This is a very nice Peete's. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. The store has an open and inviting vibe. It can get a little busy sometimes, but I can usually find a place to sit. There's outside seating as well that's in the sun in the morning and early afternoon but gets plenty of shade later in the afternoon. It always smells terrific inside. Their selection of teas is quite extensive as well. I've been here several times and will continue to go. read more

I'm more often than not at Starbucks (because of convenience / more locations), but for a change, I will sometimes go out of my way, to get a Chai latte at Peets. The Chai at Peet's is less sweet, and more spicy... it's really good! The staff is always very friendly. The decor is very nice, and super clean... a great place to meet a friend, and hang out for awhile. I just wish they would add "almond milk" to their milk options... since I prefer to stay away from the less-healthy choices, of regular dairy, and soy. I also wish they had a "frequent visitor" type card, so I can earn free drinks, like at Starbucks! ;) read more

I love Peet's Coffee. Unfortunately the only place they have an actual coffee shop is inside of Eddie's bakery in Fresno, Ca. I wish they would open up a few in the same exact spots as Starbucks... which BTW sucks. Please Peets- if you are reading this, come to Fresno! No doubt the only decent place to get coffee in Morgan Hill. The staff is wonderful, the coffee is good and consistent. Only downside is they don't always have decaf ready to serve...my foodie buddy has had to wait while they make a "fresh" one. I thought I would try their coffee considering i had a flyer for a free drink. I got a caramel latte with extra extra caramel and I was hoping it would be very sweet and good instead I got a cup of coffee that was way too strong and bitter and I did not taste ANY caramel in it. I love Peet's in general, and I like this location in particular. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. No snobs. If you don't know something they will just explain it. Everyone here really loves coffee. I like to try the whole bean varieties and ask for a small size french press pot. Every time I go in I try a different variety. There are some padded seats in the back that are quite comfortable. They don't have power outlets though. Minus one star. Bring a portable power source for your laptop / phone / tablet and you'll be fine. This is a nice area with different shops nearby including a Five Guys, a yoga place, and others. read more

I love to go to Peets for my coffee. It is very high quality and roasted well. There is so much wood decor here, it feels very upscale. I love the classical music they play, but if you like another type of music, they can change it. The baristas are very friendly and helpful. They want to make sure you enjoy your choice of coffee, tea and yummy baked goods. I like the ginger cookies and the hummingbird bread with my half-caff coffee or jasmine pearl tea. My husband likes the raspberry mocha in a ceramic cup and anything chocolate from the baked goods. People must really like the vibes here because I see more people smiling here than at any other coffeeshop. read more

This Peet's reminds me of a ferret: it's long and skinny, and I am equally repulsed and intrigued by it. It looks like it'd be a great friend, but then it grins and makes that evil face that makes my stomach turn. The good: It's a Peet's ! You can't go wrong. A previous reviewer noted that Peet's signature is it's "heart of darkness" brews. What a lovely accolade ! They certainly are dark, aren't they ? The bad: I had to wait near ten minutes to get my drink. A hardly bar-trained barista, a sloppy and probably too old for counter service clerk, and the eyes of someone watching me from the left side of the store. Worst experience at this location. Placed a mobile order for pick up and came in within the time frame that was stated. I could see my drink already made behind the counter but I still waited patiently until the barista was finished making and serving other customers. Once she was available I kindly asked if my mobile order was ready and her response was "Yes, I have it here. Just about to put it out but I serve in store customers first before mobile orders." I took the drink and left because I had an appointment and had no time to argue with this ignorant employee. Peets Coffee of Morgan Hill, please tell me what is the point of placing a mobile order if you will serve me last and in store orders first? You made my drink before all the in store orders however left it melting behind the counter because it was to much work for you to bring it to the front. I would have understood if it was busy however there were only 2 other people waiting. Obviously my order came in before theirs since it was already made and left melting behind the counter. Hopefully management actually reads these reviews and coaches that one employee because all the other times I have been to this location my drink was always ready and I DID NOT have to wait for all the in store orders to be served first. This Peet's is my favorite. It's close to work, so I go there at least once or twice a week. I've gotta watch my expenses now. But once a week, I go there for their Cafe Au Lait. Their coffee may be a bit stronger than the other coffee maker "which will remain nameless". But one needs that extra jolt early in the morning. The staff there are great, very friend, call you my your first name. There's often a crowd, but they get their orders out and the people moving. Keep up the good service. read more

