NOT WORTH THE MONEY! There once was a time when Pei Wei was a great place to get affordable Asian food. Now it is just like most of the chain restaurants just going through the steps with no pride in the product. We ordered: Kids Honey Chicken with Noodles and sauce in the side. Spicy General TSO's Chicken Hot and Sour Soup Chicken Steamed Dumplings Kids meal was acceptable to my son! General TSO's has way too much pepper Flakes to the actual flavor of the sauce. The big issue was the soup and Dumplings. The Hot & Sour soup was not even close to actual hot and sour soup and lukewarm warm. The dumplings oh my how can you screw these up. Well let's use frozen dumplings drop them in hot water for a minute then put them on a plate. So the steamed dumplings were sitting in water on the plate and not hot. Lame Crapy food for way too much money. General Manager Luis Aviles clean house and start producing a product that is worth the money you charge. Or just close shop like most of the other Pei Wei's. read more

Good quality and customer service can both use some improvement. Meat seems rubbery and so does the tofu. Sauce is salty on the rice bowl. Noodles wasn't as salty. Did let the manager there know but was told that they can't adjust salt level and nothing was said about beef nor tofu quality. read more

A week ago I tried Pei Wei for the first time in 7 years. To my surprise it was pretty good and I was hopeful they had reprised themselves. Out running a few errands in the 109 degree heat and just wanting to take something home. Stopped in for a couple of entrees,spring rolls and what's billed as the New Sriracha Wings. Plain awful! We've ordered so many times from this location and the food has always been decent. Not tonight. The Teriyaki Chicken noodles had a taste and smell to bleach or dish soap. We threw that food away. The Pad Thai was spicy and it's typically not a spicy dish. Something was definitely off tonight with the food. read more

Very disappointing experience. The spring roll was cold in the center, and the Thai Coconut Chicken was soggy and had a bitter taste. Also, the "(2) X calories" labeling is confusing--why would the calories need to be doubled? Over a year later we wanted to give Pei Wei a second chance. One Star review for the Kung Poa Chicken with fried rice and 2 Crab Wontons. The Kung Poa portion is cut in half again, tiny chicken bits (definitely brought in frozen). The fried rice tasted like RiceARoni mixed with vegetables. It was served hot, but it simply tasted like a microwave meal. VERY disappointed in the Crab Wontons. Its obvious that they are brought in frozen and dropped in a fryer. The crab filling smelled and tasted "fishy". They no longer serve the yummy chili sauce anymore, now its crap in a packet. Their inside dining is open, but your treated like its ToGo. Your meal is served in plastic containers, and the super cool drink machines are gone. Extra disappointment is how PeiWei has reopened. I give this location less than six months to stay open. Haven't been here in a while due to bad experience after bad experience. Came back by today to pick up an internet order and to see if things were better. Well they were! I had to have been the last order of the day before closing. And my food was cooked perfectly and our order was hot and fresh! A big shout out to Franco for a great meal. Finally!! Ordered delivery twice now. The only good things on the menu are the jet tila dishes. The firecracker chicken and tofu do have good flavors. Although on my latest order, feels like they dont really give you enough tofu or sauce and you are just left w like half the rice. Skip the chicken lo mein here, awful, chicken didnt even seem cooked all the way. Get some char on those or something, and half the noodles werent even mixed w the sauce which was bland. Awful. Awful, awful, awful! The last few times I've eaten at this Pei Wei has been a terrible experience. Especially this last time... I got the chicken fried rice and now I have food poisoning. The chicken looked a bit questionable, so I only ate about a fourth of the meal and was sick the rest of the day and next morning. Throwing up and diarrhea... as well as nauseous throughout the day and night. I'm also pregnant... so I really hope this doesn't effect my pregnancy. read more

