I was visiting the area for work and found Equator coffee within walking distance of my hotel. The vibe is really laid back and friendly. There are lots of seating options both inside and out. The servers chat with the customers and you get the sense that there are a lot of regulars that get to know the staff. I was disappointed with the coffee. When I travel for work, I typically order espresso drinks for my morning coffee because the drip coffee is unpredictable. With espresso, you expect a dark roasted bean with a rich flavor. Unfortunately, I think they are using light or medium roasted beans for their espresso because the espresso was quite bitter (even in a cappuccino). That said, I came back each morning I was in the area. The seating area is so pleasant and the bay air can't be beat! read more

This coffee shop location is pretty random. It's nestled right in a Meta campus but it's open to the public! There was a parking lot right next to the shop so we went and parked there. There's not a ton of seating inside so don't go bringing large parties. Perhaps this shop is more of a grab and go type shop. They have 10 oz and 16 oz drinks but the 16 oz is only like $0.50 more which I was dumb and didn't realize. The 16 oz is a better deal! I got an 10oz mocha and I thought it was pretty good! The drink is nice and creamy. I didn't adjust the default sweetness and thought it was good, not too sweet but enough for me! My spouse got the brown butter caramel latte. He liked it! This is the second Equator location that I've been to and the coffee does not disappoint. I got an Iced Caramelized Banana Latte. It was creamy and a bit sweet. I loved it! I like Equator coffee... I'm happy this location opened. Waiting this past Sunday was rough considering it was Mother's Day morning. They have good quality coffee beans and coffee. The selection of pastries is always a plus. I love the merch offered as well, almost bought a corduroy hat for the hubs. Overall Equator is a coffee spot I've returned to time and time again. It's not a daily occurrence but definitely worth the intermittent times during the year. This Equator has been my staple. While this one doesnt have the views of Golden Gate Bridge, you do get a nice waterfront view of the Bay Trail and plane landings. There are some seating inside and outside. Drinks are generally on point, it could be a hit or miss on the seasonal, but mostly a hit. If you're not in for a giant cup to sip on, try their shakerato, its like an iced cortado. I used to get their lavender latte often, but havent seen that on their menu. Inside, the space is somewhat limited seating, but that's to be expected at a popular spot like this. I ordered a specialty latte for March 2025 and really enjoyed it--smooth and flavorful. If you ask for light ice (as I always do on chilly days), they won't fill the drink to the top, which felt a little underwhelming. A sweet touch I noticed: they keep dog treats at the counter near the sugar and utensils station, which I thought was super thoughtful for pet parents passing through. Accidentally stumbled across this place on a day out and decided to give it a try. It's a pretty small space and busy but I didn't mind, it was the weekend so I expected it to be a little busy. I like this Equator! It is a well-known coffee chain in the Bay Area, but one I less frequently visit. My coworker suggested I visit this location. The coffee shop is exactly what you'd expect. I visited Equator Coffees in the late afternoon. Despite it being a weekday, the cafe was packed. A handful of customers chatting outside, working inside, and waiting for their drinks. The shop is spacious and minimalistic, with tables where you can work and hang out. Plus, there is an even more airy and open outdoor seating area. I found service to be average. Not necessarily friendly, but curt and respectful in terms of making drinks. I chose to mobile order one in-advance drink and then got another in-store for my family. It did take a bit longer, and there is a sign saying drink times can vary and be on the later end--as a heads up. Since I had a free reward, I crafted my specialty drink. I had an Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, Extra Matcha, Habibi Syrup, and Light Ice. If you order light ice, note your drink won't be filled all the way (like my photo). I enjoy their Habibi Latte, so I was curious to try it in matcha, but it clashed, in my opinion. The flavor pairing was too harsh and heavy. Aside from that, the overall drink quality was good, and I wouldn't mind trying something new. I got him a Hot Mocha for my Pop, which he enjoyed. Whether in the area or near the airport, Equator Coffees is a fantastic option for a caffeinated beverage. I look forward to trying their other locations. This is an underrated spot if you're looking to study at a coffee shop. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seats with charging outlets at every corner. If you're outside, you can watch the airplanes descend into SFO or take a walk by the peninsula. As for the drinks, I wanted to order their seasonal drink but they ran out of an ingredient. Understandable. I decided to go with an iced matcha latte as my alternative and it wasn't the best matcha latte I've tried. A smaller branch located on the corner floor of one of the Meta buildings, Equator Coffee offers premium coffee selection at the standard-for-SF coffee prices. On this trip, I tried one of their seasonal offerings--the brown sugar caramel latte, which definitely offered a hint of caramel which didn't overpower the smooth as silk latte. This branch is definitely meant to serve the offices surrounding it, and as such I could imagine it gets pretty hectic during the lunch rush as well as on work on site days. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating opportunities, with frequent sockets at the indoor tables. Free parking is also available behind the building, near the bay trail. Ultimately, I wouldn't go out of my way to get this place, but it's worth a try if you're already in the area! read more