Peets is always a special treat for us when we just want amazing coffee and feeling super lazy. We usually pop in on a weekend morning but yesterday was a refreshing change of pace. The typical weekend crowds make it harder to enjoy it because of all the idiotic drivers, parents shuttling their kids to whatever and being obnoxious to everyone in their way - by vehicle or by foot. Course it's not Peets fault but it's pretty obvious when they are just trying to make it through while dealing with difficult customers. That ripple effect goes down to not so chipper baristas but that's how it goes. Got in around 9:30 and the line was wrapped to the entrance. Impressively the morning crew handled it with great finesse and it got moving at a very brisk pace. Only one barista was ringing ppl up while another was grinding coffee for other customers. As soon as he was done he jumped right back on it and opened a register. Feel like jerk not remembering his name but he was super friendly, efficient, and definitely good at his job. Bf got standard coffee and I splurged on the black tie. He was super chill about honoring a check in coupon for $1 off and poured the bf coffee. The wait itself was really quick! Literally stood there for 3 min and poof drink is up. Black Tie was delicious - but really it's a modified Vietnamese iced coffee. Sweetened condensed milk with cold brew coffee with splash half/half. And the medium price is actually not too bad $3.75 but the check in offer made it all the more better. They have the best Barista that makes a sinfully delicious Mocha Latte at [ right temp, frothy and bold} The drip coffee selection includes the popular roast, when they dont' have the not the not-so-favorites ...staff is willing to go out of their way to offer a French Press [be sure you have the 10-15 minutes to spare]. I have been to the location off Stevens Creek [in Cupertino] and cant say i have had the same quality or experience. read more

This review is based off of today's service (Sunday, March 17, 4PM); I actually really love Peet's and their drinks but was appalled by their cashier's attitude (long, braided black hair, two nose rings). She was scowling during my whole transaction, then started talking to her friend who had come in behind me to ask her if she wanted a free drink. She then realized I was still standing at the register since she never really ended my transaction and said "you're all set" in a dismissive tone. I watched as she helped my mom who was next in line, scowl still intact, and acting inconvenienced by my mom's questions about some drinks. But she managed to smile when she glanced over at her friend who was waiting on her free drink, so I know she is capable of it, just chooses not to exercise it on customers. This friend also got her free drink before I got my drink that I paid for and ordered first. Anyway, I decided after observing an extra eye roll to speak to a manager. The blonde gal making drinks said they had a shift supervisor (male, short hair, with glasses) and his response to my complaint was "okay, I'll tell the manager." No apology, not even an apologetic demeanor. This was his chance to make the situation right with stellar customer service to wipe my memory of his surly colleague. Well, whether or not he plans to tell the manager, now the manager can read my complaint here about both of them. These two do not belong in the service industry and my money does not belong in their register, so I'll take it elsewhere next time. read more

The "chai tea freddo" is amazing!! One of best drinks I've ever had. To start off, their chai is better than Starbucks. They do not put any water in it, and it's spices all compliment each other perfectly. And then combined with their smooth blended ice - amazing!! I asked about a new drink and I got so distracted talking that I forgot to ask for non-dairy milk. I didn't realize until after he made my drink and it looked way creamier than I'm used to so I admitted that I forgot to ask for non-dairy milk and he was so nice about it even though it was my mistake. I love Peet's and I go to this location almost every single weekend, but today was a huge disappointment with one of their employees. I had ordered a large drink and when they had finished preparing it, it was the wrong size. I kindly told the girl behind the counter ( ponytail with glasses) that the drink that I had ordered was large and she replied with an " OK" rude and sarcastically. I had only tried Peets a few times in the past. I enjoy drip coffee black the way it should be. I tried this location at least 5 times and was not impressed. Very inconsistant, seems like they don't pay attention when brewing their drip coffee. Service is not very friendly. Pretty much turned me off to Peets. The chevron across the street is a better bet if you like drip coffee. read more