Ordered there current special: 2 meals plus a shareable for $20. Good deal in this economy. I order the seared honey chicken, my partner ordered Thai coconut curry chicken. I really liked my plate-the chicken was crispy providing extra crunch with the crispy noodles. I had mine over a bed of steamed rice. The spice was great-not overwhelmingly hot . It was just right and my meal was delicious. Large portions so I had enough for leftovers next day. I tried the coconut chicken, it had a slight taste of coconut and not overwhelming in any way-we like to taste coconut and curry so, I would advise them to add more spice if you order. Otherwise, prepare for an underwhelming dish that is bland in seasoning and plain tasting. Excellent for those with no taste buds. The Mongolian green beans were delicious and heavy on the garlic-however, I love garlic and it was flavorful . The egg rolls we ordered was our shareable-we did not know we could have chosen green beans as our shareable? Should have been suggested by order taker. But, I was happy with the chicken egg rolls-they were large and delicious when dipped I. The Mongolian bean sauce. Overall meal was good-ready For pick-up in Time/we hardly dine in these days. This is my first experience with Pei Wei. I was looking forward to it because it has a lot of gluten free items on the menu. The restaurant was nice and clean, the staff were friendly as they greeted us. It was 20 minutes before closing and I hate coming into establishments when the staff are getting ready to shut down. I had driven 7 hours to Dallas and I hadn't eaten anything all day. The staff insisted that my friend and I sit and eat...and take our time. They were very kind. I ordered the bourbon chicken, which was delicious! I ate a few bites (it was a huge portion). I wish I was in the right mind to take pics but I was sooooo hungry, lol! I loved Pei Wei growing up, but this location is just unacceptable. I ordered a 4 pc spicy tuna roll, and I was extremely hesitant (Pei Wei just doesn't strike me as a good sushi place). When I get to my car and look at my to go order I realize that the fish inside the roll is brown/gray. As a consistent sushi eat, I know that fresh tuna should be bright red/pink and this is a sign of bad fish. I called the manager to discuss and she told me that their fish is always brown because of all the ingredients they mix inside of it. I have tried sushi/poke at many different places across the country and never have I heard of such a thing. Unfortunately this place has really declined as if late. Tonight I got my usual, chicken and shrimp pad Thai. It was soupy and didn't have any peanuts on it. So much sauce made it sweet and hard to eat.... wondering if they put the correct sauce on it at all! Not even close! I tried the Pad Thai and and it was the lamest attempt I've ever witnessed. The flavor, texture, ingredients, proportions were all wrong. There wasn't a trace of lemongrass. The ketchup-like sauce was too salty and syrupy. The noodles were too soft and there were too many of them. The vegetables were also over cooked and there were too few of them. The crispy tofu was not crispy. . I'm by no means a purist but this is a national dish and deserves more respect than this. The staff members were super nice and my wife liked her dan dan. read more

Waiting on food a girl working out front with hair down put her hair up and walked back through doors got an apron and walked to kitchen to work. I mentioned it was health code not to wash hands and they said she washed hands. No way she had time to wash hands as I watched how fast from the time she went through door and entered open kitchen. I know, I know, it's a chain... That being said, what I love about Pei Wei is the consistency. I always receive great service, I always received fantastic food and the place is always clean. I don't bring my family here more than maybe 5-6 times a year, but it's always a good experience. My most recent visit was yesterday. I was greeted by a happy smiling face, my food was brought to me hot and fresh and the staff was throwing smiles around like we were all one big happy family. When it was time to go, my wife grabbed a couple to go boxes for the kids food. i didn't feel like grabbing a bag and was going to carry the boxes to my car. A person from Pei Wei ran over to me and said "hey sir, here's a bag to make that easier for you". It's the little things that count. On 6/10/2020 I ordered Kung Pao Chicken with Brown Rice with extra peanuts. What I got home with was... Vegetables with Kung Pao sauce on White Rice with some peanuts. I called the restaurant only to talk to a girl who could not have been less interested in my complaint. I asked for a refund and she said sure. Then I asked, do you need my information to refund me? She responded "No, I have your information." 4 Days later, no refund.
