First grocery Starbucks store
Cristy M.

Situated within the entrance to Mollie Stones, I'd say that this location may be a good alternative if you want something quick while in the area. I tried to order on the Starbucks app however, they were stating that certain inclusions weren't available at this location so I decided to just go in and see for myself. My suggestion is, don't use the app to order as it is not always accurate when it comes to this location specifically. Also, in terms of ambiance...it's in the entrance so there aren't any doors which can make it very chilly. I would not recommend sitting there for any length of time due to that fact alone. Overall, I would say this Starbucks location is great for "grab n go" or if you want a drink while shopping at Mollie Stones. The food was great as always and the people were nice enough.

Once bitten and twice shy.. I keep my distance.. But you still catch my eye.. Tell me, baby..;) Toasted White Chocolate Mocha..

What does Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake, and my local Starbucks barista have in common? "Hey, Girl..." Yup, all graduates of the school of more cool than school. White guy aside, I find many are my friends, like when I choreographed Justin in his Sexy Back video, sans the ethnic. Maybe it's the shoulder sweater or maybe my acceptance of my 12% whiteness. But all I got for you is... "Hey, Girl..." I admit I love Starbucks, but I also admit not all Starbucks are the same. I mean just like us white guys lol. I've been to some crappy locations, but for the most part most are in the decent range. One of my favorite locations is the one at Mollie Stone, in fact my first white girlfriend was "Mollie", but I won't bore you with her "Pretty in Pink" sorority days;) I love this location more than the others and it's mainly due to location, away from the seedier parts of the city, just being honest, and the baristas here are pretty preppy too. Especially my morning regular barista, who I warmly greet with a... "Hey, Girl..." Yet, as insincere as I may seem for the uptight crowd from the uptown world. I'm actually pretty chill and nice. And the "Hey..." "Girl..." is spaced apart just right. And that's all this 12% white guy could want in the morning (well besides that;P) is a friendly greeting, a smile, and a consistent cup of a caffeine bev. And no, silly, not everyone I call... "Hey, Girl..." So even though there's a zillion Starbucks in the city, I tend to gravitate to this location. I guess you could call me a regular here, hence my photo being the main pic. *pats self* Since I've been here more than a dozen times, I will say I don't really have a regular drink, but I guess a latté of some sort is what rolls of my lips. The mocha and matcha I heart too. Of course, I'm always knee deep into those seasonal drinks like the pumpkin spice, et al. And like the drinks, I don't really have a regular bite, but will say I enjoy the warm croissant sandwiches and paninis. If in the mood for the sweet I tend to go with the lemon pound cake or cranberry orange scone. A snowman cookie. A frap here, a frap there. And yes, I'm now a mobile app user, so tend to just pickup my order, so less winks, and less... "Hey, Girl..." In the end, I recommend this Starbucks at Mollie Stone more than the others in the city. It's consistent and with friendly employees too. The ambiance is calm and being in Lower Pacific Heights it's a good spot to start my day. Yup, I've embraced my 12% white guy in me, but only use "Hey, Girl..." to impress you! I love you more. *kiss*

Historical marker since this was the first Starbucks in a grocery store.

As Starbucks go this one is pretty good. Efficient service, friendly staff and open all the time. It can be a bit of a wind tunnel to sit down here since there are no doors: it's in the entrance to the Mollie Stones grocery store. As for that, this is a historic location since this was the first Starbucks to be put in a grocery store. But not the last. Too bad the market doesn't indicate the date when that happened!

Train your baristas well to make decent drinks!!!!! We pay a lot for one drink, it sucks! They don't know how to steam and make a latte!!!!

This friendly store is on the patio in front of Mollie Stone's, and it is a nice place to get a nonfat latte on Sundays.

Every drink we ordered was honestly delicious, you can really tell they put care into the quality and flavor of each one. Their coffee is smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The matcha was creamy, and not overly sweet. Definitely some of the better matches I've had in a while. The staff was also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. Between the atmosphere, amazing drinks, and great service, this is definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to whenever I'm in the city!

Bright clean Modern minimalist decor with tiny little round tables just big enough for a laptop and your beverage of choice. Friendly service and definitely fast service midweek, though seating can be a little tight due to everyone camping out here "working from home". :) I really just wanted something simple like the drip coffee, black, no room, but they were out! Hey.. isn't this a coffeehouse!??? lol So I went for the Mocha and a blueberry scone. The Mocha was on point but I have to say the scone had a remarkable moist and almost airy texture with plenty of blueberries. 5/5 on the scone, 4.5/5 on the mocha. The servers were all friendly and seemed to enjoy being here as much as I was! I would love to come back again anytime I am nearby, especially midweek when there aren't any lines!

Sometimes you cannot tell the difference from Spring to Summer weather in San Francisco. There is no consistency when the sun will come out. When the sun comes out and Karl the Fog is on vacation people come out and look for something delicious and cold. There is one place you can enjoy a refreshing drink like matcha no matter the weather. It's located on Market street and Noe and it's called Oishii Matcha. On a sunny Market street stroll in San Francisco Don Juan de la Matcha landed at Oishii Matcha. Inside I scrolled and ordered using the kiosk. Since it was hot with the sun was out in the city I got the purple yam the Ube ice cream not on a cone but on a croffle ( part flakey croissant and waffle in SF). The Ube ice cream was not too sweet and was tasty and the croffle was soft and a bit crispy. I then had to wash it down with a refreshing Matcha Mango Latte with foam. The matcha was delicious and hit the spot . Now the only thing to consider next time is which nearby park spot I should hit to enjoy a Matcha. Will it be Dolores Park or Duboce Park or Noe & Beaver Community Garden ?( Questions in my Mind). Come get the real matcha and not the "phony"go to Oishii Matcha because it is organic ceremonial "only" so let's have a tea "ceremony" with Don Juan de La Matcha giving the true matcha "testimony" Fake matcha should be "unlawful" it is tasteless and the flavor is very "awful " at Oishii Matcha you can get the purple Ube ice cream on a "croffle" it's a cross between a flakey croissant and a "waffle"

Just a quiet marble table, a tiny vase with two yellow flowers, and a slice of matcha crepe cake that makes you forget what you were stressed about. I came in on a weekday afternoon and ordered the matcha crepe cake and a passion fruit refresher. The cake is the kind that looks almost too precise to eat. Dozens of paper thin layers stacked with the kind of patience most people reserve for things that actually matter. The matcha flavor is real, not the green tea powder imposter you get everywhere else. The drinks are thoughtful too. Not sweet for the sake of being sweet. You can tell someone actually tasted these before putting them on the menu. The space itself earns its own mention. Marble counters, natural light pouring in from the street, good music at a volume that lets you actually have a conversation. It feels like someone designed it for the experience, not the Instagram photo, which ironically makes it very photogenic. 4.7 stars on Yelp with nearly 300 reviews and I understand every single one of them.
