line but can move quick, with two self ordering kiosks (a little to the left if you're staring at the cashiers). The self ordering kiosks aren't clearly marked so shove your way through to get to it. Most people didnt know it was available when I was there. Best of all, you can substitute cauliflower rice with any entree for $1.99! And $2.99 for cauliflower fried rice which is really great tasting. If you're worried about getting wider hips like me with the carbs and starches, try out their cauliflower! Friendly cashiers, great food and decent prices. There are kiosks so it saved time ordering, it was pretty quick, including customization instructions. The food was ready, I kid you not, in 5 minutes, saving me much headache of sprinting back to my gate. Price is a tad high, but I mean it's the airport where a basic commodity like a bottle of water costs more than a Starbucks coffee. The food tasted good and the portion size was more than enough to keep me satiated through the delayed flight. It seems to me based on the previous reviews the service level declines during a very busy rush, but the opportunity is there to be friendly - they'll do it. Yes, it's about twice as expensive as it should be (blame airport rent). Yes, if the airport is really busy there can be a wait. Yes, Seatac should have more places to eat, more places to sit, etc. But enough about the bad things. The food was excellent! I was genuinely surprised at how good it was. Extremely fresh, hot, and flavourful. Both chicken dishes were great, and the portion size is reasonable (though I'd like more given the price). This place is so much better than the Chinese food place that used to be there - it's a huge upgrade. It took about 10 minutes to get my food, which isn't at all bad for an airport restaurant. Rating based on SERVICE and OPERATION These people are actually assholes- how they talked to the man at the front who had an issue with his order is completely handsoff, unaccountable, didn't care about the customer. The man had paid extra 3$ for extra meat on one of his plates- and both plates were exactly the same. So they had completely ignored the extra meat and given him the same amount. The lady working looked at it and goes "I don't make the food, this is the amount you get," wtf?! Eventually manager gets called out and deals with it but she wasn't nice about it either, clearly their mistake. When dining at the airport all I need is something edible to fill me up before a flight. Extra points if it tastes good. Unfortunately I was left pretty hungry heading into my flight as I struggled to finish my meal. Ordered the original Pei Wei chicken and I probably wouldn't recommend it. The chicken is juicy and well cooked, but the sauce is just so dang sour! It makes it tough to finish especially if you don't have a drink on hand. I don't think I've ever had such a sour meal from a restaurant. The one positive here is that really is that one portion was big enough to serve two people. Disappointing. I have a long layover at the Seattle-Tacoma airport, and when I saw a Pei Wei here, I practically ran to the cashier to order. Our Pei Weis in the midwest were closed down almost 10 years ago, and I jad really enjoyed it. The staff is nice, but the food is horrible, as other reviewers have mentioned. I got a chow mein dish, and it was yellow spaghetti in a saltwater sauce. I didn't realize until after I ate there that out of the several dozen food places in the airport, this place scored in the bottom 10% on a site for ratings of all of the airport's restaurants. My meal was $23 (not including tip) and it was very difficult to eat. The spring rolls were gross too. I don't usually rate restaurants as a 1-star unless something bad happens like I get sick or something, so I've rated this a 2, but it's more of a 1.5. read more

I tried Pei Wei recently at SeaTac. The start was promising--at the right of the counters are terminals where you enter the order via pictures on a touch screen, pay and get a number. You then wait for your number to be called. Unfortunately my wait was 19 minutes. They seem to have a lot of people working in the kitchen, but there were a lot of people waiting a long time. Even worse, I saw at least two of the orders get messed up. The payoff is supposed to be that the food is cooked fresh and taste better. I was not impressed. I ordered the honey-infused chicken and fried rice. The chicken definitely had a honey flavor, but did not taste very good. The rice was better, but I expected better. read more
