Love this location. It's cute, it's quaint, and hey... it's on a corner with LOTS of parking everywhere! The staff at this Peet's is incredibly nice. Gives it a small town feel.... where everybody knows your name type thing. Service is fast and with a smile. Love that. I am entirely hosed by coupons. I think any coupon is a great deal Today Peets Coffee and Tea is offering a dollar off the price of a combined drink and pastry order. Not a bad deal, right? Well, my obsession with coupons has gotten me in trouble before, so I have been thinking about this most of the day. Still haven't made it to a Peets. So I do a map search and BAM! There is one tucked away in downtown Millbrae. I drive up, and there is angled curb parking (= more parking spots) and easy spots nearby. Walk in, and present the coupon. One pastry left. Happy Regan walks out to the bench eating a pastry she does not need on her waist, drinking a coffee that will probably keep her awake tonight. But, she scored with her coupon. Satisfied. read more

I don't really come to Peet's anymore realizing I can make coffee or tea for fraction of the cost. But I do come in for the Frappes. I like the dark chocolate mocha. Yummmmyyy and I feel like their service is more friendly than Starbucks. No need to hype of Peet's, let it just be the coffee shop on the corner with benches on the outside, and free wifi with no strings attach. :) read more

Been to a bunch of coffee places and the team behind the counter here always has a smile on their face and are very welcoming. (Nice to wake up in the morning to!) Even though there is almost always a line the service is fast and efficient. Orders come through quickly and are always done correctly. (We've been to places that ignore your request on no whip and do it anyway. Then when you ask them to redo the drink they make a fuss.) Thanks to the crew for making our mornings in Millbrae easier. I used to never like Peet's until I had their Chocolate & Caramel Swirl, it's the best! Spacious inside as well! Sometimes street parking is full, but we can always park in the lot next to Kinkos! read more

I always pass by this place on my way to get food. i also usually love my Peets coffee. However this location was ok. I ordered a chai latte and it was flavorless. It lacked almost everything and it tasted watered down. The drink wasn't even that hot, it felt luke warm. However, i do like how this place is fairly clean. I see the employees working really hard to keep the floors, windows, tables and doors clean. I would come back here again if i had to study because it is a very quiet environment. read more

I ordered a large mocha, non-fat milk with whip cream and a plain butter croissant. First disappointment, the person taking the order says they are out if whip cream. At 9:30 on a Saturday morning and thelhey are out of whip cream. Then I get my croissant and it's really cold. Cold out side and very cold inside. This is supposed to be a fresh croissant and it's clearly been refrigerated. I take it back, they give me a new one from the same batch on display and it's cold. Not the experience I have come to expect from Peets, even an airport one. I expected better. read more

There is one lady that works behind the counter where the orders are taken first of all she is extremely slow I have seen people walk out because of the wait then she gets the orders wrong consistently I order coffee and a hot breakfast item I get the coffee and have to remind her two customers later that I ordered it also on early mornings she doesn't open on time I have seen waiting customers leaving because of it read more

Peets is amazing. I'm normally here if I want real coffee from a chain (that's right, Starbucks) and want to be wired for most of the day. I'm also usually here to buy beans. The baristas here are super friendly and accommodating, which only adds to it. The downside of this Peets is that it isn't well-designed for meeting up with people or doing work. I sometimes just want some good coffee and a place to study or hang out, but I've found that it's pretty hard to find a good table here (there are only 4, at most) and wifi is only for an hour (good thing, or else I'd never get a seat here). Regardless, it's my local go-to for strong coffee. read more

So I showed up not knowing how to use a welcome reward from downloading the app. The young man there, I neglected to get his name, was fantastic and did not make me feel like an idiot at all. Been coming here for awhile now just as they open - The opening shift is great! Very friendly, are sure to interact with each customer and gets to know them on a personal level. Noodle (name tag name lol), Irma, Mercedes and the gentleman who just went on paternity leave (totally forgot his name!).... they also go above and beyond if the coffee brewed isn't what you are asking for, they are sure to get what you want started! I'm a super fan of Peet's Coffee and this location is one of the best Peet's shops in the Bay Area. I live in the city but sometimes I drive all the way down to Millbrae "on purpose" to get to this Peet's. Why? From my investigation, not everyone here is friendly and I've also got super cold service before as well (I don't want to pinpoint that person). BUT! this girl with round/thin framed-glasses is full of positive energy and always my day so much brighter by being just so friendly with smiles. Not just to me, but she's friendly to every single customer! I saw her again today (5/20/2018 Sunday morning) when I stopped by. I forgot to ask her name but without a doubt, she is one of the best Peet's staff I've ever seen. Kudos to this girl!!! :) read more

Literally spent $21 on a coffee and breakfast burrito... so over priced. I've never spent more than 5 bucks on a coffee, I'm just surprised! I could have gone out to eat for that price. The coffee was good but not worth the price. The burrito was very average. read more

