Not sure if this is my 2nd or 3rd cup today... Another long day. Quality/Quantity - As you know, Peets is my favorite "local" coffee brand. This is my go-to location in SF. Got another reward so used it to get a large iced coffee. If you have been following, I am aggressively visiting Peets in every city I am in that is convenient. Atmosphere - Small indoor space, but more than enough room whenever I come, well not today. No one sitting outside; glad I am weatherproof. Clean and busy location. Street metered parking (but free on Sundays in this area of the city). Organized self pick-up for to-go orders. Unisex bathroom in the rear of the building. Open 7 days a week from 5:30am to 7pm. Service - Good service as cashier was very patient with me. As I do not come here often, I struggled with their app. Later, my daughter realized I had points. So, my daughter suggested I change my size as the free drip coffee was for any size. Then, she asked so many questions about her tea... I felt so bad. Sorry and thank you again for your patience. Price - Large Iced Coffee = Free as I have so many reward points. 50 points = Free coffee Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 1966 with your first location in Berkeley, CA at Vine and Walnut. Been visiting Peet's for years. Just got disrespected to a point of leaving reviews, by a regular worker at the Peet's Coffee location at 16th and Geary Blvd. Which I have frequented, an estimated 3-5 times, or more, a week, for quite some time, being that I have just up the street for several years.I am also in process of figuring out a date this location opened. Great coffee. Some of the workers may need a refresher course on respecting regular customers is why. read more

Average wait time for a drink is 20 mins. I try to avoid this Peet's for many reasons and the wait time is definitely a factor as to why I no longer go this Peet's. Go to Starbucks or Laurel Village Peet's. read more

Good service, friendly and kind staff, every morning before work i got coffee. Very good atmosphere and perfect coffee.

Love the coffee and food. The service this morning was definitely sub par. There were 3 employees out front. 1 making drinks, 1 restocking consumerable, 1 taking orders and taking care of food items. So here is the issue... the young lady taking care of food items was only sorting and organizing the mornings shipment. She was not preparing any food orders at all. So there was a long back log of food orders. It took about 10 minutes to clear the backup, but that means I waited about 20 minutes for the food to come out. read more

Came by on a Thursday 30 minutes before closing. There were still people in there doing work and grabbing last minute coffee. I got the black tie. There was too much condensed milk considering the amount of coffee there was. It was too sweet. Drinking the coffee itself was fine. If I were to get it the next time, I would ask for less condensed milk. There is a longer wait since they're close to closing. I love that they have happy hour right now and that it lasts so long throughout the day because I can try different drinks without spending too much money. This review is for the cashier, KATRINA-- you are rude and need to get retrained for customer service. I don't come to Peet's often & especially not in the city. I asked you if you guys still offer the Golden latte with Protein, in which you clearly stated you still do. Moments later, the barista asked what type of milk do I want. I double checked with the barista if the drink she had placed for me was with protein, and he said NO. You shouldn't be interrupting in a RUDE MANNER. Clearly, YOU made a mistake so in the future, STOP BEING SO ARROGANT. My mistake is for tipping YOUR ass upfront, next time, I'll make sure to hand any tips directly to the barista. read more

I ordered a flat white and hot cocoa through the Peet's app. When I picked up my drinks, the "cocoa" was just steamed milk because I ordered it wrong. The barista was so nice and made it again for me. He also makes a really good flat white. The store was clean and saw a lot of traffic but mostly pick ups. Lots of available seating. read more

Not a big fan of Peet's in general, but this one is pretty small and crowded. The barista was no in rush to serve drinks. The inside smelled bad and honestly did not look nice either, very barebones. The bathroom was clean though so I'll give them credit for that. I wouldn't go back unless there is no other option pretty much. read more

Today I went to that Peet's coffee shop. I bought a cheddar bacon sandwich. After I got my sandwich, I noticed the egg and bacon were still frozen. They were all icy cold. While I go questioning the girl Hannah who made the sandwich for me,she said sometimes it is like that. I have no idea why would she say that since it is obviously not the way you are supposed to make a cheddar bacon sandwich. PS: the girl Hannah wears a glasses and looks like an Irish girl. I would like to give her some credit for telling me her name if it is indeed her name. At conclusion,so far,this is the worst sandwich I ever got. Please admit the mistake you made and learn how to make an edible sandwich. I walked away without the new making sandwich that felt rock hard from the same girl Hannah again. read more

