My wife took her 2022 VW Tiguan in because of an oil light came on. They determined that it was the oil level sensor that needed to be replaced. She went ahead and had them do it before checking with me. They charged her $657 for a job that takes less than an hour for them to do. Charge wayyyy to much I took my infinity in for a radiator replacement and they tried to charge me 2,000. I'm not doubting they do a good job but the prices aren't right for what they do. Had a challenger rt in there before for an oil change and they told me I need new shocks rear end and told me there was play in the driveshaft. Took the car to a different shop to get a second opinion they let me look at everything there was absolutely no play in the driveshaft. Rear end was completely fine only thing the car actually needed was the front passenger shock. I don't recommend going here if you're unsure of what repair you need or the actual cost. Steve does do a good job of communicating and giving updates but when I asked for an itemized receipt or quote he said we don't do that. read more

I am continued to be impressed by Peerless. I had to have insurance work done on my car(catalytic converter and other exhaust components were stolen). Unfortunately, insurance would not budge on parts and I'll leave a review on my insurance later. After having several bad experiences at other shops(see my reviews), it is nice to see someone even when they have to use less than perfect parts, do good work on my car. So if you want work that is done well, and done as though it is their car(at least looking at the work afterward) go with Peerless. read more

Paid $450 and they didn't even fix this issue. Had a 2018 Silverado with a 6.2L, only 79000 miles. After having the truck for 3 days and over the weekend when just asking for diagnostics, they tried to charge me $1250! I told them that was ludicrous so they dropped the price to what I paid but I'm still at square 1. They also left my fuse box cover in the bottom of the engine bay and got oil all over my motor. I'm the kind of guy who will live in his car. Not figuratively, but definitely subjectively and I was pretty hard on it. I won't get into all the details, but I'm embarrassed to say that I let things get out of hand and my car was in need of a serious interior cleaning. A friend recommended Peerless Automotive and I'm glad she did. This was a pretty big job, so the dealership kept my car for the good part of the day. They asked me to empty everything out of the interior and then did a super deep thorough clean that honestly exceeded all expectations. Like I said above, I was super rough on my car and was expecting the worst, but the staff at Peerless went above and beyond and made the interior look almost brand new. They even did a quick outside rinse and polished my tires for me. The whole thing cost around $140 including taxes. I know that sounds like a lot, but I will gladly point out that I wasn't the one doing the dirty work and they did a better job than I ever would have. if you have a coupon for an oil change it is worth it. I was there with an appointment for an hour. (but add another hour driving back and forth). This is the first time I've had an issue like this. I've been there before and it took them a while to do an oil change... but this time they charged me 108.76 dollars for a 13 dollar part . It is the oil filter cover. I didn't know what Steve was talking about at first. I wish I asked to see the part a head of time. I almost did. Damage could be caused from heat or from over tightening which peerless was the last place I got an oil change. Looked like a kid was working on my car too so my gut tells me he tightened it the wrong way. I've never changed my oil but I've been taught. Moving forward, probably going to do this myself. Disappointed in the price and time I spent there. Ruined my day. read more

I wanted to come on Yelp to write a review, because people need to know how awesome Peerless Automotive is! After my last alternator issue I said I would come back for maintenance to this awesomely reliable shop, and that's what I did today! I heard my front brakes squealing as a warning indicator that my front pads are almost gone. I also knew I was probably due for new rotors for the front as well due to minor shaking during deceleration. After a super fast and professional diagnostic, they confirmed my suspicion. I arrived at the shop at 9:00 a.m. with an appointment, and in an incredibly short amount of time they already gave me a very competitive pricing quote for new front rotors and ceramic pads, as well as an amazingly short time frame in which it would be done. In just a couple hours the parts were already put on my vehicle, and I watched them take my vehicle for a test drive to ensure that the brakes were in proper working order. The name of the tech working on my vehicle was Justin, and I found out today he's done previous work on my vehicle as well. Justin has done absolutely outstanding work, at a super fast and professional pace, while maintaining high quality workmanship and attention to detail. I'm very thankful for techs like Justin, who do amazing work and keep older vehicles like mine (219,000 miles now) on the road in reliable and working order! Steve and Jose at the front desk were friendly, kind, and super professional as always. It is a true pleasure to walk into this shop with peace of mind, great prices, and speedy high quality workmanship, especially with my odd work schedule to make appointments around. SCAMMERS! Stay away! I was underneath my car looking for the source of an oil leak and found it was coming from the gasket between the oil filter housing and the engine block. I took it to PEERLESS and while they were working on it they texted me pictures of fresh oil all around my oilpan and said I needed a new oilpan gasket for over $1,000. It was totally dry an hour before I went there. They sent pictures of the differential (aka the "rear end") with fresh oil on it and said it needed a new seal for $500+. It was totally dry an hour before I took it there. Said I needed new brake pads and rotors, front and rear - almost $2,000. It did need pads, which I paid $38 (from Rock Auto) and did them myself. I told them only fix the oil filter housing gasket (a $12 part) and they charged me $400. When I went to pay, the guy was emphatic that it was going to leak oil. Said it over and over. I park it in the garage and there is NO oil leak anywhere. A thirty minute job cost me $400. My next step is reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Avoid them like the plague! I've gotten an oil change from here before and my friend got an oil change last week. They took over an hour even with an appointment and she discovered later that night that her car was leaking oil so she had to go back the next day to get it fixed. They fixed it but just seems a little amateurish to mess up an oil change and having it take over an hour. I get that unexpected things can happen but........There's probably better places to go (if you have a coupon might be worth it but otherwise I'd probably look elsewhere) read more

