Sorry, I need to be clean.

This place has GOOD coffee. The food and service is ok. However, the place is dirty. Windoes, signs and common areas need a major cleaning. The Open/Close sign is filthy. This is a place were food is serve. What is the issue of having a clean establishment?

Must-try: their espresso Why? the Americano was a little burnt but overall I appreciated the acidity and the little bit of nuttiness Protip: I couldn't find an outlet, or maybe I didn't look hard enough

Nice corner shop. There's a cute display of coffee grinders on the wall. Good amount of seating!

Royal grounds is a charming, quaint little cafe in the Richmond that is worth your quiet morning. The cafe serves up the usual deli sandwiches and coffee drinks at reasonable prices. They also sell coffee beans by the pound with various blends and origins. It is reminiscent of pre third wave and an encapsulation of "most cafes" in the city that did not fall victim to second wave coffees. I really liked the decor. The cafe is cooly designed with hand grinders of different sorts. There's a small room at the back with a couch and books to read. Can't speak much to the coffee but the sandwich was okay.. I would def come back to just hang out and read a book

Beautiful small business! The decor is so cool and they play classical music on their speakers. This was a really relaxing and cute morning breakfast stop. Speaking of breakfast, the ultimate breakfast bagel with bacon was nice and hot. Maybe if the bacon were crispier it would have been even better. The mocha blended coffee drink was really good. The woman at the counter warned me that there was no coffee in the drink and that it's only a sweet blended drink. I didn't mind that there was no coffee in the drink, I just wanted something cool to drink in the summer and it was perfect! I would love to come again!

    Coffee

Love their coffee!! Got their cafe mocha and loved that you can still taste the coffee. A lot of other coffee shops has saturated the coffee taste with milk and syrup but this made it perfectly

    Lox bagel sandwich

Ordered a lox and bagel sandwich. The obviously bored girl behind the counter forgot the cream cheese. I pointed that out that while I did get a new sandwich all the cream cheese was in a big ball on side

I won't say much about the food, just that there is a reason I want to come back for more. Fresh, delicious ingredients. Carefully thought out and brought together for great combinations. Truly curated experience is how I would put it. I really like this shop.

I loved seeing all the other goods they had for sale; though they were pricey, the curation seemed very special and done with love and care. There's some seating outside on benches or the patio deck, and the employees were very friendly and easygoing. The day I went, the brunch focaccia was an artichokes, salsa verde, sundried tomatoes, red onion, arugula, and pepper jack focaccia that day, and it was delicious! they grill it fresh in front of you (takes about 5 minutes), and I'd recommend eating it as soon as possible for the best experience. The focaccia is so light and airy with the crispy crust, and their ingredients are so high quality with a symphony of flavors. Would definitely come back again for this, maybe to also try their paninis!

But I'm going to warn you against shopping here. 1) I have bought spoiled chicken from here. 2) I have bought various bad cuts of beef that not only fail to justify the premium price but aren't even as good as grocery store meats. 3) Most disturbingly, the sticker price and what they actually charge you is different. I have caught them multiple times so now I know they do this intentionally. 4) Also disturbing, the items on your receipt won't even match the items you buy. I don't know what accounting tricks they are playing but I'm done shopping here. I'm not saying all my shopping experiences are bad. But these bad ones make it not worth it to try again.

I've been here twice now and both visits have been satisfying. At this point I can recommend the Reuben and the Ham & Cheese on the sweet roll. Both sandwiches come loaded with meat and toppings. The bread is toasty and warm when served. Most importantly, everything in the sandwich taste fresh. I think I found my go to sandwich spot near work. Price is similar to most sandwich spots in the area. It's San Francisco so expect around $15-$20 for the sandwich. Luckily both times I've been here I didn't need to wait in line for anything. Service is efficient and the workers are friendly. I will be back for another sandwich!

I got the tri tip special with garlic butter and swapped the Swiss for pepperjack. The meat was sliced thin and really tender, and the garlic butter a perfect addition.
