Walked in and both workers carried on without acknowledging me for minutes before I asked if they were open. Finally the girl takes my order but not without issues logging on. I repeated my order at least 3x. Maybe she's new, but Ive never had issues ordering my drink before and I've been getting the same thing for years. I went to use the restroom and there wasn't any tissue, so I let them know. The other lady that came to refill it was taking her time and stayed in the restroom for another 5min before coming out to ask for assistance with the keys. I finally just ended up leaving. Honestly never had an issue with this Starbucks like others have had. I've always been met with friendly and helpful service from the employees and I can sympathize having worked in the service industry dealing with Karens and people with impossibly high standards. The store is usually clean and my drinks come out pretty quickly especially when I order ahead on the Starbucks app. The store isn't huge, but it's comfortable. My go to is usually the iced Chai Tea Latte and it's one of the easier drinks for the employees to make so I order it a lot with oatmilk. Sometimes I add cream cold foam if I feel like treating myself too. This Starbucks is located in a pretty good location in downtown Millbrae and it's nearby the Safeway and Trader Joe's so it's a great place to stop by after grocery shopping. read more

Starbucks quality and service has been all over the map in the past few years. This Starbucks hasn't followed that trend. They've been at the lower end of good service for many years now. The coffee itself is acceptable. Not remarkable, but typical. The servers, however, have been an unpleasant mixture of snarky and condescending. They seem to think that serving coffee is beneath them, and that customers, the ones wanting the coffee, are a notch below that. Combine that with a small location, physically, and some of the worst available parking anywhere, and getting coffee at this Starbucks requires a focus and dedication reserved for only the truly addicted. Unless you absolutely have to have something that only Starbucks offers, I'd suggest one of the alternatives located nearby. There are other coffee retailers with better parking and better attitudes quite close by. After I visited this Starbucks a couple of times, that's what I've settled on, patronizing one of their competitors. I have family members, however, that insist on only drinking Starbucks, and so I still get back here with uncomfortable frequency. I'll just park, if possible, and let them get their potion. I won't, and sometimes can't even if I wanted to, because of the parking. I'll just circle the lot, or wait on a side-street nearby. They'll get their caffeine, and then we'll go and park at one of my preferred beverage outlets, park, and enjoy our coffees in a relaxed atmosphere. read more

I left the car rental area of SFO and chose this Starbucks to get an espresso and some pastries. What I love about this location is the plentiful parking all around this corner location as well as in the surrounding mini shopping mall. Doesn't have much in the way of indoor tables and chairs but they do have outside tables with umbrellas...I suspect the umbrella won't matter in a storm but today was an awesome sunny day...so I just took my Starbucks break outside. The baristas were friendly and fast...had the pastry I wanted and was other wise treated very well. This Starbucks is so dysfunctional. I am a loyal Starbucks customer but I can't stand stores like this that don't take the time to train their employees on how to make their drinks properly. First off when I order a Pink drink they should let me know BEFORE they ring me up and take my money that they don't have it in stock. Secondly, when I order their non fat latte they need to pay attention to non fat milk for those of use that are lactose intolerant. Also, their employees like to give major attitude to customers who aren't regulars and give discounts to their friends at Trader Joe's. Umm...if you're going to give free drinks it should be to essential workers and not your friends. This is a very busy Starbucks close to SFO and many delicious restaurants in the area. The store looks little older than most of the Starbucks, but has more indoor seating than most of the newer Starbucks today! I'm there on a Monday morning at around 9am. The store has many customers in there enjoying their coffee or drinks already. I have my order about 5 minutes after paid. No bad with so many people are waiting for their orders. I have enjoy my coffee at a small table in front of the order counter. The table is not clean. I have to clean it by myself. The chairs are not comfortable at all. I don't know those chairs are come without backrest or Starbucks cut it out to make sure no one is sit down too comfortable in there. I saw only one of the same exactly design chair in there with the backrest! Outdoor seating area is very tiny. They have a very few tables in front of the store. Street parking only. I found my parking less than one block always easy! But I don't know this is the situation in the weekend or the lunch time! read more

Before you pass any more judgement on my affinity for basic Fall flavors and the glorious fruit that is the avocado, I'd like to point out that this Starbucks especially merits a review for being one of the fancy test locations for new products and services! Allow me to explain why this Starbucks is great: 1. This location offers wine and craft beer, and is open late into the night. This is a smart idea, and I'm glad we at the Millbrae store get to guinea-pig it! Housing all of my dependencies in one place makes for a very compelling environment to work remotely in. Why sign in at work when their coffee is burnt and the office fridge only has Coronitas? Starbucks, you now own my heart, body, soul, and wallet. GG WP. 2. The wireless charging station actually worked. While I've spent many a day in a Starbucks for work, school, or leisure, I've found that the availability and functionality of the little charger-ring-things has been spotty. This one actually did its job without requiring me to get all tangled in cables, so I appreciated that. 3. They have mac n cheese. GOD do they really need to take ALL of my money? 4. Baristas were quick and friendly, and wrote my name as "Steve" rather than "Steeb/Grieve/Seed," so definite plus points for not being spiteful or slow. So - not sure I'll continue to frequent this location when I can find other locals that are more consistent. Perhaps get management to train the employees better? Didn't really like their nonchalant attitude of "yeah we ran out". And that was it. Fast forward I decided to just give a call to the Millbrae store and the barista (Brian? Ryan?) was so kind and courteous and said yeah just come in and we'll add whipped cream for you! I'm not surprised. Best customer service. They get very backed up in the morning and the don't call out mobile orders more than once so even when multiple people are standing around waiting you have to ask for your mobile order. The barista (glasses with hair in a bun, around 1pm on 4/13/19) gave my boyfriend and I attitude when we asked if she could pour a bit of the coffee from the cup because we wanted room for cream. The coffee was filled to the top of the grande cup. We were being polite by not pouring the coffee directly into the trash bags. She poured 1/3 of our coffee away and walked away without asking if that's what we wanted. We definitely did not need 1/3 of the cup for cream, or I would have asked for a latte.
