So I ordered a tall drink and they charged me for a Venti then they took forever to refund it. I had asked them to refund me the difference and the guy didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and teh supervisor didn't care. So I asked for a free drink voucher instead if they couldn't refund me. They said they had no vouchers. That's a lie for sure as every store has vouchers. Just like other Starbucks I patronized, I like how they have tea available. Even just this alone, already 5 stars. I was originally intending to get the Honey Citrus Mint Tea. As an alternative, I opt in for the Royal English Breakfast Tea. Which is also an excellent alternative anytime of the day. Staff members are friendly. Good, prompt service. It wasn't even as bad as some thought. In terms of ambiance, lighting is sufficient. I just love when lighting is balanced between bright and dim. One thing that is bringing me back, seating available indoor and outdoor. If you are thirsty or hungry while waiting for the bus, Starbucks is here for you. He was helpful, organized, professional, friendly, and courteous. When I picked it up the next day, there were even personalized messages on each of the cups and the coffee was all ready to go in bags. His entire team was amazing. I've been going to this Starbucks since I was in school and I prefer this location vs. the one across from Safeway in Millbrae. There is plenty of parking in the lot even if it gets busy. Even before COVID, I never had any issues ordering in store or ordering ahead through the app. I came in on a Friday morning before 9am to get my free holiday red cup with a purchase of any holiday beverage. There were a couple people waiting in line and some waiting for their orders. Everyone was socially distanced and actually followed the markers on the floor. There were a couple tables outside for seating but all the inside tables and chairs were taped to prevent people from staying inside (see picture). Absolutely the worst service. Names are taken, but not called when coffee is ready for pick up. Coffee is placed on the countertop in the wrong location under your letter name. Numerous customers must sort the counter to find their coffee. By the time I found my coffee in the wrong section, it had to be remade. An impromptu visit because I was craving an iced soy matcha latte, my latest obsession. I wasn't sure how well they were gonna turn one out--but boy did they ever come through! Ice cold and less ice, which I had specified, their largest size with creamy consistency and fresh grassy whole flavor, nothing like your classic regular iced green tea. Swung by to kill time between SFO runs. The staff was nice. Ordered a large hot chocolate. This isn't the coziest Starbucks location (if that matters to you) but it worked well as a place to kill time. It's also easy to get to right off the 101 freeway. read more

This smaller location tucked into Burlingame Plaza would need a lot to go beyond the bad first impressions. Initially, it was confusing to enter, as the recessed door wasn't readily visible. Once inside I headed for one of the restrooms. It was truly disgusting. I've been in many gas station bathrooms with better cleanliness. There were discarded wads of paper all over the floor, which appeared to have been there for a long time. The floor was also grimy, in need of a thorough scrubbing. The thought of the barista staff members being stuck cleaning up after careless customers, and then going back to prepare food and beverages made me wish for brain bleach. The gentleman taking orders was pleasant, though in a very low key way. Our order of the seasonal eggnog latte seemed heavy on foam, and light on actual liquid. The seating space was adequate, in a rectangular area, versus more spread out like some Starbucks. The most outstanding thing about the room was a substantial wooden table with irregular edges, almost burlwood style. It was striking to see. Otherwise, I think this location may quickly fade from memory. read more

Not sure why this place only has 3 stars.... I always pre order through the mobile app and my drinks always come out so delicious! However, I would say service is not always great. I believe there are some new hires and they just don't seem to really know much about customer service. Overall, I still choose this Starbucks over the millbrae square location! read more

I get to the location but they say they don't have anything for me to check the app. I did abs notice that it had the location for the order but it went to South San Francisco location. They told me it was due to their location for online ordering being down they were apologetic as was I cuz I didn't notice it did that. They made my order right on the spot for me. When I ordered the cold brew - one of them suggested I try their new Nitro cold coffee. So they poured me a small sample to taste. It was pretty good - but I still wanted the cold brew. This Starbucks is walking distance from Mills Peninsula hospital and was a godsend while we spent several days caring for an ill relative. We found quick service and well made drinks, plus a large seating area for kicking back, although many of the seats are at large common tables. The barista suggested I try brevia cream in my brewed coffee, an excellent choice; thumbs up for service.
