Oct 2025 special: red velvet latte
Connie C.

This Equator has been my staple. While this one doesnt have the views of Golden Gate Bridge, you do get a nice waterfront view of the Bay Trail and plane landings. There are some seating inside and outside. Drinks are generally on point, it could be a hit or miss on the seasonal, but mostly a hit. If you're not in for a giant cup to sip on, try their shakerato, its like an iced cortado. I used to get their lavender latte often, but havent seen that on their menu. For a coffee shop, their matcha isn't too bad. Ive heard great things about their frittata sandwich, have yet to try it. Oh and they have free equator jaguar stickers at the counter!

1/2 hour wait, ridiculous
Jeff H.

Updated back to five stars. There was no wait yesterday at 12:30 pm on a Sunday. My food and drinks came out within five minutes. We had two croissants and two drinks $20.50 and anticipated the wait to be around 30 minutes like usual. If you see a crowd of people waiting, walk out and go somewhere else. It won't be fast. The long wait times are due to mismanagement. It is not the workers' fault.

Iced Caramelized Banana Latte
Vicky C.

Accidentally stumbled across this place on a day out and decided to give it a try. It's a pretty small space and busy but I didn't mind, it was the weekend so I expected it to be a little busy. I ordered the iced caramelized banana latte and it was really good. I'm not sure if all drinks come unsweetened but they have a station of sugar, cream, and syrups so you can adjust it to your liking. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm out here!

The coffee was pretty good! I like the veggie frittata! The views are really why I like this location. The service was pretty good and will definitely return.

Utensil area, dog treats

This was my first time trying Equator Coffee, even though I've heard great things about the chain around the Bay Area--and I think it lived up to the hype! There are a few designated parking spots around the corner, which made things easier given how busy the area gets (especially being so close to the Meta offices). Inside, the space is somewhat limited seating, but that's to be expected at a popular spot like this. I ordered a specialty latte for March 2025 and really enjoyed it--smooth and flavorful. If you ask for light ice (as I always do on chilly days), they won't fill the drink to the top, which felt a little underwhelming. A sweet touch I noticed: they keep dog treats at the counter near the sugar and utensils station, which I thought was super thoughtful for pet parents passing through. Looking forward to coming back to try a pastry or food item next time!

Matcha latte with strawberry cold foam

I came here Saturday afternoon, quick order but took forever to get probably like 15 mins not worth it at all! The cold foam with the matcha was good but without the cold foam the matcha was bland highly don't recommend. The avocado toast was a huge disappointment. The staff is very bored like they'd rather be anywhere but there so overall it's a really negative experience. Not a coffee shop happy mood place! Go anywhere else!

I like this Equator! It is a well-known coffee chain in the Bay Area, but one I less frequently visit. My coworker suggested I visit this location. The coffee shop is exactly what you'd expect. I visited Equator Coffees in the late afternoon. Despite it being a weekday, the cafe was packed. A handful of customers chatting outside, working inside, and waiting for their drinks. The shop is spacious and minimalistic, with tables where you can work and hang out. Plus, there is an even more airy and open outdoor seating area. I found service to be average. Not necessarily friendly, but curt and respectful in terms of making drinks. I chose to mobile order one in-advance drink and then got another in-store for my family. It did take a bit longer, and there is a sign saying drink times can vary and be on the later end--as a heads up. Since I had a free reward, I crafted my specialty drink. I had an Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, Extra Matcha, Habibi Syrup, and Light Ice. If you order light ice, note your drink won't be filled all the way (like my photo). I enjoy their Habibi Latte, so I was curious to try it in matcha, but it clashed, in my opinion. The flavor pairing was too harsh and heavy. Aside from that, the overall drink quality was good, and I wouldn't mind trying something new. I got him a Hot Mocha for my Pop, which he enjoyed. Whether in the area or near the airport, Equator Coffees is a fantastic option for a caffeinated beverage. I look forward to trying their other locations. This one is easy to find on the corner, and there is plenty of free parking in the lot.

Outside seating

This is an underrated spot if you're looking to study at a coffee shop. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seats with charging outlets at every corner. If you're outside, you can watch the airplanes descend into SFO or take a walk by the peninsula. As for the drinks, I wanted to order their seasonal drink but they ran out of an ingredient. Understandable. I decided to go with an iced matcha latte as my alternative and it wasn't the best matcha latte I've tried. I couldn't really taste the matcha flavor and found the drink to be too milky. Service was average.

