Grateful for Peet's on Fillmore Street. Consistent quality & variety of coffee & espresso drinks and tea drinks as well, either hot or cold. You can customize and they always have special new drinks to try. They also serve baked goods, breakfast and lunch items which are all decent in taste and reasonably priced. Nice location with large windows and pleasant place for sitting alone or with loved ones to socialize or read. Clean and pleasant place. We will keep coming back. read more

This is one of my favorite Peet's locations. The cashiers are friendly and really seem to enjoy their jobs. That could be hard as a barista in Pacific Heights. I also like that if I need a quick coffee before work I can drive and park in the loading zone in front. I wish their pastries were fresher, but that's all the Peet's. It's a local neighborhood community spot I'd go to on repeat. read more

Staff's rude. Unfortunately this Peets is my only option on Doordash. So gave them another try and it was terrible The large cup of Chai Latte w/ extra chai was over a third EMPTY. You have to be quite an ass to knowingly give me a largely an empty cup. Plus wrong temperature. Can hardly drink it as so it's so hot but I can tell they barely put any chai in it. So after 2 hours of watching and playing with my fur ball at a meetup: he running, rolling, chasing and catching balls like football players, I took him out bounds and into Peet's Coffee today. We are so lucky to have at least 3-4 coffee places nearby when we want some drinks and snacks. This particular Peets is located at a busy corner of Pac. Heights and near one of his favorite treat stores. The drinks are great and the staff friendly. Ambiance is your typical Peet's and a very busy store. Oh, I also got him a pupuccino, so he was excited. Located on Fillmore St. and Sacramento St. next door to Browser Books and across the street from a Salt & Straw (ice cream shop!) Also located near the 1 Bus Stop in case you want some caffeine after your muni ride. read more

I always look for a Peet's wherever I am, but I will not go back to this location again. On 8/19, the blond male barista taking our order was rude, incompetent and then made us feel like his mistakes were our fault. We had to repeat our order multiple times, with attitude from him, then our drinks still came out wrong. He told the other barista loudly that it was our fault. Very rude and horrible customer service. Never coming here again. Management should teach this location, specially this blond male barista, how to treat their customers. read more

Pleasant experience despite the reviews as service was friendly and prompt. Wifi wouldn't connect for me but might have been due to security reasons as my friend connected perfectly fine. Still a solid spot to work either offline or with a hotspot, small but cozy. I had an iced Caramel Macchiato which was all I wanted and more. Little sweeter than usual and very tasty. I'd come here for a short work session, an hour or two, but opt for other spots for longer or more collaborative work. read more

Great location with a good number of outside seating. This cafe gets a lot of senior customers weekday afternoons of which I am one. It is my impression that the staff is not welcoming to us/them - sometimes causing a long wait or not making the drink properly. Hit and miss. read more

unfortunately i dont really leave reviews but this just left me in a bad mood. it seemed like the store was very empty at this point, only one person before me but after i ordered i didnt get my drink for over 15 min (just one drink and 2 waters) and i had to ask the barista again to which he seemed to have forgotten ab the drink and did not apologize but seemed annoyed i asked?? i did not ask in a rude way also i asked him for the same drink and waters again and he made me the drink without a word and didnt give me the waters and i had to ask again for water... i work in food as well and i understand shifts can be hard and long but this was just not it wtf read more

Good window seating at a busy intersection that makes it a good spot for people watching, taking a break from leisurely shopping, or working remotely for a short bit. (But that also makes it tough to find an open seat along the windows). Friendly baristas, too. read more

Came here to grab a coffee and got the seasonal golden latte with honey and turmeric. The first few sips reminded me of the dumpling & vinegar combo in Chinese cuisine, or the smell you'd find in some Asian kitchen (kinda weird to be honest), but gladly the taste got better and better as I kept drinking. The inside of this place was kinda dim though, so I don't think it's a good spot for learning/working. read more

