We were looking for a sweet treat and were thrilled when we saw this Cinnaholic store. I've only ever had them in Vegas, so I was happy when I saw this one. I love the cinnamon rolls at Cinnaholic because they are definitely satisfying. The store was clean and inviting during our visit. We were the only customers in the store, but we chose not to eat here because we got the feeling that the woman behind the counter didn't want to be bothered. Overall, our cinnamon rolls didn't disappoint. They were warm, sweet, and delicious. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was due solely to the service we received. The woman behind the counter was not friendly or welcoming. She was in the back room when we walked in and she didn't smile or offer much of a welcome. She rushed through our order and handed us our rolls. It seemed to me that she just wanted to get us out of the store quickly so she could get back to her cellphone. We definitely didn't feel welcome based on the service we received. This place had the worst customer service. I'm not sure if there's a language barrier where there are misunderstandings, if the employees just aren't paying attention because they're too busy chatting with each other or if the employees truly just want to rush out of work and don't care about taking the correct order. The worst part is that I gave them a $5+ dollar tip at the beginning of the transaction just to take my order which was all wrong in the end. I took my out of town sister and her kids to the Mckinny Cinnabon (highway 121) to order 5 cinnamon rolls and the only two employees working told me they were closing in 10 minutes as to pursued me to leave and not order. That was strange because it was 6:36pm (based on the timestamp of my receipt) so I guess they close at 6:46pm? I told them our family would just take them to go and eat them at home and not delay them from closing. The two employees were talking to each other while they were taking my order. We spent more than $41 at $8.25 each and got completely different cinnamon rolls than what I ordered and only 4 were input not 5. I pointed out when I got my cinnamon roles they were wrong and that I ordered 5 not 4. They offered me a 5 already made cinnamon role at a charge of $8.25 that wasn't the role we even ordered or wanted. I just took the bag and left with the 4 wrong cinnamon roles. read more

As a vegan of 7 years I am always looking for the best vegan eats and sweets. So while I am visiting some friends in Texas I found a Cinnaholic down the road! I first had Cinnaholic in San Jose, CA however they permanently closed very recently which is a major bummer. Anyway, I introduced my friends to the delightful cinnamon rolls here and although my friends are not vegan they loved it! They said if I hadn't told them it was fully vegan they would have never known. We visited the McKinney location and the service was quick, staff were welcoming and polite and had us in and out in less than 10 mins. I loved the year round Christmas tree they have decorated for the spring season :) we ordered an original roll, some baby buns with cake batter frosting and the cookie butter roll. I usually go for the monkeys business which is chocolate and bananas or the s'mores (you can't go wrong with marshmallows and chocolate!) but I wanted something different this time. The cookie butter was absolutely amazing and I went back the next day to get it again! Cookie butter frosting, cookie butter crumbles, oh my! So so good. My sister and I were just looking for a place to get some breakfast and this spot popped up in our page. We thought we would go and try it and had zero regrets. It was so, so yummy and the service was awesome. The owner was so friendly and patient while we took forever to choose what we wanted because of all the great options. It is a little small but there's enough space for one - two couples to sit inside the store if needed. They also have vegan chocolate chip cookies that were fire . Okay so basically I feel like the Richardson Cinnaholic location spoiled me and raised my expectations waaaaay too high. Last weekend I went there for the first time and was absolutely blown away! Everything was absolutely perfect. So whenever I saw that a McKinney location, recently opened, I was elated! I mean hello, who wouldn't want to live 10 minutes away from the heavenly place that cinnamon roll dreams are made of? With that in mind, naturally, and perhaps naively, I was expecting to receive the same level of perfection I was met with last week. Sadly, that was absolutely not the case. As you can see from my photo, they DEFINITELY didn't give me anywhere near the amount of toppings I received at the Richardson location. There was more icing than anything else and the other toppings seem to have been an afterthought. Also, the cinnamon roll wasn't as fresh and fluffy as the one I received at the Richardson location. Was it the worst thing in the world? Of course not! It just absolutely did not meet my (perhaps, unfairly set) expectations. After comparing both photos, I really can't wrap my mind around the fact that I paid the same price for both of them, especially since the one from this location is noticeably unimpressive in comparison to the other. Maybe this was just a fluke since they just opened and things will improve after they work out the kinks? Who knows. I truly hope so. But yeah, even though I'm pretty bummed about it, a lesson was DEFINITELY learned. I am willing to give this location another chance in the future, but in the meantime, the next time my craving strikes, I will absolutely make the 20 minute drive to the Richardson location. read more

Literally, the most dangerous place to enter. I'm allergic to cinnamon, yes, I know, who on earth is allergic to cinnamon? And who would eat cinnamon rolls, if they're allergic, Me!!!! It tastes just like s'mores! They have a s'mores option with everything preselected but I mixed it up a little. We also got the cinnasticks. They were really good! You get to pick a flavor of dipping icing with those too. A warm cinnamon roll topped with their house made pralined pecans and cream cheese icing. It was worth every calorie and I have no regrets. I customized my roll adding vanilla frosting, Oreos, and brownie bites (paid $6.22 including tax), and it smelled amazing in the car. After eating a salty lunch, I dug into the roll and the first bite felt like heaven. But it got excruciatingly sweet very quickly, and I honestly thought my body would run out of insulin! Today, I woke up craving cinnamon rolls. I found Cinnaholic online. Never heard of it. Their site says products are "100% plant-based, dairy & lactose-free, egg-free and cholesterol-free". Both were delicious! Cinnamon rolls were firm enough to hold shape, but still soft and fluffy. Icing and toppings were good too. I want to try other flavors now. Staff was friendly. You can tell they enjoy their products. Several customers in line too. Cons: I didn't take away a star for these things because they aren't deal-breakers and its a brand new store location. So, they can work on them. The storefront could be more inviting. No lights, open sign, windows were darkened, and no lights on just inside the door (maybe due to no dine-in right now). I like cinnamon rolls. These are really good cinnamon rolls. The old skool ones are good, cinnamon rolls with vanilla frosting. I usually go for a more decadent dessert roll when I visit here. The rolls are hot, soft cinnamon bread with the icing melting into delicious gooey-ness. I have not included pictures of every roll that I have tried but I've posted a few.