Came here to do some work the other day and loved it! I got the iced matcha latte and a prosciutto panini. The matcha was your standard matcha latte - not bad, but also not phenomenal. The panini was delicious though! Couldn't resist taking a bite before the picture The thing i loved the most was the space here! They offer free wifi, lots of work spaces, outdoor patio, and outlets at every table. There is also a small parking lot. The scenery outside is also very nice. It's located in the center of a few tech and corporate buildings. The staff here were very nice and welcoming as well! Definitely one of my top coffee shops in the Bay Area!

Very sheik and modern coffee shop in silicon valley. The coffees were great and the staff friendly. There is ample tables outdoor and a bike rack. Great pastries par for the course.

Not sure who comes here apart from Facebook employees and guests. I fell into the later category. The are arin but slow but make up for it with friendly staff and petty good coffee. My ham and cheese croissant was greasy, but super flaky and delicious I made a small mess, but was satisfied enough not to mind cleaning it up. They do have some reserved parking in the lot next to it, so if you are furious, you can pop in. They about the park on the shore, so a coffee and a stroll might just be the ticket. They had a black sesame latte on the seasonal menu that sounded intriguing, but it was sold out. Maybe another time. Definitely worth a try if you find yourself nearby

We were driving back from the city and wanted to stop by and get coffee on the way. It was my first time around the area and was slightly confused because it was a weekend and the offices were closed so it looked super empty. But we found the coffee shop because it was packed outside and inside as well. Ordered a matcha latte and it was a pretty standard drink, nothing too crazy. But the location of this coffee shop is definitely unique since it's by the bay with a nice view of the water.

I tried the cheesy twist, morning bun, and the ham and cheese croissant. I am pretty sure I tried other things but I can't remember exactly what but these were the stars. The cheesy twist kind of tasted like there was an Alfredo type sauce along with the cheese. It was delicious. One thing I wish I would have done is ask for it heated because I saw some other people doing that and it looked delicious. The morning bun was so good. It had a beautiful medley of spices that truly brightened your morning. The flavors were so balanced. As for the ham and cheese croissant, the star was the ham. The flavor of the ham reminded me of a thanksgiving ham. It was amazing! Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. I regret not getting a full loaf of bread to take home with me.

" You did your thing with this danish Chef" This danish now trumps my go to kouign Amann. By the way. I'm from Hawaii, so it might be one reason this flavor speaks to me, but I'm pretty sure anyone who likes a little tart, bright, perfect sweet will also enjoy it. If not more for me I did get an epi for my friend and a couple other goodies as well. I dropped off two items to a friend who works near and she could not thank me enough and tell me how much she enjoyed her goodies too.

I ordered the Gui Hua Oat Latte, since that sounded pretty unique. There was other drinks that I was interested in trying like some of the matcha drinks, but I rarely see an osmanthus-inspired drink at coffee shops. It is made already with oat milk, so I didn't have to ask for any milk substitutions. I thought it was pretty good in terms of a latte, however, I wish the osmanthus flavor was a little stronger. The barista mentioned that the latte would have more of a floral taste, but it felt pretty faint. Cost was pretty similar to other coffee shops in the area, since it was $8-9 for my drink with oat milk already included. Other than that, would come back if I'm ever back in the area. I like the cozy vibes and fun drinks that they have!

My friend ordered the Veggie Scramble and an iced Euro Latte. We both requested less sweet for our drinks. This turned out good for the Euro Latte but I had to go back and ask them to increase the sweetness for the Yema Latte. The drinks were good, nothing too mind-blowing. The Foreigner Favorite was yummy. I really liked the sausages and poached eggs. I love potatoes, and I wish these were a little bit crispier. Regardless, it was an enjoyable dish overall. It was also very filling, and I ended up taking leftovers home.

While it's nice to explore new spots, I keep returning here as a reliable favorite. The owner has been incredibly kind every time we've interacted. I remember he had used the simple tactic of calling me by my name (whether he'd remembered or I wore a name tag from work), which was such a nice personal touch the first few times I'd come in. It's nice whenever we see him around, and the rest of the staff are also friendly and chat with my partner and I whenever we stop in. You can tell it's a favorite spot for many more in the community as there is always someone sitting reading a newspaper, and a group chatting at a table (or folk like myself who talk to others in line or at the counter). There's never a real wait for the order to come out but I always pause to enjoy the music and have to find whatever song was playing. I also deeply admire the rotating art on the walls (perhaps from local artists?). It is always a peaceful energy with authentic community that you won't find at any chain nearby. The menu itself is impressive between food and drinks with everything being very reasonably priced. I love getting an iced latte and also indulging in a gluten free treat every now and then. It is 100% worth it to come stop by, grab some fuel and support this wonderful business. Maybe you'll become a regular too.
