Worst experience ever. They sent three different technicians to repair our gate, and it is still falling apart. The workmanship is extremely poor. Instead of using proper wood screws, they relied almost entirely on a nail gun, and the nails are already causing staining and bleeding down the boards. To make matters worse, the fence posts are splitting in multiple places, raising serious concerns about the quality of the materials and installation. We spent over $12,000 on this project and ended up with a fence that looks unfinished and poorly constructed, covered in visible nails and defects. For the amount of money we paid, we expected professional craftsmanship and a durable product. Unfortunately, this is some of the worst workmanship I have ever seen, and I would not recommend this company based on our experience. read more

I contacted Home Depot regarding a vinyl fence quote and they steered me to their contacted contractors "Peerless Construction" HD advised someone would contact me for the quote. Needless to say I read the reviews and they were horrible and scary. Based upon that I passed on subpar workmanship that know one will be responsible for. I mentioned the poor reviews to HD the representative said " it's your choice" I mentioned the reviews to the Peerless representative and she said " did you still want to schedule a quote?" No follow up after the initial visit. I was told I'd get the estimates in a few days. I called the office after a week and was promised estimates by end of the day. Still nothing. This company provides services through Home Depot so I thought they'd be more reliable. Its just as well. My biggest regret was not taking the existing reviews serious. My niece had a fence installed by Peerless last year and it looked great. She was very happy with the install from start to finish. I liked the sales person and the product when he came out. Also happy with the price. It went downhill from there. The initial install was great. No significant damage to my plants or my neighbors. Except I didn't like that they did break a small piece of decoration of my neighbors and said nothing. When they installed my gate they asked if the door should swing out or in. They never mentioned that it makes a difference where the actual latch would be. When they left I looked and found they installed the latch on the outside. I contacted them letting them know that's unacceptable and I should have gotten better details before they installed the gate. Also the lock itself was not working correctly and we were unable to open the gate The other side of the yard was supposed to have chain link gate installed. They did install the post but no gate. I have dogs and have had no gate since June, 2 months ago. . This was all in June. It's now mid August. I kept asking to speak with someone to try to work out a reasonable solution. No one ever reached out to me to discuss the issues. Their receptionist was the only one that was easy to get but any message she forwarded went through unanswered They came today when I wasn't home and replaced the latch and did say it was broken but did not say or do anything about it being on the wrong side. Peerless indicated that they could no longer fulfill a fence installation after having worked with their company for approximately 6 months and a 6k down payment. Installation was set for 10/28/2022- I received a call on 11/02/2022 stating that they could not move forward with the installation. I contacted my credit card company to dispute all charges to insure a reimbursement!! The company's manager Sam said they could not complete the installation because my sales representative no longer worked for the company.... Total nonsense. Buyers BEWARE! Just ridiculously outrageous, No integrity what so ever with this company !!Garbage!!! A total waste of time and energy with these incompetent people !!! No follow-up on my fence project after initial visit. We placed a call inquiring on our status and still no call. Poor!

I signed the contract wanted to pay the 1sr installment but the rep John wanted to get info on locks after we went through all of this at the consultation. I called him left messages no call back. Phone went directly to voice mail. Caked the main number left 3 messages for the manager no calf back after 48 hours. Some to Susan she had her manager can the sales rep and he was going to call me in 5 minutes and she would call me before 5pm before she left. I never even received a call from anyone. If you didn't want my buisness why just don't tell me? Your prices are less expensive then the competition but you get what you pay for. read more

I would give this group zero if I could. one of the worst businesses I have ever hired. I wasn't going to write a review since I am tired of them and their snarky replies to the BBB a few months ago. Suffice to say different people have been to my house and commented on the shoddy fence that was installed by this group costing $5685.00. one friend said "the gate is crooked and it is not finished ". Another asked "why does it slope down in the middle?'. It has cost me several hundred dollars to repair the damage to my yard. Trellises broken, statue broken. I paid to have my garden helper cut everything back or tie plants back and they still stomped on everything. Poor clean up. I went out after they ( and they left without saying anything) left and found a large trellis resting on the power lines. First I thought I could do the clean up myself and declined their offer to send someone but a few days later I called back and left a message requesting a clean up. We finally connected the following Tuesday. The man offered to send someone the next day but I informed him I was going to be out of town and I would be back on Monday, December 20th and I wanted to be here to supervise the clean up and to clean up what was done in my neighbor's yard. The man assured me he would call me on Tuesday, December 21st. Never heard a word from them Until I filed a complaint with BBB. Snarky replies from them. Rude, non-existent customer service. I wrote to the owner months ago, included pictures-never heard from him. Very condescending to a female senior citizen. I would suggest that the owner read about Sol Polk of Polk Brothers to learn about customer service and how to run a business. Peerless installed a new fence in my house. Installation went great but I called for a service repair. They took a long time to respond. When they responded they wanted to come out the same day. Luckily I was home. When they arrived I was not notified. They fixed the issue and left. No communication at all. Now reported another service call over a month ago and they still have not communicated. They also installed a grey board that looks ugly. I probably would not use them again. I had a fence installed back in march of this year, the fence looked great but not even two months later nails came out the top of two boards I called the company and the lady said that they don't have any information that there company installed my fence, so I reached out to the sales guy Lee he stated that he would contact the company and get someone out to fix my fence and I have yet to hear anything. Had the job done two weeks ago. They cracked a board on the fence, and left a horrible gap on the bottom. I have dogs and wanted no gapes at the bottom and was told no problem. I contacted them the day after installation and have gotten no help resolving the problems. Worst company ever and why Home Depot would give me these clowns for the job make me mad too. read more

The sales man will promise things that you'll come to find out later aren't possible and forget about trying to get anything repaired. Where do I start. Fence installation was June 2022. I have waited this long to write a review in the interest of trying to be patient and fair with this company. I have had it with them now. First let me say, be sure to read your contract and be sure they follow it. The customer service rating, if i could give negative stars i would. Workmanship, depends on the team working, i had two team, the first team was very polite and tried to do a good job but made a mistake in following the contract, so i had to halt the work in the middle of the installation to save them materials that they would have to take down and replace. The second team was rude. Multiple communication attempts to Peerless since with substandard or no response. As of today, they still have not made the needed repairs (substandard post and gate). salesman was to have called by EOB 9/8/222, still have not heard back. looks like a BBB may need to be filed. i paid them in full (should have held half until they made the repairs). I am extremely disappointed with this company, should have went elsewhere (Peerless St. Charles IL is what is on my invoice). read more