The check emissions light came on and my horn didn't work, so i came here. they told me my check emissions light was due to my thermostat going out. they tried to charge me almost $ 600 to replace it, even though it's a $ 10 part and i went home and did it myself in less than an hour. they fixed my horn just fine, but the fact that they tried to charge me that much for the thermostat issue made me upset. when i asked someone at the front why they wanted to charge me that much, he basically just told me what work they have to do. which is what i went home and did myself, for $10 and less than an hour. only took one 10mm socket wrench, the new thermostat and some coolant. read more

My dad bought two groupons for us to use to have our cars detailed. I'm planning on trading mine in soon, so the timing was good. We set an appointment a couple months out, then we had to go out of town at the last minute, but they were happy to reschedule us for a week later with no issue. My dad's suburban was done first, and when we pulled into the parking lot he was already exclaiming about how great it looked just from the outside. I had my SUV done the next day, and let me tell you, my car was a mess! I honestly haven't deep cleaned it in the 5 years that I've owned it. It's lucky to get vacuumed once every couple months. I had cup holders used to hold change that had gotten sticky from spilled drinks. There's a well underneath the driver's seat that seems to collect everything and the vacuum has never made it back that far. The vents have never been cleaned of dust. So, I was a little nervous about what they would say about my car. When I picked it up I was told "don't worry; we've seen worse." I must say that my car hasn't looked this good since the first week I drove it off the lot! Even some of the little door ding paint smudges were buffed out by the nice wax my car received. This was a great experience and I would do it again. I think the 1-star review here is really unfair. Anyone who has used Groupon before knows that businesses get inundated with calls after the certificates are issued. If it's for a service business like this that requires appointments, you are going to have a wait - it doesn't matter what the service is. I have to say that the wait was worth it in this case. They do a great job, and they even have experience working on classic cars, so don't be hesitant to take any vehicle there. read more

But, when we picked up his truck it was as if it was coming off the showroom floor...seriously! They are very detailed...beautiful job, I bought my husband another groupon and we go again in a couple of months. Ok, so go where you can get in and get subpar results. My hairdresser is also super busy and I have a hard time getting in on a whim, so I plan ahead and call well in advance...same for my doctor, she's very busy, a year out for a yearly check-up! A couple of weeks ago I began the search for a first car for my son. I wanted a safe, reliable car for him. Before purchasing a car, I would insist to the seller that I wanted to take the car to Peerless Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection. With tax it was just under $40. A VERY good investment in my opinion when you are making a big purchase like that. I talked to Stephen and he was always very helpful and honest about everything. We took 2 vehicles there and both times he would tell me what their techs found during the inspection and also his opinion as to whether or not he felt it was a good deal. I know at the price range we were looking, we were not going to find a vehicle in perfect condition. It was a matter of ensuring there were no major conditions that I as a buyer would not be aware of. Both vehicles we took in had repairs that would be easily over $1500 to fix. Needless to say, we declined both of those cars and kept up our search. The $40 investment was VERY WELL worth it as you can see from this example. We finally found the perfect car for us and Stephen again helped with that. He made me feel comfortable that I was making the right decision and has gained a lifetime customer. He went well above and beyond what I would have ever expected!! It is nice to know an Automotive shop that is honest with their customers and doesn't try to push things on you or sell you on services that may not be necessary at that time.