This Peet's has been on Fillmore for as long as I can remember...decades... It's a neighborhood stalwart with your standard Peet's offering of teas, coffees and pastries. There is limited indoor seating (4-5 small tables) and some outdoor seating (4 large tables), though the outdoor seating feels new during the pandemic (that may not be the case). I wanted to checkout the Lower Pac heights over the weekend. It was such a beautiful sunny day and the downtown was buzzing with weekend crowd trying to find a brunch spot. Almost all the places were full. While we waited for our table, we decided to grab a quick coffee. That is when we found this cute coffee spot that wasn't crowded at all. Drinks : The Matcha latte here is unsweetened (thank god!), frothy and light! Feels like sipping on cloud. We've tried the regular cappuccino here which are great but this time we decided to try the Havana cappuccino. It was honestly way too sweet for my taste. I got an instant headache, especially trying this out after my Matcha was shocking to my tongue. But my partners seemed to enjoy it. Yes, both of us have the complete opposite taste in beverages! We make up for it through our matching taste in food. Ambience : As mentioned, this store is in a very charming and vibrant downtown and naturally, the place is very lively. They do not have any seating indoors but ample seating outdoors which in my opinion, looks better. The interiors of this place is filled with photo frames of mostly anything associated with coffee. There was a Berkley food pyramid picture thats up on one of the walls which I thought was pretty cool! Staff : Attentive and mostly to themselves, the staff here is always busy taking orders or making coffee. Value for money : YES for the Matcha Latte! I just had my worst experience at this Peets on Fillmore St. I got a gift card yesterday as a reward from my company and because pert's app sucks then I went to the store asking add the gift card into my app. I was told they can't do and I said it has been done before . They guy explained it is Peets policy an it was wrong if they did it before. I explained it does not make sense. I don't want to carry the card and prefer to give it away. Finally he added the card as a big favor. I called corporate and he was wrong. as I thought but He already spoiled my morning. read more

Let me start by saying I love Peets ! I've been coming to this Peets for years and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, today was not that day. I walk into Peets with my two little girls to order my usual drink . Iced Large white choc mocha with extra shot of espresso and oatmilk . The woman who took my order was pleasant so this review is not for her . The barista Josh ( glasses with tattoo on left arm) called out my drink . Unfortunately, the drink was wrong and I let him know He looked at me and said , well that is not what's shown on the order . I said ok , but I ordered right , someone just put my order in wrong . He said sorry but we have a lot of orders so you just need to take it. I told him no , I paid for a drink and I would like the drink I ordered. He pretty much was like of well. The girl who took my order told me she would make me a new one . I can't believe he was so rude and didn't care that my order was messed up . His attitude was like take the drink or leave it , I could care less . He needs to be trained in customer service read more

Went here today around noon time and at least 3 to 4 small barking dogs inside the Cafe almost getting into a fight. These were not service dogs but entitled pet owners "pets". The staff mostly younger did not seem thrilled about it either but didn't say anything. In a way I can't blame them as they probably would get a Karen backlash. I don't think it's appropriate to bring barking dogs into the cafe - especially not with seating options outside. Certainly I'm not going back there. I wonder if it has to do with the demographics on upper Fillmore st...pretty gross pets in a food facility. In my neighborhood folks with dogs sit outside the cafes. read more

The interior of this location is nice, clean, chill, and staff was friendly, it's a 'warm feeling' Peet's -- and, unlike a lot of their other locations in the last couple of hours before closing, this one actually still had a good selection of pastries, even had both of my favorite ones, so kudos for that and all four stars go to all those things. But I gotta agree with Jason M (posted a few weeks before this): not sure about the entirety of their barista team, so this likely doesn't apply to this store overall (and, thus, taking down only one star), but there is at least one barista at this location who isn't making the lattes right, or at least how I'm used to them at pretty much every other location. The foam top is like at Starbucks, just a massive, sloppy dollop, rather than the usual more creamy top (kinda a Peet's trademark). Tried to stir it in to even out the drink, but it just doesn't work that way with the foam that frothy. And, ok, she was really busy and I needed to run so I didn't ask for it to be redone -- for sure, that's totally on me -- but just had to call this out so mgmt knows. One last thing: need a better lid/stirrer/napkin/milk/cream station where everything is together, including a trash receptacle, which is in a separate area right in front of the barista where you pick up your drink. Redesign needed. A few small changes and this location will probably get more consistent 4 & 5 stars. read more

I had to kill some time this morning while waiting for my wife who had an appointment and while walking in the Upper Fillmore decided to stop in for coffee and a chorizo flatbread. Great service, clean gender neutral restroom and lots of spaced out tables an chairs to sit inside. They have umbrella tables along the side of the building but they were all taken when I arrived at 8:30. Shout out to the female employee who was constantly sweeping and wiping down the common areas inside. Always enjoy a cup of Peet's and even though this location is not one that I frequent I observed that the friendly staff members engaged the regulars who come there. read more

I work in the neighborhood and go to this Peet's periodically. I must say all the people that work here seem very happy. They enjoy their work environment and the people they work with and it shows. There was a young lady doing the cleaning and she was so sweet and engaged in lovely conversation with me. She politely said " Have a good day. See you again."
