After countless times coming, I've been meaning to make a review about this place. Everything in…read moretheir menu is something great, with some of my personal favorites being the Homestyle Trio with Eggplant, their Mapo Tofu (off menu, no gatekeeping), their Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup (a wee too spicy for me personally, but I love the simplicity of it), and the General Tso's Chicken. The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

Even so, we didn't have to wait for a table for two. The meal was filling. The portion sizes are enough to feed two people. I made some alterations to my order and they were happy to oblige. Our service was great. I could tell the waitress was new and still learning so I worked with her. She now knows that they do have serve a salmon dish that comes with jumbo shrimp, steamed vegetables and the rice of your choice. This dish was pretty good. I could have done without the jumbo jalapeño though. I enjoyed the seaweed salad. It came with a bed of lettuce and a creamy dressing. Not the typical seaweed salad, but enjoyable nonetheless.

I ordered the Nobi dog, Nobi egg sandwich, and the bittersweet sundae. I was initially hesitant to order the Nobi dog, but my doubts were immediately quelled with the first bite. The Nobi dog was a standout item with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The savory Kosher beef frank is complimented by the sweet and salty chargrilled pork, pickled carrots and daikon, and spicy sriracha mayo and jalapenos. The crunchy pickled vegetables and creamy mayo stand out against the tender pork and beef frank. I would definitely reorder the Nobi dog at a future visit. Unfortunately, the Nobi egg sandwich was only mediocre and left and impression no more than the simply the sum of its parts. The chargrilled pork was flavorful and egg had a pleasant fluffy texture, but the sandwich as a whole tasted rather boring and uninteresting, especially compared to the Nobi dog. The bittersweet sundae was a stout brownie with vanilla gelato, covered in whipped cream and was the lowest point of this meal, and I would recommend against ordering it. In my opinion, there was entirely too much whipped cream, which was foamy and runny and had a metallic off-note, perhaps from the can it likely came from. After digging through the mountain of whipped cream, I was further disappointed by the texture of the brownie, which had an unpleasant eggy taste and texture. The vanilla gelato was only okay, and did little to salvage this disappointing dessert. Despite its shortcomings, Nobi's service was excellent and attentive. Even on a crowded Tuesday dinner, our waiter frequently checked in on our party. The restaurant is fairly spacious and can accommodate large (8+ people) parties, however it may be a challenge if you plan to visit on a Tuesday night. Overall I would return to Nobi's, specifically for the Nobi dog or the amazing $10 pork chop deal and to explore their wide selection of beers. Aside from that, I would be willing to try other items, but I definitely would not reorder the Nobi egg sandwich nor the bittersweet sundae.

This counter-order joint is roomy, with a slew of arcade claw games lining the wall. I've been to Japan, and arcades such as this are a huge thing there, though they usually don't combine restaurants and arcade games. Perhaps they do in Korea? I digress though, because this is a fun, clean interior, and the service is polite and efficient. We had Korean Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Udon and an order of Spreggrolls. Everything was delicious, and there was seriously enough for another meal or two. The chicken was nicely cooked with a sweet/spicy sauce. Same for the shrimp. These guys also do an outstanding job with their rice, which is almost served al dente. The spreggrolls, which are a fusion of fried egg rolls and cold spring rolls, stole the show for me however. It's such a simple idea, yet no one (else) seems to have thought of it. These folks have a huge menu, and I look forward to making my way through it.

My first visit at Ramtan was Wednesday the 14th and my experience was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. 10/10, and the service was great. She listened, asked the best questions to help us achieve what we set out to achieve, and she was entertaining. Afterwards, when I asked if I could take some pictures, we were met with a friendly hostess who said I was absolutely free to take pictures. During that visit, I had a delicious bowl of wonton noodle soup. We ordered some potsticker dumplings and the shaken beef. Everything was done well. My recent visit was on Monday the 19th and again, the food was amazing. I ordered a wonton noodle soup. We had another order of shaken. We also ordered morw potsticker dumplings and an order of the creamy crab wontons. The difference between me enjoying my second visit and the first visit was completely about the service. Our server seemed scattered. Granted, the restaurant was busier this time around. She looked like she was running around handling multiple tables. Then she got our order incorrect. We ordered the potsticker dumplings, she brought us crispy dumplings, which, if you know the difference, one is pan-fried and one is deep-fried. I wanted the pan-fried dumplings as I specifically told her. When I ordered the crispy crab wonton, she proceeded to ask me if I knew it was real crab and not imitation crab. I was taken back by the question and wasn't quite sure if she was trying to be helpful or not, but it wasn't. I ordered some jasmine green tea. I couldn't finish the entire thing because the pot was way too large for one person so I asked for it to-go. She brought me a to-go cup and said, "sorry, we're out of lids." I thought immediately, after looking at my soup I asked her to pack to-go, she could have gotten creative and packed my tea in a similar container instead of bringing me a problem which eventually led to me leaving my tea on the table. Hence the difference in deciding whether this was going to be a 5-star or a 4-star review.
