This is one of my favorite coworking/remote working spots near me for their numerous seats, long hours (for a cafe), solid Wi-Fi, cheap eats, and nice workers! I usually come by multiple times a month and stay for the whole day. I don't usually buy coffee here - I'm a bigger fan of their bagel sandwiches and salads. Workers have always been super friendly and talkative to me. I have also tried to practice my Spanish with them! Lots of seating with counters and a sofa! Always a pretty clean space. Tends to have more customers in the early morning and when school gets out. I personally think it's a great space in the Divisadero/Lower Pacific Heights area and will continue to support! read more

A block from where we stayed on Sacramento Street. Great for breakfast every day we were there. A better cross-section of SF you won't find: from schoolkids to folks on the way to the office, to workers taking a break, to young families, to dogs. Unexpected rainy day sanctuary. I was waiting for my car to be repaired and dropped in for a respite from the rain. I didn't expect much, but I'm still thinking of my delicious food on that rainy day. A onion bagel toasted with butter and a cup of coffee. Sounds simple and not easy to mess up right? Nothing special about this coffee shop except how unfriendly the staff is. I walked in on a Monday morning. It wasn't busy the staff wasn't stressed taking orders. Went up to the counter and said "Good morning!" ...crickets... For the rest of my one sided interaction, not a word. No "Welcome", no "Good morning", no "Thank you", no "Have a good day" ....total silence while looking at me. Starbucks is just a block away. We went to Cumaica to get my coffee fix. I had a large house coffee and my husband had a hot mocha with almond milk. Both were excellent and my husband said his was the best mocha he has had. We also ordered a carrot bread and a banana nut chocolate bread. Both were very good and the chocolate added to the banana bread was exceptional. Service was quick and friendly. The walk in entrance is clean and inviting with a great selection of snacks and burritos in an open air case. Late Lunch via Cumaica , only an image of the food because my focus was on getting in and out given my car was questionably parked :) As for the shop it was very spacious, clean, well organized, and the women that helped me were very pleasant. My meal, a very filling & tasty Tuna Pasta Salad which would easily have been enough for 2 if partnered with a Salad or 1/2 Sandwich. No Salad for me though :) I still had some more work to do so I partnered it with a Yummy Pastry. To be honest I do have a bag of Salad in the Fridge, but there is probably a greater then 50% chance it will meet the same fate as the last 2 (green can). I don't understand any of the bad reviews because it seems to be a local spot, totally clean, and with solid coffee and food. They have enough to satisfy meat eaters and vegans. The workers were really nice and service was super efficient. Loved the bagel sandwich selection! There's also lots of seating if you need to eat or do simple work. Great little neighborhood spot! I came in at 12ish on a Saturday and snagged their last 4 bagels! I got a smattering of onion, jalapeño cheddar, and wheat! The bagels pretty good, but the cream cheese was the star of the show. This definitely made a good hangover meal! read more

I ordered a veggie Bagel which is a Bagel with cream cheese and assorted veggies. This is hard to find. I usually have to get a egg with some kind of meat. I also got a tea and a fruit salad. I have been to many places and they never have fruit salad ready in the morning. I love having fruit in the morning. There are plenty places to sit. A good variety of drinks and grab and go options. They always get my order wrong meaning my usual order is a sausage egg and cheese and without fail when I check the bagel before I leave it never has cheese on it. Most of the time when I walk up to the counter I have to interrupt their conversations to ask if someone can take my order. I ordered a raspberry Italian soda, after I paid she then said there's no raspberry flavor . I told her strawberry would be fine and she made it quickly. Then when I received the drink, it had zero flavor tasted like just the club soda . When I approached her with this issue, she drank the syrup by itself and said it sweet . Like obviously the syrup is sweet alone ...I then told her to try it with the soda she refused . I asked to change the drink she said it was fine then tried to charge me another $7. When I told her I'm not going to pay for another drink when you didn't make the first one correctly, she said not my problem you need to like it . I told her who are you to tell me what I'm supposed to like ? She then got so frustrated and agreed to make me another drink so furiously after the back and fourth and slammed it on the counter and walked off . This is a cute little cafe that serves sandwiches and drinks. We came here on a Wednesday morning for a quick drink and bite to eat after B Patisserie across the street was closed. I got the chai latte ($3.95), which was quite a good iced drink. The chai flavor was strong, but I did think that it was a bit too sweet. Ever since moving to San Francisco two years ago, I have been on the hunt for a neighborhood spot. Whether it be a bar, store or restaurant, I've wanted to have a place (within walking distance) where they, just, know me. This place for me is Cumaica. Cumaica has such a home-y feel. The staff is super friendly and there is always a seat (or couch) available for me to post up on the weekend. I've read books here, taken friends here and worked on projects here. It's my go-to place on the weekends. I almost always place the same order - a 'Veggie Bagel on Sesame' and a '15 oz. Coffee'. The bagels are delicious and the coffee is solid. I will continue to frequent this Cumaica until I move out of the neighborhood. And hopefully, at that point, I am moving to a neighborhood that also has a Cumaica. read more

This is the latest addition to the small local coffee chain called Cumaica. The store has a nice Latin American vibe to it. The house coffee is very distinct - bold and flavorful. If you come here just for the coffee, definitely a good choice and a nice change from Starbucks just two blocks down. Cumaica's food selection also can compete: fruit yogurt, sandwiches, bagels, salads, pastries. Not really inexpensive ($8 for a sandwich, $4 for the bagel, $7 salad) but tasty and filling (their tuna sandwich lasts me for a day).