I've been a regular customer to this Peet's for months since switching up work to the South Bay. I usually pop in right at opening for my medium coffee. This particular location has a lot of regulars and the baristas love yapping it up with those respective people. I can't really fathom why anyone would want to be a coffee shop regular. If I had that kind of time and freedom, I'd be throwing on a pot of coffee at home and saving money. But I digress. Sometimes I'm help up an extra five to ten minutes because of the chatter and I'm like the third guy in line. Okay, like I understand keeping up the rapport is important but 10 minutes in the morning on 101 makes an enormous difference at that time. I really just want my coffee. I don't want to know your name. I don't want to talk about my day. I just want coffee. A few times in the morning, the brews have been a bit inconsistent and awful tasting. I'd say 90% of the time, they're spot on. It just seems like every 10th cup I've gotten here had a distinct "off" and acidic kind of flavor (I drink my coffee black). Anyway, bless Peet's. I'd slit my wrists if I had to drink that swill they call coffee at Starbucks up the street. read more

I like this Peet's Coffee location despite it being quite out of the way from my usual coffee joints. I came during Mother's Day and there was still quite a line. The barista was friendly, accommodating and efficient. The interior of this shop is well kept and stocked. Seating can be an issue if you're looking to stick around and chill out, but people are moving constantly and there's seating outside. There are two cash registers, so the lines move fast. I ordered a Mayan special coffee in a small and used the special coupon. The coffee itself was forgettable and I honestly didn't really enjoy it. It was a confusing mess of spices and dark chocolate. Can't say I recommend ordering this unless you feel like trying something new. Overall, if the coffee was awesome, this place gets a gleaming 5 stats, but because of the weird Mayan mocha and the hefty price tag on it (4 bucks for a small), a 4 solid it is. read more

Don't get me wrong, Peet's is my go-to coffee shop. I will drink Peet's till I die and have been reloading my Peet's card since I've been born. All the Peet's locations I've been to have been pretty consistently good across the board. But this one has consistently made errors in making my zebra mocha (mocha with a pump of dark chocolate and white chocolate). I always ask for no whip and I always get whip. And no, I'm not mistaking mocha froth with whipped cream... I can differentiate quite accurately between the two. They also never ask me what type of milk I want, and since I'm usually here at 6AM and still shaking off the morning sleepiness, I don't always remember to ask for soy. It'd be nice to get a reminder from them. The workers are also inconsistent in the price they charge me. I acknowledge that this is sort of a "special item" but they should either charge me for the extra chocolate pump or not. I do, however, like how they always take off 10 cents for bringing my own thermos. It's a good location and has plenty of street parking and inside seating area; in fact, it has the most seating area I've seen in any of the Peet's I've been to. This place got 4 stars since it is the only coffee place that I could found around 2 block away from The Kitchen in Millbrae that doesn't have the CASH ONLY side right when I walk in. This Peets location is nice and on a sunny day it is delightful to sit outside on one of the benches. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere spacious and well arranged, with a wide variety of coffee and tea items to select from. I enjoyed the Chai latte I had, it was delicious and I also had one of the specialty cookies, such as the spicy ginger. Very satisfying and made with real ginger, yummy! Street parking available. Take time to stroll around Broadway, even though it is busy, there is a less hurried pace about it, just right for taking in a bit of local town atmosphere during the lunch hour. read more

I was disappointed with Wi-Fi here, it's not free and unlimited as it supposed to be. Only after purchase you are getting the access code and it only lasts for an hour, probably for more you don't need to pay, but even the fact that you should buy smth to get access, drove me nuts. I have to admit I use to be a Starbucks girl....I know I know I traded over but I had to! (let's keep that a little secret between you and me) After a long day of school and working on finals I was craving a coffee and even though they are close by I didn't feel like driving a WHOLE block more to go to Starbucks so I decided to be lazy and go to Peet's. As soon as I entered I noticed the atmosphere was completely different! People weren't screaming out orders, no long line or people with extravagant orders that took 5 minutes to order a coffee, and the people who worked there seemed happy to see you like you been a loyal customer for years. I ordered my regular coffee and while waiting I had a pleasant conversation with the barista and most importunely my coffee was DELICIOUS! It actually tasted like a coffee and not a dessert in a cup. Aside from the good coffee and the great location of this coffee shop their event planning suck! Every time my friend and I get a notification of "Brew Like a Pro" event class is scheduled we get all excited about it but twice we go there and the event class has been cancelled. I wish they also email when events like this get cancelled, so that we won't go there for nothing! Peet's is my favorite coffee shop! However, this is the worst Peet's I have ever been to and poor customer service ever experienced at Peet's. The person (male employee) who took my order was the most unprofessional and unfriendly Peet's barista/cashier have never met. No greetings, no thank you, no smile, and pretty much being very rude. In addition the barista who made the lattes that we ordered were not hot. The place also has a bad odor. I must say I would never want to visit this Peet's again. Excited to try the cold brew but disappointed as it was awful. But the worst thing was that the skinny white coffee making boy said I was a cutsy.
