San Francisco is a thriving place and some businesses are still around after 100 years and some are no longer around or relocated. There are some memorable places which were great and some were just med ( like in mediocre). Walking down Geary boulevard and Masonic I passed by a former restaurant and one of the only 24 hour diner in San Francisco in the Richmond District called the Lucky Penny ( wasn't so lucky after all). Although Lucky Penny had mediocre food but it's the only place open after 2:30 AM serving sit down food and drinks in the area. This place was open from sun up to sundown. There is one place I recently tried on Geary boulevard which recently opened which serves coffee sandwiches and it is called Forget Me Not Cafe. On a Geary boulevard stroll past a cafe called fifty/ fifty ( they are not a mid level cafe) I landed at Forget Me Not Cafe. Inside it has lots of plants and colorful flowers and the wall is filled with some art. They serve many different types pastries like the apple fritter to scones along with flakey croissants like some in SF. They also have many varieties of sandwiches which are under $12. They have different coffee drinks. Come to Forget Me Not Cafe and don't forget to smell the flowers and coffee. Back in the days in SF Lucky Penny was the late night tip "spot "if you were dating multiple people make sure at 3am you don't get "caught" it's now a place that most people in SF have "forgot" because of new places opening up around the city like a cafe called "Forget Me Not " Although the food at Lucky Penny was pretty "terrible " like some of the food was unseasoned and greasy not "edible" Forget Me Not Cafe has flowers and plants and the decor and the experience which is "incredible" the food and drinks are delicious at Forget Me Not Cafe which makes this place" unforgettable"

A San Francisco Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home Forget Me Not Café is a total breath of fresh air! Even though it's right on busy Geary Blvd, the vibe inside is incredibly cozy and welcoming. I've been coming here for years, but the new owner (who has been a friendly face here for a long time) has recently infused the place with a wonderful, comfortable energy that is uniquely her own. The coffee is delicious and priced very reasonably--a rare find in SF! Whether you're stopping in for a breakfast bagel or an amazing lunch sandwich (the turkey club and lox bagel are favorites), the food is consistently fantastic. But what really sets this place apart is the customer service; you're treated like family the second you walk through the door. It truly feels like home.

Chai lattes usually aren't my favorite, but I ordered one here and really liked it. Creamy and warm. They have WiFi and several small tables to sit at and another room in the back with a couch and some tables. Big windows make it a nice space to be in, and there's a single stall bathroom.

Sweet cafe, very cozy, lovely owner. A big upgrade from the previous space. And a very comfortable sofa in the back room!

But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.

This is a cute corner shop in sunny Mission, and it's very clean and organized inside. I was the only person there when I went early Saturday morning (although I imagine it might be busier now) and I ordered the lady Gianna, which took around 10 minutes to make. The result was a delicious juicy eggplant Parm like sandwich with a nice kick as well. The fresh basil really came through. The Portobello sandwich was also a standout. Overall, the focaccia bread has a perfect fluffiness and crunch on outside and the ingredients feel fresh. Would love to come back and keep supporting this little shop!

Most of us got the "Call Me Serge" which included roasted turkey, bacon, cheddar + Gouda, arugula, and a Calabrian chili orange jam, rosemary ranch, and creamy avocado-lime vinaigrette spread. It was warm and delicious! I think I would've left the arugula off next time as it tasted strong with the jam (but that's me with a sensitivity to arugula). I will definitely return to try something different to bring to my next Dolores picnic!