Came here to do some work the other day and loved it! I got the iced matcha latte and a prosciutto panini. The matcha was your standard matcha latte - not bad, but also not phenomenal. The panini was delicious though! Couldn't resist taking a bite before the picture The thing i loved the most was the space here! They offer free wifi, lots of work spaces, outdoor patio, and outlets at every table. There is also a small parking lot. The scenery outside is also very nice. Not sure who comes here apart from Facebook employees and guests. I fell into the later category. The are arin but slow but make up for it with friendly staff and petty good coffee. My ham and cheese croissant was greasy, but super flaky and delicious I made a small mess, but was satisfied enough not to mind cleaning it up. They do have some reserved parking in the lot next to it, so if you are furious, you can pop in. They about the park on the shore, so a coffee and a stroll might just be the ticket. I came here on a Sunday so there was ample parking. Equator is one of the few coffee shops where I find that the drinks are always consistent. The espresso doesn't get watered down and if I order a flavored latte, I can usually taste it and it's not too sweet. My go-to is a vanilla latte (hot or iced). At $6.25 a cup, pricing seems fair. Their cold brew ($5) is also a decent deal and it's pretty smooth. My shiba pup loves tagging along whenever I decide to grab a cup of coffee because there's a jar of milk bone treats by the condiment stand. I typically grab a couple for him to enjoy while we embark on an afternoon stroll. The interior is quite small, but there's plenty of seating outdoors (if you don't mind the wind). There was only one reason I was here at 8am on a Saturday morning where I otherwise could have been sleeping in. Why? Because I had the pleasure of taking my parents to SFO for their international flight. I never knew this spot existed here until I used my Yelp app to find coffee on the way back home to San Jose. First off, Can I just say how beautiful this area is along the waterfront? Perks of living in the Bay area and being in California. We have water. Simple as that. I've never explored this area but I could see that there was a trail where I saw bikers/ runners/ walkers along a path right alongside the water. Back to the coffee experience. Since it was my first time here, I took one look at the menu and I saw all of their offerings. I saw strange and foreign names like a "Brainwash Latte" (which is a mushroom blend that is incorporated into a latte) and an "Iced shakerato" (8oz - 2 shots espresso, dark brown sugar, 2oz heavy cream shaken until frothy). Enter Zeid who was the most patient Barista behind the counter. When I explained to him that it was my first time here, he was so accommodating and entertained all my questions because I had no idea what to order. Zeid was able to tell me what was good, what certain drinks tasted like and what were their most popular drinks were. Because of him, I finally decided that I was going to have my regular Matcha latte and the "Habibi" latte. It was nice to see them have the traditional Japanese Chasen to whisk the matcha powder behind the counter. Definitely not something you see at Starbucks. The Matcha latte itself was just as I like it.. Frothy from the milk with the familiar matcha taste that I've grown to love. The Habibi Latte (orange blossom, cardamom, clove, vanilla syrup, 2 shots espresso & steamed milk) was a happy surprise. The orange essence was distinctive and subtle at the same time. Love this location! came here for an afternoon pick-me-up and to do some reading. Grabbed a cherry blossom matcha latte which I assume is a seasonal drink. It was tasty, really light on the matcha flavor, but had a very floral taste to it. I didn't mind it at all. They do have a sign right outside their entrance saying they have kind of a hefty wait time (up to 20 mins?). We came when it wasn't too busy so we waited maybe 10 mins for two matcha drinks to come out. Not too bad, just something to keep in mind if you're in a rush. I parked nearby but had a short walk to Equator. When I came I there was a few tables with outlets inside and other tables outside. Most of the inside tables were full. There was no line so I walked right in and was helped quickly. The batista was super friendly and patient while I figured out what I wanted. I ordered a lavender cold brew cream and a breakfast sandwich with prosciutto per the recommendation of the batista. The cold brew was yum at first sip. It was rich and creamy. The lavender was prominent but not overpowering. Despite that, I don't think I would order it again because cold brew isn't my jam. The breakfast sandwich was out of this world. Nestled amongst the office buildings, parking was super easy, and when we got there it was not busy whatsoever! I got the 16 oz autumn spice latte, hot, with oat milk. It was delicious, not too sweet, and very smooth. This was a great place for us to do work as it wasn't too loud, the bench/table space faced outwards so you never had that awkward sitting across from a stranger thing going on. Wow! I randomly stumbled upon equator when I was finishing some lunch in downtown Burlingame and I'm so happy I did. It's tucked closer to the bay near the Meta campus. Parking is pretty available, even when the store was so busy on a Sunday afternoon. Families with kids and dogs were coming in quite frequently. The tables all had outlets so I suspect during weekdays a lot of people are catching up on work there. I ordered the strawberry matcha cream and my boyfriend got the shakerato. I enjoyed my drink, would rate it 4/5. I think I wouldve liked a more powerful flavor from the strawberry or matcha, but it blended pretty well already. The shakerato was extremely delicious. 5/5! The small size is just the amount of caffeine you need to get you boosted without totally getting you wired. I love how it is just the right amount of sweetness for me. I'm writing this review a month plus after I visited and I remember how nice the workers were! They were so helpful with our questions on recommendations and very welcoming.