I have held off on writing a review on this Pete location but after getting my Coffee and Breakfast delivered from Starbucks this morning I think it's time. I want to be fair I find a cup of Pete Coffee to be rich and intense , but let me be clear the service and attention to detail Sucks. Pre Virus there was an air of indifference as a walk in , but this posting is about a delivery order so let me compare my delivery from Starbucks today vs my prior one from Pete. My Starbucks Coffee came in a cup carry case , with a sealed cup opening in a well packed sealed bag, vs Pete having the Coffee in a cup with an exposed opening not in a bag of any sort. Nothing against the driver this is 100% on Pete and their disregard at protecting the health and well-being of their customers. Going forward I refuse to have my morning brew delivered from Pete. read more

Graham, this one's for you if you're still working here. What an atrocious human being. I intended to write this and reach out to Peet's in the summer and dang, mom brain. As a loyal Peet's customer for DECADES, I'm extremely saddened and disgusted by an experience I had in June here. Drove out to the bay to spend a nice day with my son. Returning from the beach, I swung by Peet's for some water. I'd ordered coffee earlier from another location off 80, but swung by just for water because my son was parched and not feeling well. I came in and walked up - graham may have said something I didn't hear as I was walking in and finishing a text. When I looked up and was up front, he ignored me. Just stood there looking down. After about a minute, I said hi, wanted to see if I could bother you for a cup of iced water. He acted super snobby, turned around after a moment and just started working something else, then slowly meandered over to work on my water apparently. He called over and said they've got no ice- I said in surprise, really no ice? Apparently he took that the wrong way, and became very rude. I'm like I can wait if you need to refill it, I just need some cold water for my kiddo (it was a super hot day). He made a comment saying something like you know what, if you don't want the water without ice then you can just go get it elsewhere. I just stood there confused. He began doing something else, unwavering and unabashed. I grit my teeth, not wanting to pursue whatever this was at that point with Mr. Rude, smiled, went over to the pick-up counter and waited for the other staff member to come up and assist. The other guy was hovered close to the ground pretending to do something for several minutes. I finally tried to get his attn, said escuse me, could you please get me a cup of iced water, I'm happy to pay if I need. Lmao - the guy continued intentionally ignoring me, seemed either too bewildered to help or afraid of Graham or on his side, who knows. He finally looked up at Graham then me - Graham looked over at the other guy and says nope, don't give her a water! Like what in the flying cows nonsense is this?! I should mention there were other customers seated in the shop. I jwas mortified, said wow and walked out after snapping a pic of him for his name. What words can you have for an event like this? Bad day? Listen I understand ppl go through stuff, have issues, have bad days, but to openly and intentionally disrespect, humiliate, and refuse service to a customer is just beyond me. Majority of Peet's locations I've been to are great. My local Peet's shops - 3 I've frequented for years, have happy, respectful, helpful staff and baristas. The June experience at this location with Graham had me in total shock. How the hell do these folks get hired? How do they stay on? This was beyond out of line on so many levels. To the good: Peet's is one of the best second-wave coffee chains and this location exemplifies the best of Peet's. Baristas are friendly and efficient. The store is clean (including bathroom) and welcoming. I can usually find parking nearby. Drinks are good and food is excellent compared to competitors. To the bad: Seating is cramped and uncomfortable. Parking is all metered street parking. (But that's expected in the city.) Something new: On this visit I got the new crispy ham and Swiss sandwich. It's the second time I've had it and while it's not super nutritious (melted Swiss cheese AND béchamel sauce), it is super duper tasty! read more

The morning crew is legit! Can't say the same for later in the day. Being a barista doesn't need mixology tactics. Just read the ticket and make the drink! I don't need to have my drink made 3x's, (which I gave up on 2 and refused to go for 3). I wanted a I iced coffee with foam and whip. 1st drink LOADED TO THE TOP WITH MILK, even though I completely removed the milk option. 2nd drink attempt, I guess to prove a condescending point to me that there's milk in here. I purchased a mocha yesterday morning. I waited 15 minutes to receive my coffee. People ahead of me and after me were receiving their coffee as I stood patiently waiting. There was no line or if there was it was less than three people. The Asian barista was working quicker than his co worker. The barista "looked" busy as he was making the orders but he seemed a bit unorganized. As I got to work and tasted it, it tasted nothing like I ordered. I'm disappointed to pay $5 plus for a cup of flavored water. The employees at this location are not friendly and rarely smile. I love places that celebrate people with free birthday items! it shows to me that you really care about your patrons. I like to take the opportunity to use the free item to try something I would not normally try if I had to pay for it because I would be afraid of not liking it. For signing up for Peet's rewards, they give you a free birthday gift that lasts about two weeks after your birthday. They give you any beverage of your choice! And when they say any beverage of your choice they pretty much mean it because when I told them I was there to redeem my free birthday drink they asked me what size I wanted! I decided to try their matcha latte sweetened and add extra matcha! I normally would not get matcha drinks outside of Asian places but decided to give it a go and was pleasantly surprised.
